What does holding VON give you?
VON is Ondo’s tokenized version of Visa (V): it is intended to give you economic exposure similar to holding Visa shares, including reinvestment of dividends. It is not the same thing as buying Visa stock directly. Holding VON does not, by itself, establish that you are a registered Visa shareholder or give you shareholder voting rights. The exact legal rights and the process for claiming them depend on Ondo’s product terms.
Ondo describes its tokenized stocks as available to eligible non-US retail and institutional users, with additional restrictions. Check whether you are eligible where you live and read the current terms before acquiring VON. Tokenization can make an asset transferable on a blockchain, but it does not remove the risks tied to the underlying company or the product issuer. Visa’s business and share price can affect VON’s value, while VON may also trade at a different price from the shares it represents.
Which chains and wallets can hold VON?
VON is issued on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain; it is not the native coin of any of them. You need a wallet that supports the specific network and the correct VON token on that network. A matching ticker is not enough to confirm that a token is genuine, so check the token’s official contract or mint details through Ondo’s own channels before receiving or sending it.
Keep the network consistent between the sending and receiving wallets. Sending tokens to an address on an unsupported chain can make them difficult or impossible to recover. You also need the chain’s native asset to pay transaction fees: typically ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, or BNB on BNB Chain. A wallet’s ability to display a balance does not guarantee it supports VON’s product features, redemption, or transfers. Confirm those details with the wallet and Ondo before moving a significant amount.
How much VON exists, and can you sell it?
As of November 8, 2026, the reported circulating and total supply were both about 5,455 VON. No maximum supply was listed. That figure can change, so check current token data before relying on it. Supply alone does not tell you how easy it is to sell or redeem your tokens.
Liquidity deserves particular attention. On that same date, reported 24-hour trading volume was about $5, a very small amount. A displayed price or market value does not mean you can sell your full holding at that level. Thin trading can lead to wide spreads, price swings, or an order that only partly fills. Ondo describes minting and redemption for eligible users, but access is subject to restrictions; do not assume you can redeem instantly, from your location, or in any amount. Check the current eligibility, minimums, processing arrangements and costs directly in Ondo’s product terms before you rely on redemption.
How should you store VON, and what can go wrong?
Treat VON as both a crypto token and an exposure to a tokenized stock product. Use a wallet you control if you understand self-custody, keep your recovery phrase offline, and never share it with anyone claiming to help. A hardware wallet can reduce the risk of online key theft, but it cannot protect you from sending VON to the wrong address or using a fake token contract. Test a small transfer first if you are unsure about the network or address.
There are several distinct risks: Visa’s share price can fall; VON may have limited trading liquidity; and the token’s value and transferability depend on the issuer, product arrangements, and the relevant blockchain. Smart-contract, wallet, exchange and operational failures can also cause losses or prevent access. VON is not a bank deposit, and blockchain transfers are generally difficult to reverse. Before holding it, understand what rights the product terms give you and what happens if minting, redemption or transfers are paused.
