Owning STAC: Uses, Storage and Risks
STAC gives tokenized exposure to a fund focused on AAA-rated CLO tranches. Before holding it, check the fund’s eligibility, redemption, fee and transfer terms, as well as the token’s supported network.

What does holding STAC give you?
STAC represents tokenized shares in a fund holding a diversified portfolio of U.S.-dollar collateralized loan obligations, with a focus on AAA-rated tranches. It is not a company share or a general-purpose cryptocurrency: its stated purpose is to give eligible holders exposure to this credit portfolio through tokens.
CLOs pool loans, typically loans to businesses, and divide the resulting credit risk into tranches. AAA is the highest rating tier and is designed to absorb losses after lower-ranking tranches, but that does not make it risk-free. Borrower defaults, falling loan values, changes in interest rates and stress in credit markets can still affect the fund.
The fund seeks risk-adjusted returns; STAC does not promise a fixed yield or return. The token’s market price should not automatically be read as the fund’s net asset value. Check how the issuer reports performance, distributions and the relationship between each token and a fund share before relying on it.
Which chain and wallet can hold STAC?
STAC is listed as issued on Ethereum. It is not the native token of a blockchain, so you need to distinguish the token from ETH, which is used to pay Ethereum network fees. No other currently supported STAC chain is established here. A reported Solana expansion in 2026 is not, by itself, proof that a Solana STAC token is live or interchangeable with Ethereum STAC.
For self-custody, use an Ethereum-compatible wallet only after confirming the official token contract and that the wallet supports the token’s transfer and compliance features. Do not select a token solely by its ticker: similarly named or counterfeit tokens can appear in wallets and on trading platforms. The fund describes institutional servicing and custody by BNY, but that does not mean BNY holds tokens in your personal wallet or that you can freely move them.
If you hold STAC through a platform, check whether you control the on-chain token or have only a platform-recorded claim. Confirm any transfer restrictions and the recovery process before moving tokens.
How many STAC tokens exist, and what changes supply?
As of November 8, 2026, reported circulating and total supply were both about 100,826 STAC. No maximum supply is published. The reported market capitalization was about $104.8 million, and the token price was about $1,039. These are dated market figures, not a guarantee of redemption value or the amount you would receive by selling.
For a tokenized fund, supply can be affected by shares being issued or cancelled as investors enter or leave the fund, subject to its rules. STAC’s exact issuance and cancellation process, and whether all fund shares are represented on-chain, are not published here. Check the issuer’s current records rather than assuming that a change in token count maps one-for-one to a change in assets or value.
The reported seven-day price change was small as of that date, but short-term trading figures can be thin or unavailable; 24-hour volume was listed as unavailable. A low or missing volume figure can make a quoted price less useful as an indication of how easily you could sell.
How can you obtain and store STAC?
The fund is described as providing access through tokenized shares, but its public purchase channels, eligibility rules, minimum investment and onboarding requirements are not published here. Do not assume that STAC is available to every retail investor or that a token listed on a third-party platform is an authorized fund share. Before obtaining it, verify the issuer, the legal rights attached to the share, and any restrictions on who may hold or transfer it.
If you already hold STAC, keep the official contract address and the issuer’s transfer instructions separately from your wallet. With self-custody, protect your recovery phrase offline and never share it with someone claiming to help with a transfer. With a custodian, review what happens if the platform freezes withdrawals or closes your account.
Also establish how you can exit: token transferability is not the same as a right to redeem shares with the fund. STAC’s redemption terms and any applicable holding or transfer limits should be checked directly before you rely on them.
What does it cost to move or hold STAC?
Moving STAC on Ethereum generally requires a network transaction, and the wallet pays an Ethereum gas fee, usually in ETH. The fee varies with network demand and the transaction type; there is no fixed STAC transfer fee published here. A wallet or intermediary may also charge its own fees, separate from Ethereum gas.
Do not assume a bridge is available or safe just because another chain supports tokenized assets. No official STAC bridge or bridging fee is established here. Bridging can involve a wrapped token or a separate contract, adding risks such as contract failure, incorrect network selection and receiving an asset that is not the fund’s recognized share. Confirm any supported route with the issuer before acting.
Fund-level expenses, management charges, distribution costs and redemption fees can also affect your net outcome, but STAC’s specific fees are not published here. Ask for the current fee schedule and clarify which charges apply to your transaction, custody arrangement and any redemption—not just the blockchain transfer.
What risks should you check before holding STAC?
STAC combines credit-market risk with token and fund risks. AAA-rated CLO tranches have historically had low default rates, as the fund describes, but ratings are opinions rather than guarantees. A severe downturn, concentrated exposures, changes in loan recovery values or problems in CLO valuation can still reduce the fund’s value. The token may also be hard to sell if trading is limited, even when the underlying portfolio has value.
Before relying on STAC, check the fund’s offering documents for eligibility, fees, valuation methods, redemption timing, suspension rights, distributions and the legal claim each token represents. Those terms are not established by the token’s name or rating. Confirm who maintains the share register and what happens if an on-chain transfer conflicts with fund records.
Other practical risks include counterfeit tokens, a compromised wallet, smart-contract or custody failures, and unclear tax treatment. BNY is named for institutional servicing and custody, but that does not eliminate fund, issuer, operational or market risk. Do not treat the AAA label as a promise of principal protection.
What is known about STAC’s history?
STAC is presented as a tokenized fund focused on U.S.-dollar CLOs, particularly AAA-rated tranches. Its launch date and a detailed public history of issuance, distributions or redemptions are not published here, so you should not infer a track record from the token’s price history alone. The reported all-time low was about $997.66 on February 5, 2026, and the reported high was about $1,050.06 on August 19, 2026; those market prices do not establish the fund’s investment return or redemption value.
The token is associated with Ethereum. A Solana expansion was reported as planned in 2026, but verify directly with the issuer whether a supported Solana version is live before sending assets or using a wallet on that network. Tokens on different networks should not be presumed interchangeable.
For an ownership decision, the most useful history is the fund’s own record of portfolio holdings, valuation changes, income and realized losses, alongside the token’s issuance and redemption record. If those are not available to you, treat the product’s performance and liquidity as difficult to assess.

Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund in numbers
Securitize Tokenized AAA CLO Fund (STAC) is ranked #266 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $105M and a price of $1,039 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($105M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 0.1% over 7 days, up 0.4% over 30 days. It trades about 1% below its all-time high of $1,050, set on Aug 19, 2026.
About 100.83K STAC are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
STAC has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

STAC FAQs
What is STAC token?
STAC is described as a tokenized share in a fund holding a diversified portfolio of U.S.-dollar CLOs, focused on AAA-rated tranches. It is not a general-purpose cryptocurrency, and the rating does not guarantee returns or protect principal.
What blockchain is STAC on?
STAC is listed as issued on Ethereum. Confirm the official contract address and any transfer restrictions with the issuer before adding a token to your wallet; do not rely on ticker symbols alone.
How many STAC tokens are there?
