What can you use WAXP for?
WAXP is the native token of the WAX blockchain, a network built around digital commerce, gaming assets and NFTs. You may encounter it when using applications on WAX, trading digital collectibles, staking tokens or taking part in network governance. WAX uses delegated proof of stake: token holders can stake WAXP and vote for guilds, which participate in producing blocks. The project also describes customer transactions as fee-less, but that does not mean every app, marketplace or service must be free; check the costs shown by the specific service before confirming an action.
WAX also provides tools for applications, including the WAX Cloud Wallet and services for developers. Those tools do not make every game or NFT project on the network equally safe or reliable. Before connecting a wallet, check which app you are using, what permissions it requests and whether the asset you want is actually supported.
Which WAXP chain and wallet should you use?
WAXP is native to the WAX blockchain and is also issued on Ethereum. These are distinct network versions of the token: a WAXP balance on WAX is not automatically an Ethereum balance. When receiving or withdrawing tokens, confirm that the sending service and your wallet support the same network. Sending assets to an address on the wrong chain can make them difficult or impossible to recover.
The WAX Cloud Wallet is part of the WAX ecosystem. For any wallet, check whether it supports native WAXP, Ethereum-based WAXP, or both, and confirm the network shown before you deposit. If you use a bridge or exchange to move between networks, check its current supported routes, fees and withdrawal rules first. Bridging introduces additional risks because you rely on the bridge’s software and operation as well as the destination chain. Do not assume a token with the same ticker is interchangeable across networks.
How much WAXP exists, and can supply grow?
WAX’s reported circulating and total supply are both about 4.70 billion WAXP as of November 8, 2026. A maximum supply is not published in the token figures here, so you should not treat the current total as a confirmed hard cap. Supply can change over time, and staking or governance rewards may affect how tokens are distributed.
A large or small supply figure does not tell you what one WAXP should be worth. The token’s market price can move sharply, and its value depends on demand, trading conditions and confidence in the network and its applications. As of November 8, 2026, WAXP was about $0.0038, but that is a dated snapshot, not a guide to what you might receive later. If you are deciding whether to hold it, consider how much of your portfolio you can afford to lose rather than relying on a past price or supply figure.
How can you store WAXP and limit the main risks?
Treat WAXP like any crypto asset: use a wallet you control if you understand how to protect its recovery phrase, and keep that phrase offline and private. Never share it with a game, support agent or website. Use a separate wallet for unfamiliar apps, check transaction details before signing, and keep only the amount you need in a wallet connected to services. If an exchange holds your tokens, you also depend on its custody and withdrawal procedures.
WAXP carries market risk as well as wallet and application risk. Its price can fall substantially, and an NFT or game asset may be hard to sell even if it is recorded on a blockchain. Staking and voting involve committing tokens and relying on the network’s governance process; check the terms and any lock-up or withdrawal conditions before participating. WAX’s delegated proof-of-stake design also means block production and governance depend on selected guilds. A bridge adds another possible failure point, so avoid moving more than you can afford to lose.

WAX (WAXP) is ranked #880 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $18.0M and a price of $0.003837 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($18.0M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 12.0% over 7 days, down 32.6% over 30 days, down 68.3% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $2.77, set on Jan 8, 2018.
About 4.7B WAXP are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $448K, or 2.5% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
WAXP is the native token of Wax; it also has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

WAXP FAQs
Is WAXP an Ethereum token or a WAX token?
WAXP is native to the WAX blockchain and is also issued on Ethereum. The versions use different networks, so check the chain supported by your wallet and the sender before transferring.
What is WAXP used for?
WAXP is used for staking and governance on WAX, and it may be used within applications and markets on the network. Check the terms of the particular app or marketplace, since its costs and requirements can differ.
What wallet can hold WAXP?
The WAX Cloud Wallet is one wallet option in the WAX ecosystem. Before using any wallet, confirm that it supports the WAX network and the specific WAXP version you hold; keep your recovery phrase private and offline.
What is the total supply of WAXP?
The reported circulating and total supply are each about 4.70 billion WAXP as of November 8, 2026. A maximum supply is not published in those figures, so the current total should not be treated as a confirmed cap.
Are WAXP transactions free?
WAX describes customer transactions as fee-less, but individual applications and services may have their own costs or requirements. Check the amount and network details shown before you approve a transaction.
