## What is LVUSD meant to do?
LVUSD is presented as the stablecoin and settlement asset for LeverUp, a perpetuals trading protocol on Monad. LeverUp describes its exchange as “LP-free” and says traders can use leverage of up to 1001x across crypto assets and real-world assets. Those are protocol claims, not guarantees that every market or trading feature is available to you.
The project also says it returns all protocol fees to traders. That does not, by itself, mean LVUSD holders receive fees or have a right to redeem tokens for dollars. Check the actual terms before treating LVUSD as cash, collateral or a claim on protocol revenue. If you only want to hold a dollar-linked token, consider whether you need exposure to LeverUp’s trading system at all; using a token for settlement is different from holding a bank deposit or a dollar you can withdraw on demand.
## Which network and wallet do you need?
LVUSD is listed on Monad, and the project describes it as LeverUp’s native settlement stablecoin. It is not identified as the native token of a blockchain. To receive or send it, use a wallet that supports Monad and make sure the asset and network match on both sides of a transfer. Sending tokens through an unsupported network or to an incompatible address can result in loss.
Before depositing, confirm the official LVUSD asset entry and contract address through LeverUp’s own channels. Token names and symbols can be copied, so a wallet display reading “LVUSD” is not proof that you have the intended asset. Test with a small transfer if you are unsure, and check that the destination exchange or wallet accepts LVUSD on Monad. Wallet support, exchange listings and the availability of a route to convert LVUSD to another asset can change; do not assume that a wallet’s ability to display a token means you can easily sell or redeem it.
## How much LVUSD exists, and does it stay at $1?
LVUSD’s stated circulating and total supply are both about 1.42 million tokens; no maximum supply is listed. As of November 8, 2026, its reported price was about $0.99, with a market capitalization of roughly $1.4 million and 24-hour trading volume of about $3,600. These are time-sensitive market figures, not a promise that each token can be exchanged for one US dollar.
A stablecoin can trade below its intended value if buyers, sellers or redemption routes are limited. LVUSD’s price near $0.99 on that date shows that its market price was not exactly $1. The figures also indicate limited trading activity at that snapshot, which can make it harder to exit at a desired price. Check the current price, trading depth and available conversion route before relying on LVUSD for a payment or a short-term cash need. Do not treat market capitalization as money held in reserve.
## How can you store LVUSD, and what could go wrong?
Keep LVUSD in a wallet that supports Monad, and protect the wallet’s recovery phrase offline. Never share that phrase or sign a transaction you do not understand. For larger balances, consider a hardware wallet if it supports the network and token; confirm that you can recover access before moving funds. A wallet protects access credentials, not the token’s value or the protocol behind it.
The main risks are a loss of the dollar peg, thin trading or limited exit options, smart-contract or chain problems, and mistakes when selecting a network or token contract. LVUSD is also tied to a leveraged trading ecosystem: LeverUp advertises leverage as high as 1001x, where small market moves can cause rapid losses for traders. That figure is not a recommended setting, and holding LVUSD does not remove the risks of using it as trading collateral. Before connecting a wallet or depositing, check the contract, redemption and withdrawal terms, and any independent security review you can verify. Only keep an amount you can afford to lose.
