Owning YGG: Uses, Networks and Risks

YGG is the token associated with Yield Guild Games, a network built around web3 gaming communities, game discovery and player activities. The project describes quests such as Superquests and the Guild Advancement Program, which can help members build an on-chain record of achievements. YGG has also been described as a governance and rewards-access token, but check the current rules before assuming that holding or staking it grants a particular right or benefit.

YGG’s positioning now also includes AI data and human-feedback work. The availability of tasks, pay, fees and the token’s role in this work need confirmation before you take part. Don’t treat the project’s gaming or AI activity as a promise of earnings, and don’t assume that simply holding YGG gives you access to a task or reward. If you’re considering joining, first check what the specific activity requires and whether its terms explain any YGG use.

YGG is issued on Ethereum, Base, Ronin, Harmony, BNB Chain, Polygon and Abstract. It is not listed as the native token of any of these networks, so check that you select the right network when sending or receiving it. A token on one network may not be interchangeable with a version on another without a supported bridge or exchange deposit route.

Use a wallet that supports the network you choose. For example, EVM-compatible wallets can work with networks such as Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon and Abstract when configured correctly; Ronin has wallets designed for its network. Before sending funds, confirm the YGG token contract and network using a trusted project channel, then check that your receiving wallet or exchange supports that exact version. Make a small test transfer if appropriate. A correct-looking token name or ticker alone does not prove that a token is genuine.

YGG has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. About 899.6 million were circulating out of that total as of November 8, 2026. Circulating supply can change, so check a current supply figure before relying on it. The remaining difference between circulating and maximum supply is not, by itself, a schedule for future releases or a measure of how much will enter the market at any particular time.

Token supply figures do not tell you what YGG is worth or whether its uses will grow. Its market price can move sharply, and a past high or low does not indicate where it may trade next. If you’re comparing the token with another asset, look separately at supply, current activity, token rules and the risks of the networks involved. Avoid making a decision based only on the maximum supply or on a price chart.

Store YGG in a wallet that supports its specific network, and keep your recovery phrase offline. Never share that phrase or a private key with a person, website or support account; anyone who obtains it may be able to take your tokens. Consider a hardware wallet if you need stronger protection for long-term storage, and secure the device and recovery backup separately.

Before approving a transaction, check the network, recipient address, token contract and requested permissions. A token approval can give a contract permission to move tokens, so avoid approving unfamiliar requests and review or revoke permissions you no longer need using a trusted wallet tool. If you use a centralized exchange, confirm that it supports deposits and withdrawals on the exact YGG network you intend to use. Sending tokens to an unsupported network or address can result in permanent loss.

YGG’s value and usefulness depend on more than its token supply. The project’s gaming activities, on-chain quests and any AI data or human-feedback tasks may change, and task availability, pay, fees and token utility need confirmation before you participate. Governance or staking descriptions should not be treated as guaranteed rewards or rights; check the current terms, lock-up conditions and contract details first.

There are also token and network risks. The market price may fall substantially, and tokens sent on the wrong chain may be difficult or impossible to recover. Smart-contract bugs, compromised accounts, fake token contracts and phishing messages can put your holdings at risk. YGG is not a claim on a share of a company or a guaranteed source of income. Only commit an amount you can afford to lose, and take time to verify every contract interaction before signing.
