What does holding REF actually give you?
REF is the token associated with Ref Finance, a decentralised exchange built on NEAR. Ref Finance offers token swaps and liquidity pools, but holding REF does not by itself mean you have a share of the exchange or a guaranteed right to fees. The project description does not establish specific rights for REF holders, such as voting, staking rewards or a claim on revenue. Treat those benefits as unconfirmed unless the project clearly sets out current terms.
Ref Finance is also linked to RHEA Finance, which describes itself as formed from a merger of Ref Finance and Burrow Finance. That makes it important to check which service and token terms apply before you use REF. In particular, do not assume that REF is required for ordinary swaps, that providing liquidity earns REF, or that an older token has been exchanged for a new one. Those are separate questions from the exchange’s general functions.
Which chain and wallet support REF?
REF is issued on NEAR. The project description also mentions the Rainbow Bridge, which connects Ethereum-based assets with NEAR, but that does not establish that REF itself is available as an official Ethereum token. Check the network and token contract shown by the service you use before depositing or sending it; a token with the same ticker on another chain may not be the same asset.
To hold REF, you need a wallet that supports NEAR accounts and NEAR tokens. The wallet must let you control the account or clearly explain who controls it for you. If you use an exchange or another custodial service, you may not control the keys, and withdrawals can be restricted. For self-custody, protect your recovery phrase offline and verify the recipient account and network before confirming a transfer. A mistaken address or unsupported network can make tokens difficult or impossible to recover.
How much REF exists, and how liquid is it?
REF has a reported total supply of 100 million tokens, with about 96 million circulating. No separate maximum supply is listed. The figures do not explain whether any tokens remain locked, who controls them, or whether future changes to the supply are possible; check current project disclosures for those details.
As of 2026-11-08, REF was around $0.0676, with a market capitalisation of about $6.5 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was only about $13, a very low figure that can mean it is difficult to trade at a quoted price or exit a position without affecting the price. These are a dated snapshot, not a dependable price for a later transaction. Supply, trading activity and market value can change, and a low market capitalisation does not indicate how easily you can sell or transfer your tokens.
How can you get and store REF?
People generally obtain a token like REF through a service that supports NEAR assets, such as a compatible exchange or decentralised exchange. Availability, trading pairs and withdrawal access can vary by location and platform. Before sending funds, confirm that the service supports REF on NEAR, check its deposit and withdrawal rules, and verify the exact token rather than relying on the ticker alone.
You can keep REF in a custodial account or in a NEAR-compatible self-custody wallet. Custody is a trade-off: a service may handle key management, while self-custody gives you more direct control but makes you responsible for safeguarding the recovery phrase and authorising transactions. Do not share that phrase with anyone. Since Ref Finance is linked to RHEA Finance, check whether the app or service is referring to REF, a replacement token or a migration process. No conversion terms should be assumed without a clear current announcement.
What can a REF transfer or bridge cost?
A REF transfer on NEAR requires a network transaction, and NEAR network fees are generally paid in NEAR rather than REF. The fee can vary with network conditions and the action you take. Ref Finance does not publish a fixed transfer fee in the project description, so check the wallet’s transaction preview before confirming. Keep enough NEAR in the account to cover the transaction.
Moving assets between Ethereum and NEAR through the Rainbow Bridge is a separate operation from a simple NEAR transfer. It can involve transactions on both networks, so you may need to account for fees on each side; Ethereum gas costs can vary substantially. Any bridge or service charges, waiting periods and supported assets should be checked before starting. Do not assume that bridging an asset automatically creates an official version of REF on the destination chain, or that a transfer can be reversed if you choose the wrong network.
What could go wrong with REF?
REF carries market and liquidity risk. Its reported trading volume was about $13 as of 2026-11-08, so displayed prices may not reflect the price available for a larger trade. You could face a wide spread, price slippage or difficulty finding a buyer. The token’s value can also change sharply, and the project’s exchange activity does not guarantee demand for REF.
There are additional risks if you use the wider DeFi system. Smart-contract faults, wallet mistakes, bridge failures or compromised accounts can lead to losses. Providing liquidity is different from simply holding REF: pool prices can move relative to each other, leaving you with less value than if you had held the tokens separately. Finally, the Ref Finance–RHEA Finance connection creates a practical uncertainty: check which token is supported and whether any migration applies before approving a transaction. Do not rely on a token ticker or an old app screen alone.
What is REF’s history, and what changed with RHEA?
Ref Finance is described as a NEAR-based exchange for swaps and liquidity, with the Rainbow Bridge providing a route for Ethereum-based assets to move between Ethereum and NEAR. A launch date is not established in the project description. REF’s reported all-time high was $10.64 on 2021-10-25; its reported all-time low was $0.029869 on 2026-02-05. Those past extremes show how widely its quoted price has varied, but they do not indicate what it will do next.
RHEA Finance describes itself as formed through a merger of Ref Finance and Burrow Finance. That history matters if you hold an older REF balance or use a Ref-branded interface: confirm whether REF remains supported, whether any migration is required, and what happens to balances before signing transactions. The terms for a REF conversion or migration are not established here, so do not infer that a swap or exchange is automatic.
By the numbers
Ref Finance in numbers
Ref Finance (REF) is ranked #1,503 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $6.49M and a price of $0.0676 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($6.76M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 13.4% over 7 days, down 24.1% over 30 days, down 39.4% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $10.64, set on Oct 25, 2021.
About 96M REF are in circulation, from a total supply of 100M. No hard maximum supply is listed.
24-hour trading volume was about $13, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
REF has token contracts on Near. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

REF FAQs
What network is REF on?
REF is issued on NEAR. A wallet or service must support NEAR tokens and the correct REF asset; do not assume a token with the same ticker on another chain is equivalent.
Does holding REF earn rewards or give voting rights?
The project description does not establish specific holder rights such as voting, staking rewards or a claim on exchange fees. Check current project terms before treating any of those as a benefit of holding REF.
What fee do you pay to send REF?
A NEAR transfer requires a network fee, generally paid in NEAR. The amount can vary, so review the wallet’s transaction preview and keep NEAR available to cover it.
Is REF being replaced by RHEA?
RHEA Finance describes itself as formed from a merger of Ref Finance and Burrow Finance. Check current support and any migration terms before moving REF; do not assume a conversion is automatic.
How many REF tokens are there?
About 96 million of a reported 100 million REF total supply was circulating. As of 2026-11-08, reported 24-hour trading volume was about $13, so liquidity may be limited and prices can move sharply.
What is the market cap of Ref Finance?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Ref Finance had a market cap of about $6.49M, ranking #1,503 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of REF?
Ref Finance's all-time high is $10.64, reached on Oct 25, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.0299 (Feb 5, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of REF?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 96M REF were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
Which blockchains is REF on?
It has token contracts on Near.
