What does WINGS do?
WINGS is Wingbits’ token for a decentralized flight-tracking network. Contributors collect ADS-B aviation data, which the project describes as part of building a shared map of the sky. Wingbits says contributors can earn WINGS for this work, so the token’s stated role is tied to rewarding participation in the network.
If you hold WINGS, distinguish that stated use from a promise of income: rewards depend on the project’s rules and activity, and token value can change. Wingbits has not published token-holder rights such as governance or a claim on company revenue in the facts available about the token’s purpose. Don’t assume holding WINGS gives you access to a particular service or guarantees rewards. Before spending money on equipment or contributing data, check the current reward conditions and any costs that apply to your setup.
Which chain and wallet can hold WINGS?
WINGS is issued on Solana; it is not listed as a native token of its own blockchain. To store or transfer it yourself, use a wallet that supports Solana tokens, and verify that the wallet recognizes the exact WINGS asset before sending funds. Token names and tickers can be copied, so confirm the asset through Wingbits’ official channels rather than relying on a search result or symbol alone.
A Solana wallet generally needs SOL to pay network fees for transactions you initiate. Wingbits says it pays Solana fees when it sends reward tokens, but that does not mean it covers fees for your own transfers or trades. If you use an exchange, check that it supports WINGS deposits and withdrawals on Solana; sending through an unsupported network can result in lost funds. Try a small transfer first when practical.
How many WINGS tokens are there?
WINGS has a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. As of November 8, 2026, about 985.4 million were circulating, while the reported total supply was 10 billion. The difference between circulating and total supply matters: tokens not currently circulating may enter circulation later, depending on the project’s release arrangements.
These figures are a snapshot, not a guarantee of how many tokens are available at any later date. Wingbits has not published a full release schedule in the token facts here, so you should check its current token information before making assumptions about future supply. A large maximum supply does not, by itself, tell you what a token is worth or how rewards are distributed. Consider circulating supply, unlocks and actual network use separately.
How can you store WINGS more safely?
For self-custody, keep your wallet’s recovery phrase offline and private. Anyone with that phrase may be able to control the wallet, and a legitimate support agent should not need you to share it. Store it somewhere secure and separate from your phone or computer; avoid screenshots, cloud notes and messages that could be accessed if an account is compromised.
Check transaction details before approving them, including the token and destination address. Be cautious of unsolicited messages, fake reward claims and websites asking you to connect a wallet or sign an unfamiliar request. If you hold WINGS through an exchange instead, secure the account with a unique password and available two-factor authentication, and understand the exchange’s withdrawal rules. Self-custody reduces reliance on an exchange but puts recovery and transaction security on you.
What could go wrong with holding WINGS?
WINGS is a small, volatile cryptoasset. As of November 8, 2026, its reported price was about $0.00192, with a market capitalization of about $1.9 million. These are changing market figures, not a valuation or a prediction. A thin market can make it harder to trade at the price you expect, and a quoted price does not guarantee that you can sell a particular amount at that level.
The project also depends on people contributing useful flight data and on the network maintaining demand for that data. If participation, reward rules or adoption change, the token’s usefulness and market interest may change too. Don’t treat contributor rewards as guaranteed returns, and only commit funds you can afford to lose. Check the token’s contract or asset identity, trading and withdrawal conditions, and current project rules before acting.
