## What does SGB do on Songbird?

Songbird (SGB) is the native token of the Songbird blockchain, a canary network for Flare. Its main role is to support testing of network features and applications before they are used on Flare. SGB is also used for transaction fees on Songbird, and it can be involved in testing governance functions such as voting on proposals.

That makes SGB different from a token whose only purpose is to represent a claim on a company or service: its uses are tied to activity on its own network. If you hold it, check whether you need SGB to pay for transactions or take part in Songbird governance. Don’t assume every feature tested on Songbird will later appear on Flare, or that holding SGB gives you rights in Flare. The token’s purpose is network use and testing; it does not by itself promise a financial return.

## Which network and wallet should you use for SGB?

SGB is native to the Songbird chain. The token is not listed as issued on other chains, so check the destination network carefully whenever you withdraw or transfer it. Sending an asset to an address on an unsupported network can make it difficult or impossible to recover.

Use a wallet that explicitly supports Songbird, and confirm that the wallet is set to the Songbird network before receiving or sending SGB. A wallet that supports another Flare-related asset does not necessarily support Songbird. If you use an exchange, check that both SGB deposits and withdrawals are enabled on the network you intend to use; asset names alone are not enough to confirm compatibility. Before moving a larger amount, consider sending a small test transfer, and verify the receiving address and network on both sides. Keep enough SGB available for network transaction fees when you plan to use the chain.

## How much SGB is in circulation?

Songbird’s circulating supply was about 18.72 billion SGB, and total supply was about 19.60 billion as of November 8, 2026. No maximum supply is listed, so you should not treat the current total as a fixed cap. Supply figures can change, and circulating supply is not the same as the total amount of tokens recorded as issued.

These figures help you understand the scale of the token supply, but they do not tell you what SGB is worth or what it may be worth later. If you compare supply figures over time, check that they use the same definitions and dates. A larger supply does not, by itself, indicate whether a token is cheap or expensive. Also distinguish supply from market liquidity: a token can have a large circulating amount while trading remains limited.

## How can you store SGB, and what can go wrong?

Store SGB in a wallet that supports Songbird, and protect the wallet’s recovery phrase offline. Never share it with someone claiming they need it to fix a transfer or verify your tokens. Check the network and address before signing transactions, and be cautious with unfamiliar applications asking you to connect your wallet or approve access. A hardware wallet can help keep keys offline, but it does not protect you from approving a malicious transaction.

SGB also carries market and network risks. As of November 8, 2026, its price was about $0.000694 and 24-hour trading volume was about $13,000; these figures can change quickly. Limited trading activity can mean wider spreads or greater price impact when you trade. Songbird’s role as a testing network also means features and applications may change, and transactions on a blockchain can be difficult to reverse. Only hold or use an amount you can afford to lose.

Songbird (SGB) is ranked #1,062 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $13.0M and a price of $0.0006940 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($13.6M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 20.8% over 7 days, down 24.8% over 30 days, down 79.0% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $0.7133, set on Sep 29, 2021.

About 18.72B SGB are in circulation, from a total supply of 19.6B. No hard maximum supply is listed.

24-hour trading volume was about $13.3K, or 0.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

Which blockchain is SGB on?

SGB is native to the Songbird chain. Before sending it, confirm that your wallet or exchange supports Songbird and that the receiving service accepts deposits on that network.

What wallet can hold SGB?

Use a wallet that explicitly supports the Songbird network. Check the network setting and receiving address before transferring, since support for another Flare-related asset does not guarantee Songbird support.

What is the supply of SGB?

Circulating supply was about 18.72 billion SGB and total supply was about 19.60 billion as of November 8, 2026. No maximum supply is listed.

What are the risks of holding SGB?

The main risks include losing access to your wallet, sending SGB on the wrong network, approving an unsafe transaction and market volatility. Limited trading volume can also make trades more costly through spreads or price impact.

What is the market cap of Songbird?
