Owning OPN: Uses, Storage and Risks

OPN is Opinion’s utility token. The project describes it as a way to access platform services, participate in governance and capture value within the Opinion ecosystem. Opinion runs prediction markets covering areas such as sports, esports and current affairs, but that does not mean every market feature requires OPN or that holding the token gives you a guaranteed benefit.

Before using OPN on the platform, check the current rules for any token-related features: what you need to hold or stake, whether there are fees, and whether participation is available where you live. The project does not publish a full breakdown of the costs in the facts here, so confirm the terms in the product before committing funds. Treat governance rights as a chance to participate in decisions, not as control over the platform or a promise that a proposal will pass.

OPN is issued on both BNB Chain and Ethereum; it is not listed as the native token of either network. If you store it yourself, use a wallet that supports the network you choose and the OPN token on that network. A token sent on the wrong chain may not appear in your wallet or may be difficult to recover.

Before depositing or withdrawing, check the exact network and token contract through Opinion’s official channels and compare them with the details shown by your exchange or wallet. Do not rely on the ticker alone: other assets can use the same symbol. Keep a small amount of the relevant network’s native coin available if you need to pay blockchain transaction fees. Those network fees are separate from any Opinion platform charges, which you should check before trading or using a service.

OPN has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. Circulating supply was about 182.7 million as of 2026-11-08, so the circulating amount was substantially below the stated total. That difference can matter to holders if more tokens enter circulation, but it does not by itself show when releases will happen or how they will affect the market.

As of 2026-11-08, OPN’s market capitalisation was about $7.0 million and its fully diluted valuation about $38.3 million. These figures can move quickly and are not a measure of what the token should be worth. Before relying on supply figures, check the project’s current token-release information and whether any tokens are subject to unlocks. Avoid treating past prices or market activity as a forecast.

If you hold OPN in a self-custody wallet, protect the recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to offer support. Check the network and destination address before each transfer, and consider a small test transfer when sending a large amount. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to online account compromise, but it cannot prevent mistakes such as using the wrong network or approving a harmful transaction.

OPN’s risks go beyond wallet security. Its price can change sharply, and a smaller circulating supply than total supply leaves potential dilution to assess. Using prediction markets also carries the risk of losing the amount you put at stake, along with possible disputes about market wording or resolution. Check Opinion’s fees, resolution rules and withdrawal access before trading.
