Owning MetYa (MY): Uses, Storage and Risks

MetYa (MY) is the token associated with Metya, a dating and social platform that describes itself as “DatingFi” and uses AI for matching and translation. The project says users can earn rewards through social interactions, but it does not publish a complete explanation of which actions earn MY, how rewards are calculated, or whether rewards can change.

Metya also describes MY as an asset for payment conversion and settlement connected with its Metya Card. Before treating the token as a way to pay for services, check the current card terms: availability, supported locations, conversion costs, and any MY requirement can affect whether this use is practical for you.

In short, MY is tied to Metya’s app and related services rather than being a general-purpose payment token by design. Its usefulness depends on the platform’s continued operation and on the specific MY features you can access. Don’t assume that holding MY alone gives you dating-app benefits, card access, or a guaranteed stream of rewards.

MY is issued on BNB Chain; the token facts do not identify it as the native token of a blockchain. If you hold it in a self-custody wallet, choose one that supports BNB Chain tokens and make sure the wallet is set to the correct network before receiving or sending MY. A transfer sent on an unsupported network may be difficult or impossible to recover.

The contract address is essential for identifying the right asset, especially because similarly named tokens and tickers can exist. Confirm MY’s official contract address through Metya’s own trusted channels before adding the token or making a transfer. Do not rely on the ticker alone, a search result, or a message from someone offering to help.

Those are time-specific figures, not a current quote. The reported price was also far below its all-time high of about $0.483 on January 15, 2025; past prices do not indicate what MY will do next.

Check live market data and the token’s liquidity before placing an order. Thin trading can make it harder to buy or sell at the price you expect, and a market-cap figure is not the same as cash available to sell all circulating tokens.

If you keep MY in a self-custody wallet, protect the recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to represent Metya.
