HYPER: What Holding Hyperlane Means
HYPER is the token associated with Hyperlane’s cross-chain messaging framework. Before holding or transferring it, check its current use, supported network and the risks of the route you plan to use.

What can you use HYPER for?
Hyperlane is an open, permissionless framework for sending messages between blockchains. Its infrastructure can support cross-chain applications such as bridges, governance tools and DeFi services. HYPER is the associated protocol token; descriptions of its role include staking, validator incentives and governance. Check Hyperlane’s current documentation before relying on a particular token function, since the exact rules and availability can change.
Holding HYPER is not the same as holding the assets you might move through a bridge. Nor does owning the token guarantee a share of protocol revenue or a right to vote on every decision. If you are considering HYPER for a specific use, first confirm that the relevant feature is live, which network it uses and what actions or lock-ups it requires. For a cross-chain transfer, check the route and destination asset separately from the token’s own purpose.
Which networks can you hold HYPER on?
HYPER has been issued on Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum and Optimism. These are networks where token versions may be available; they are not a promise that every wallet or exchange supports every version. Hyperlane itself is described as connecting more than 170 blockchains, but that broader reach does not mean HYPER is issued on all of them.
Before receiving or sending HYPER, verify the network and token contract against Hyperlane’s official documentation and the wallet or exchange you plan to use. A deposit sent on an unsupported network may not arrive or may be difficult to recover. If you use a self-custody wallet, add or select the correct network and make sure you can see the token balance before sending a larger amount. Never choose a token solely by its name or ticker: unrelated assets can use the same symbol.
How much HYPER is in circulation?
As of 2026-11-08, about 338.2 million HYPER were circulating, against a reported total supply of about 811.3 million and a maximum supply of 1 billion. The circulating amount is roughly one-third of the stated maximum. The difference between circulating and total supply matters: tokens not currently circulating may enter circulation later, depending on the project’s release arrangements.
At the same date, HYPER’s market capitalisation was about $18.9 million and its fully diluted valuation was about $45.3 million. These figures move with the token price and supply, so treat them as a dated snapshot, not a current quote. Before holding, look for the project’s token allocation and release schedule so you can understand who controls non-circulating tokens and when they may become available. Don’t assume the maximum supply tells you when new tokens will enter circulation.
How should you store HYPER safely?
For long-term storage, consider a self-custody wallet that supports the specific network holding your HYPER. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, while a reputable software wallet may be more convenient for regular use. Either way, protect your recovery phrase offline, never share it, and beware of anyone asking you to reveal it to “verify” or unlock tokens.
Before transferring HYPER, check the destination address, network and token contract. If you are moving a meaningful amount, a small test transfer can help catch a network or address mistake. Keep some of the network’s native gas token available for transaction fees; HYPER may not pay those fees. If you leave tokens with an exchange, check its supported networks and withdrawal terms, and understand that the exchange controls the keys while the tokens are held there.
What could go wrong when you hold or move HYPER?
HYPER carries the risks of a volatile crypto asset: its price can fall sharply, and a quoted market value does not guarantee that you can sell at that price. As of 2026-11-08, its market capitalisation was about $18.9 million, so liquidity and trading conditions are worth checking before you make a transaction. Supply releases can also affect the amount of HYPER available over time.
Cross-chain activity adds separate technical risks. A bridge route can depend on smart contracts, validators and network-specific security settings; a failure or exploit may put transferred assets at risk. Check which route and destination token you are using, and don’t assume all bridges offer the same safeguards. Transfers can also be hard to reverse if you select the wrong chain or address. Only use funds you can afford to lose, and avoid treating token utility or the size of Hyperlane’s network as a guarantee of HYPER’s future value.
By the numbers
Hyperlane in numbers
Hyperlane (HYPER) is ranked #858 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $18.9M and a price of $0.0558 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $45.3M, so roughly 42% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 7.7% over 7 days, down 20.3% over 30 days, down 68.8% over the past year. It trades about 92% below its all-time high of $0.6641, set on Jul 10, 2025.
About 338.17M HYPER are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (34% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.21M, or 6.4% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
HYPER has token contracts on 5 chains we track, including Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
HYPER is linked to Hyperlane, which we cover in our Cross Chain Bridge rankings. See our Hyperlane page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

HYPER FAQs
What is HYPER used for?
HYPER is associated with Hyperlane, a framework for sending messages between blockchains and supporting cross-chain applications. Token roles described for HYPER include staking, validator incentives and governance; confirm which functions are currently live before relying on them.
Which networks support HYPER?
HYPER has been issued on Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum and Optimism. Check that your wallet or exchange supports the exact network and token version before sending it.
What is the maximum supply of HYPER?
As of 2026-11-08, about 338.2 million HYPER were circulating, with a total supply of about 811.3 million and a maximum supply of 1 billion. Supply and valuation figures can change, so treat these as dated numbers.
How do you store HYPER safely?
Use a wallet that supports HYPER on its specific network, and keep your recovery phrase private and offline. Verify the address, network and token contract before sending; a transaction on the wrong chain may be difficult to recover.
Is it risky to bridge assets using Hyperlane?
Yes. Cross-chain routes can rely on smart contracts, validators and network settings, and a security failure could put transferred assets at risk. Check the route and destination asset before sending, and remember that transactions are generally difficult to reverse.
What is the market cap of Hyperlane?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Hyperlane had a market cap of about $18.9M, ranking #858 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of HYPER?
Hyperlane's all-time high is $0.6641, reached on Jul 10, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.0550 (Jul 31, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of HYPER?
