What do you get by holding METAON?
METAON is an Ondo token designed to provide economic exposure similar to holding Meta Platforms (META), with dividends reinvested. It is a tokenized asset, not Meta’s own cryptocurrency. Holding METAON should not be treated as the same as owning Meta shares: the token’s stated purpose is economic exposure, and you should not assume it gives you shareholder voting rights or other rights attached to company shares.
Ondo describes its tokenized stocks as available for minting and redemption 24 hours a day, five days a week, with access to traditional exchange liquidity. That does not mean every holder can mint or redeem whenever they choose. Additional restrictions apply, and availability can depend on your location and eligibility. Check Ondo’s current terms and the redemption process before relying on a sale or redemption to access cash. METAON’s value can move with Meta shares, but trading conditions for the token may differ from those of the underlying stock.
Which networks and wallets can hold METAON?
METAON is issued on Ethereum, Hyperliquid L1, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Solana. It is not the native token of any of those networks. If you hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports the specific network where your tokens are held, and make sure the wallet can display and send that asset. A token on one network is not automatically usable on another.
Before sending METAON, confirm the destination network and token details with the recipient or platform. A wrong-network transfer can be difficult or impossible to recover. Be especially careful with search results and unsolicited messages offering token contracts: verify the contract address through Ondo’s official channels rather than trusting a ticker or logo, since other tokens can use the same name or symbol. If you hold METAON through a third-party platform, check its withdrawal and custody terms; the platform, rather than your personal wallet, may control the private keys.
How many METAON tokens exist?
The reported circulating and total supply was about 13,629 METAON as of November 8, 2026. No maximum supply is listed. These figures can change as tokens are created, redeemed or otherwise moved, so treat them as a dated snapshot rather than a permanent limit.
A token’s supply is only one part of the picture. It does not tell you how easily you can sell, whether redemption is available to you, or whether the token will track Meta shares closely at every moment. The reported price was about $612 per METAON on November 8, 2026; the token can trade differently from the underlying stock, particularly when their trading hours or liquidity differ. Do not use a past price or supply figure as a forecast. If you are comparing an exchange quote with the value of META shares, check the timestamp, trading venue and applicable fees or spreads before making a decision.
How can you store METAON more safely?
If you keep METAON in a self-custody wallet, protect the recovery phrase offline and never share it with someone claiming they need it to release or verify your tokens. Use a strong, unique wallet password and enable available device security. For a hardware wallet, make sure it supports the relevant network and token, and store its recovery phrase separately from the device.
Check the network carefully before approving a transfer or signing a transaction. Read wallet prompts rather than approving requests you do not understand; a malicious approval can give another party permission to move tokens. Keep a small test transfer in mind when sending to a new address, while accounting for network fees. If a platform holds METAON for you, use its account-security features and understand how withdrawals work. Custody through a platform can be convenient, but it means you depend on that provider to safeguard and release your assets.
What can go wrong when you hold METAON?
METAON combines risks from a crypto token with risks from an asset linked to a public company. Its price can fall if Meta shares decline, and the token may also trade at a premium or discount to the underlying exposure. Liquidity can be thinner than in the stock market, and token trading hours, network congestion or platform outages can affect how quickly you can act.
You also depend on Ondo’s arrangements and the services used to issue, hold, transfer or redeem the token. Smart-contract faults, network failures, custody problems, changing eligibility rules or limits on redemption could disrupt access or result in losses. The token does not remove the risks of investing in Meta, and economic exposure is not the same as direct share ownership. Check the current terms, fees, eligible jurisdictions and redemption conditions before committing funds, and only use money you can afford to lose.
