What can you use TRUNK for?
What can you use TRUNK for?
TRUNK is Elephant Money’s cross-chain utility token. The project describes it as collateral for use in DeFi, including borrowing USDC after bridging TRUNK to Solana. That is a protocol use case, not a promise of yield or a guarantee that you can borrow a particular amount. Borrowing can expose you to interest, collateral requirements and liquidation if your position no longer meets the protocol’s rules.
Elephant Money also describes Trumpet, or EMT, as a separate product backed by TRUNK deposited with it. The project says EMT’s value grows linearly and is fully backed by those deposits; those statements are not a guarantee of redemption value or future performance. A 5% fee is described for minting and redeeming EMT. That fee applies to those actions, not necessarily to ordinary TRUNK transfers. Check the current terms and transaction details before using either product.
Which chains and wallets can hold TRUNK?
Which chains and wallets can hold TRUNK?
TRUNK is issued on BNB Chain and Solana; it is not listed as the native token of either chain. You need a wallet that supports the relevant network. An EVM-compatible wallet can hold assets on BNB Chain, while a Solana-compatible wallet is needed for Solana. A token shown on one network may not be interchangeable with a version on another without a supported bridge.
Before sending or receiving TRUNK, confirm the network and the token’s official contract or mint address through Elephant Money’s own channels. The ticker alone is not enough to identify a genuine token, and a transfer sent on the wrong network can be difficult or impossible to recover. If you bridge, check which asset you will receive, the fees and the destination address before confirming. Keep your recovery phrase offline, never share it, and test a new address with a small transfer if appropriate.
How much TRUNK is in circulation?
How much TRUNK is in circulation?
As of 2026-11-08, reported circulating and total supply were both about 124.8 million TRUNK. A maximum supply is also listed at roughly 124.8 million, though the displayed maximum is slightly below the total figure. Treat these as reported figures rather than a guarantee that no supply changes or discrepancies can occur; check current on-chain data before making a decision.
On the same date, TRUNK traded at about $0.033, with a market capitalization near $4.2 million and 24-hour trading volume around $2,300. These figures can change quickly, and low trading volume can make it harder to trade at a quoted price, especially for larger orders. Market capitalization is not cash available to holders and does not tell you how much you could sell for. Avoid relying on a price snapshot when assessing what a holding is worth.
How can you store TRUNK more safely?
How can you store TRUNK more safely?
Choose a wallet that supports the chain where your TRUNK is held, and verify the token address before adding it. For a long-term holding, a hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, but it does not protect you if you approve a malicious transaction or enter your recovery phrase into a fake app.
Use these checks:
- Keep your recovery phrase private and stored offline; no support representative needs it.
- Confirm the network, recipient address and token before signing or bridging.
- Read wallet approval requests carefully. Revoke permissions you no longer need using a trusted tool.
- Be wary of unsolicited messages, fake airdrops and websites asking you to connect your wallet.
A bridge or DeFi app adds risks beyond ordinary wallet storage. Keep only the amount you are prepared to risk in contracts or borrowing positions, and retain enough of the relevant network’s native asset to pay transaction fees.
What could go wrong when you hold or use TRUNK?
What could go wrong when you hold or use TRUNK?
TRUNK’s price can fall, and limited trading volume may make selling at a desired price difficult. Its cross-chain use also adds bridge and network risks: a bridge, smart contract or token issuer can fail, be exploited or become unavailable. Using TRUNK as collateral adds the possibility of liquidation if the collateral value falls or your position breaches its rules. Borrowing USDC does not remove that exposure.
Elephant Money experienced a reported exploit in 2022 involving about $11.2 million in BNB. That historical incident is a reason to look carefully at protocol security; it does not by itself establish whether a particular TRUNK contract is affected today. The project’s descriptions of Trumpet being backed by TRUNK and increasing in value are not guarantees. Before depositing, check current contract details, redemption conditions and fees, and consider whether you can afford to lose the amount at risk.
