## What can you use RSC for on ResearchHub?
ResearchCoin (RSC) is ResearchHub’s token, used within its platform to support scientific research. You can use it to fund proposals, contribute to open requests for proposals, and take part in peer-review bounty programs. ResearchHub also describes Endowments: funding pools designed so their yield can support research in a chosen field over time.
That gives RSC a platform-specific purpose, but it does not make the token a claim on a research fund or guarantee that any particular project will receive funding. Its usefulness depends on ResearchHub activity and the rules of the platform. ResearchHub has described proposal funding with RSC as carrying a 7% fee, compared with 9% or more for other payment options, in information dated October 2026. Check the current fee before funding anything, since platform charges can change.
If you are considering holding RSC, separate the platform’s research-funding goals from the token’s market risk. Using RSC to participate and holding it in expectation of a price change are different decisions.
## Which networks and wallets can hold RSC?
RSC is issued on Base and Ethereum. It is not listed as the native token of either chain, so you need ETH for Ethereum network transactions or the applicable gas token on Base; holding RSC alone does not pay those network fees.
To store RSC yourself, choose a wallet that supports the chain on which your tokens are held. Check the network and token contract carefully before adding or receiving RSC. Tokens on Base and Ethereum are separate on-chain representations, so selecting the wrong network or sending to an incompatible address can make recovery difficult or impossible. Do not rely on a ticker or token name alone when checking an address; token symbols can be copied.
If you use an exchange, confirm which RSC network it supports for deposits and withdrawals. A wallet’s ability to display an asset does not by itself mean it can safely send that asset on every network. Make a small test transfer first when practical, and check the destination’s network requirements.
## How much RSC is in circulation?
As of November 8, 2026, RSC had about 402 million tokens in circulating supply, about 1 billion in total supply, and a maximum supply of 1 billion. These figures can change as tokens enter circulation, so check current token information before making a decision.
The gap between circulating and total supply matters: the circulating figure is the amount counted as circulating, not the full supply. The maximum is a cap, not a statement that every token is already available to trade. Supply figures also do not tell you how tokens are distributed or when any non-circulating tokens might enter the market.
RSC’s market price can move independently of its role in research funding. For context, its reported price was about $0.04 on November 8, 2026, and its value was down about 87% over the preceding year. That is historical volatility, not a forecast. Avoid treating market capitalization or a low unit price as proof that a token is cheap or likely to recover.
## How can you store RSC, and what could go wrong?
For self-custody, protect the wallet’s recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to offer support. Use a reputable wallet, secure the device that holds it, and verify the network and receiving address before every transfer. If you keep RSC on an exchange, use its account-security features and understand that you depend on the exchange to safeguard and release your assets.
RSC carries ordinary crypto risks as well as risks tied to its use on ResearchHub. Its price can fall sharply, and demand may depend on platform participation and activity. Sending tokens on the wrong network, approving a malicious transaction, losing access to your wallet, or relying on a compromised service can also lead to permanent losses.
Do not assume that a research-funding purpose protects RSC’s market value. Consider how much you could afford to lose, and avoid storing more on a platform or wallet than you can secure. If you interact with a smart contract, read the transaction details and permissions rather than signing a request you do not understand.
By the numbers
ResearchCoin in numbers
ResearchCoin (RSC) is ranked #952 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $15.9M and a price of $0.0395 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $39.5M, so roughly 40% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 7.5% over 7 days, down 25.6% over 30 days, down 87.3% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $1.51, set on Jan 4, 2025.
About 401.95M RSC are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (40% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $179K, or 1.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
RSC has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Base, Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

RSC FAQs
What is ResearchCoin (RSC) used for?
ResearchHub uses RSC for proposal funding and supports activities such as open RFPs and peer-review bounties. It also describes Endowments that direct yield toward research in a chosen field.
Is RSC on Base or Ethereum?
RSC is issued on Base and Ethereum. Check which network your wallet or exchange supports, and confirm the token contract and destination network before transferring.
How do I store RSC safely?
A compatible wallet can hold RSC on the network where the tokens are issued. You will also need the network’s gas token to make transactions, and you should protect your recovery phrase offline.
What is the maximum supply of RSC?
As of November 8, 2026, circulating supply was about 402 million, with total supply around 1 billion and a maximum supply of 1 billion. Supply figures can change over time.
Is ResearchCoin a low-risk way to fund science?
No. Its research-funding use does not guarantee demand or protect its market price. RSC can lose value, and transfers, wallet mistakes or compromised services can result in losses.
What is the market cap of ResearchCoin?
As of Nov 8, 2026, ResearchCoin had a market cap of about $15.9M, ranking #952 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of RSC?
