Owning ONO: Uses, Storage and Risks

Onocoy is a decentralized physical infrastructure network for GNSS reference-station data, used in applications such as agriculture, robotics, drones, surveying and autonomous systems. Its model connects GNSS data users with people who operate network equipment, and the project describes this as a dual-token system.

That describes the network, but it does not establish exactly what ONO itself lets you do. Onocoy has not specified in the project description which actions require ONO, whether holders can vote, or whether ONO is paid to station operators. Don’t assume that holding ONO gives you a share of network revenue or access to a service. Before treating it as a utility token, check the project’s current token documentation for ONO’s role and how it relates to the network’s other token.

ONO is issued on Solana; it is not listed as the native token of a blockchain. To hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports Solana tokens and the specific ONO token address. Confirm that address through Onocoy’s official channels before receiving or sending tokens: similarly named assets can exist, and a transfer to the wrong token address may not be recoverable.

A centralized exchange may also offer ONO, but availability and withdrawal support can change. If you buy there, check that ONO withdrawals are enabled on Solana and review the withdrawal network before confirming. If you withdraw to a self-custody wallet, send a small test amount first when practical. Keep a little SOL in a self-custody wallet for Solana transaction fees; ONO itself does not pay those network fees.

As of November 8, 2026, the reported supply was about 110.2 million ONO in circulation, around 808.2 million total, and a maximum of 810 million. That leaves a substantial difference between circulating and maximum supply, so future releases or distribution can affect the proportion of the supply held by current owners. Check the project’s token schedule and any unlock details before relying on the circulating figure alone.

The same date’s market figures put ONO at about $0.0167, with a market capitalization of roughly $1.8 million and fully diluted valuation of about $13.5 million. These are snapshots, not guaranteed prices or amounts you could sell for. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $2,374, a low figure that can mean a sale is difficult to execute near the displayed price. Prices, volumes and supply figures can change.

For self-custody, choose a wallet you can secure and recover, then store its recovery phrase offline in a private place. Never share the phrase or enter it into a site or message claiming to help with a transfer, reward or account problem. A wallet provider or project support team should not need your recovery phrase.

Before sending ONO, verify the recipient address, token address and Solana network. Be cautious with unexpected token airdrops and links: interacting with a malicious site or signing an unfamiliar transaction can expose assets in your wallet. Keep your device and wallet software up to date, and consider a hardware wallet if you can manage its backup and recovery process safely. A hardware wallet reduces some online risks; it does not protect you if you approve a harmful transaction or lose your recovery phrase.

ONO carries both project and market risks. The network’s value depends on whether GNSS users need its data and whether the reference-station network can attract and retain operators. The project’s broad description does not show how much demand ONO itself creates, so evaluate the token’s specific role rather than assuming that network activity automatically benefits holders.

Market liquidity is another concern: the reported trading volume was about $2,374 as of November 8, 2026, and a thin market can have wide spreads or sharp price moves. The gap between circulating and maximum supply also makes token distribution and future releases important to check. Solana transactions and token contracts can involve technical or security risks; verify the token address and look for independent security information before interacting. You can lose some or all of the amount you put into a volatile token.
