Owning SN25: Uses, Storage and Risks

UR is a decentralised peer-to-peer privacy network built on Bittensor Subnet 25; SN25 is the subnet’s token. The network routes encrypted internet traffic through connections provided by independent participants. URnetwork VPN is its first product.

The project says traffic is encrypted end to end and routing is distributed so that no single node sees both a user’s identity and their online activity. That describes the network’s intended design, not a guarantee that every use is anonymous or risk-free. Your device, VPN provider, websites you visit and network settings can still affect your privacy.

SN25 is distributed through Bittensor’s subnet emission mechanism, and onchain incentives coordinate the network. The project does not publish a holder yield or say that simply owning SN25 gives you VPN access. Treat the token and the VPN service as related but distinct: check the service’s terms and token functions before assuming one grants benefits from the other.
