Owning AGLD: Uses, Storage and Risks

AGLD is associated with the Loot ecosystem, where it has been described as a currency and a way to participate. Loot itself consists of randomized adventurer gear generated and stored on-chain; its stats, images and other functions were intentionally left open for others to interpret. That leaves room for community projects, but it does not guarantee a particular game, feature or use for your tokens.

Before treating AGLD as access to a service or a vote, check the rules of the specific Loot project you plan to use. Holding AGLD is not the same as owning a Loot item, and the token alone does not establish rights to an NFT, game or other project. If you cannot identify a live use that matters to you, consider whether you are comfortable holding a token whose value may depend on future ecosystem activity.

AGLD is an Ethereum token using the ERC-20 standard, rather than a coin native to its own blockchain. You need a wallet that supports Ethereum ERC-20 assets. When sending it, select the Ethereum network and make sure the receiving wallet or exchange accepts AGLD on that network. Ethereum transaction fees are paid in ETH, not AGLD.

Wallets such as MetaMask or an Ethereum-compatible hardware wallet can be used for ERC-20 tokens, but check current support before transferring. Confirm the asset and network on both sides; a token with the same ticker on another network may be a different asset or a bridged representation. Do not assume AGLD is available on another chain unless the project and the receiving service confirm it. A mistaken network or address can make a transfer difficult or impossible to recover.

As of November 8, 2026, AGLD has about 92.84 million tokens in circulation and about 92.84 million in total supply. Its stated maximum supply is 96 million. The difference between the total and maximum supply is about 3.16 million tokens; that figure alone does not tell you whether or when more tokens will enter circulation.

Supply limits do not determine what a token is worth or whether it will have buyers when you want to sell. AGLD’s market price and trading activity can change quickly, and its ecosystem uses may change too. Check current supply and market conditions before making a transaction, and avoid treating a maximum supply as a guarantee of scarcity or future demand.

For self-custody, protect the wallet’s recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to offer support. Consider a hardware wallet if you hold an amount that would be costly to lose. Before confirming a transfer, check the network, recipient address and token; a small test transfer can help catch mistakes, though it also costs a network fee.

AGLD carries the usual ERC-20 risks: phishing sites and malicious wallet approvals can expose your assets, and blockchain transfers are generally difficult to reverse. You also face price and liquidity risk: the token can fall in value, and you may not be able to sell quickly at a price you expect. AGLD’s association with Loot does not guarantee that a game or other use will develop or remain available.
