What does holding BRLA let you do?

BRLA is a stablecoin designed to track the Brazilian real (BRL), not the US dollar. BRLA Digital describes it as a payment token for businesses making cross-border transfers and using on- and off-ramps. Holding it may be useful if you need a digital asset intended to represent BRL value or a way to move BRL-denominated value between supported services. It is not a share in a company and does not give you a claim on business profits.

The project describes BRLA as compliant and audited, but those labels alone do not tell you what assets back each token, who holds them, or how and when holders can redeem BRLA for reais. Before relying on it for payments, check the issuer’s reserve disclosures, audit report and redemption terms. A BRL peg can also move against your local currency: BRLA’s value in US dollars depends on the BRL/USD exchange rate as well as whether the token tracks BRL closely.

Which networks and wallets can hold BRLA?

BRLA is issued on Polygon, Moonbeam, xDai and Celo. xDai is associated with the Gnosis Chain network, but check the exact network name and token contract shown by the service you use before sending. BRLA is not listed as the native token of any of these chains; it is a token that runs on them.

You need a wallet or account that supports the specific network and BRLA token contract you intend to use. A wallet showing BRLA on Polygon, for example, may not automatically show or control your BRLA on Celo. For self-custody, confirm the network and contract address through an official project channel, and make sure you can securely back up the wallet’s recovery credentials. A custodial platform may hold the tokens for you instead, but then you rely on that provider’s account access, withdrawal rules and solvency. Never assume that two tokens with the same ticker on different networks are interchangeable.

How does BRLA’s supply and BRL peg work?

As of 2026-11-08, reported circulating and total supply were both about 310.0 million BRLA; no maximum supply was reported. The reported market capitalization was about $55 million. Those are point-in-time figures, not a promise that every token can be redeemed for one real. The number of tokens in circulation can change as tokens are issued, redeemed or otherwise removed, depending on the issuer’s processes.

The price was about $0.177 in US dollars on that date. That is a quoted market value, not a USD peg: BRLA is intended to track the Brazilian real, whose exchange rate against the dollar changes. A stablecoin can also trade above or below its intended peg if trading access, liquidity or confidence weakens. To judge how well BRLA tracks BRL, compare its market price with the BRL value and look for current reserve and redemption disclosures. Do not treat supply, market capitalization or a stablecoin label as proof of guaranteed redemption.

How can you get and store BRLA?

You may encounter BRLA through a business payment service, an exchange or another platform that supports the token, but access depends on your location and the provider’s rules. The project describes BRLA’s on- and off-ramps as aimed at businesses; that does not mean every individual can redeem tokens directly for Brazilian reais. Check eligibility, identity checks, minimums, withdrawal limits and redemption terms with the service before sending funds. BRLA Digital does not publish a maximum supply, and the redemption process should be checked separately from supply figures.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the particular BRLA network and verify the token contract before adding it. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private; anyone who gets it may be able to control the wallet. If you use a custodial account, protect it with strong account security and understand how withdrawals are handled. In either case, test that the receiving service supports the same network as the sending service. A correct ticker does not prevent a mistaken-network transfer.

What does it cost to move BRLA between chains?

There is no single BRLA transfer fee. Sending it on Polygon, Moonbeam, xDai/Gnosis Chain or Celo requires a transaction on that network, and you generally need the network’s native gas token to pay for it. Network congestion and transaction complexity can affect the charge. The receiving platform may also set its own deposit or withdrawal fees, minimums or limits; check those before initiating a transfer.

Moving BRLA between networks usually involves a bridge or a service that supports deposits and withdrawals on both chains. A bridge may charge a fee and can introduce additional risks, including delays, technical failure or loss of funds if you use an unsupported route. Don’t assume that sending tokens to a different network address will convert them. Confirm the destination network, token contract and whether the recipient accepts BRLA on that chain. If the transaction is irreversible, a wrong network or address can make recovery difficult or impossible. Fees and supported routes can change, so check the live transaction details before confirming.

What could go wrong when you hold BRLA?

The main risks are that BRLA could lose its BRL peg, reserves might not be sufficient or accessible, or redemption could be delayed or unavailable. BRLA Digital describes the token as audited, but you should look for the audit’s date, scope, auditor and findings, as well as current reserve reporting and clear redemption terms. An audit is not a guarantee of future solvency or a fixed market price. You also face issuer, platform, wallet-security and smart-contract risks; holding BRLA on a chain adds that chain’s operational risks.

Before using BRLA, consider whether you can tolerate losing access to the funds or having to sell at a price below the intended peg. Check that any payment or redemption service is available where you live, and understand who is responsible if a transfer fails. Keep only the amount you need in a wallet or service you understand, and be wary of unofficial tokens or offers promising guaranteed returns. No stablecoin is risk-free.

What does BRLA’s price history tell you?

BRLA’s launch date is not published in the project facts summarized here. Its reported price history shows why a BRL peg should not be mistaken for a fixed US-dollar value: the quoted all-time high was about $0.205 on 2026-05-06, and the quoted all-time low was about $0.076 on 2024-11-04. These dollar prices reflect currency movements and market trading; by themselves they do not show whether BRLA tracked the real closely at those times.

For a current decision, compare BRLA’s price with the Brazilian real and review recent issuer information on reserves and redemption. Historical prices, supply and market capitalization can provide context, but they do not establish that you can redeem tokens at a particular rate today. If you are holding BRLA for a payment, also confirm that the recipient accepts it on your chosen network and that you have funds available for network fees.

By the numbers

BRLA Digital BRLA in numbers

BRLA Digital BRLA (BRLA) is ranked #411 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $55.0M and a price of $0.1773 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($55.0M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 3.7% over 7 days, down 10.1% over 30 days, down 4.7% over the past year. It trades about 13% below its all-time high of $0.2046, set on May 6, 2026.

About 310.05M BRLA are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $249K, or 0.5% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

BRLA has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Polygon, Moonbeam, xDai, Celo. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
