What does holding Parallel (PAR) mean?

Parallel (PAR) is a euro-pegged stablecoin issued by Mimo Protocol, not the similarly named Parallel Finance token PARA. Mimo describes PAR as a decentralized, non-custodial synthetic asset backed by more collateral than the value of the PAR issued. The protocol is governed by vMIMO holders.

You may use PAR to hold or transfer euro-denominated value across supported networks, but its intended euro peg does not make it a bank deposit or guarantee that you can exchange it for euros through a bank. The protocol describes PAR as redeemable, but check the current redemption process and conditions before relying on that feature. PAR’s dollar price can differ from the euro’s dollar value as exchange rates change, and the token can also trade away from its intended peg.

Which networks and wallets can you use for PAR?

PAR is issued on Ethereum, Polygon and Fantom. It is not listed as the native token of any of these networks, so choose the network as well as the token when you receive or send it. An EVM-compatible wallet that supports the relevant network may work; check that your wallet supports both the network and the specific PAR token before transferring. Wallets such as MetaMask and Rabby support EVM networks, but you still need the correct network and token details.

Confirm the token’s official contract address through a trusted project channel before adding it. A token with the same ticker is not proof that it is genuine. Sending PAR to an address on the wrong network, or using a bridge or exchange that does not support that network, can make funds difficult or impossible to recover. Network transaction fees are paid separately in the network’s gas token, and can vary with network activity.

How much PAR exists, and how firm is its euro peg?

The reported circulating and total supply are both about 2.24 million PAR; no maximum supply is listed. As of 2026-11-08, PAR was quoted at about $1.18, with a reported market capitalization of about $2.6 million. Its reported 24-hour trading volume was about $18 on that date, a very small figure that can mean it is hard to trade at the price you expect. These figures change and should not be treated as current beyond their date.

PAR is designed to track the euro, not the US dollar. A dollar quote therefore reflects both PAR’s market price and the euro-dollar exchange rate. Even so, the intended peg can weaken, and a displayed market price does not guarantee that you can sell or redeem your PAR at that value. Check the live price, available trading depth and redemption terms before relying on a quoted amount.

How can you store and transfer PAR more safely?

If you keep PAR in a self-custody wallet, protect the recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to offer support. Consider a hardware wallet if you can manage its backup safely. Before you approve a transaction, check the token, network, recipient address and any permissions the wallet is requesting. A wrong-network transfer or a malicious approval can expose funds, and blockchain transactions are generally difficult to reverse.

If you hold PAR through an exchange or another custodian, check its supported networks, withdrawal rules and custody arrangements. You may not control the private keys, and the service could suspend withdrawals. Keep a small test transfer as an option when sending to a new address or service, especially if you are unfamiliar with the network. Never rely on a wallet’s token display alone to confirm that a deposit arrived on the correct chain.

What risks should you check before holding PAR?

PAR has several risks beyond ordinary wallet mistakes. Its euro peg depends on the Mimo Protocol’s collateral, redemption mechanisms and continued operation; overcollateralization is a design feature, not a guarantee against losses. Smart-contract bugs, governance decisions by vMIMO holders or problems on Ethereum, Polygon or Fantom could affect access or value. If you create a collateralized debt position yourself, liquidation rules may also matter; that is separate from simply holding PAR.

Liquidity is another concern. Reported trading volume was about $18 as of 2026-11-08, so a small trade may face limited buyers or a price far from the displayed quote. Check the specific market’s depth and the protocol’s current redemption conditions rather than assuming you can exit instantly. Do not confuse PAR with PARA or PAR2: a similar name or ticker does not establish that a token is the Mimo-issued euro stablecoin.

By the numbers

Parallel in numbers

Parallel (PAR) is ranked #2,128 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $2.64M and a price of $1.18 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($2.64M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 3.1% over 7 days, down 1.3% over 30 days, down 2.7% over the past year. It trades about 86% below its all-time high of $8.68, set on Mar 28, 2026.

About 2.24M PAR are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $18, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

PAR has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Fantom, Polygon. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
