What can you use BONE for?

BONE has two main uses: it supports governance in ShibaSwap and pays for transactions on Shibarium. If you hold BONE, you may be able to participate in ShibaSwap governance by voting on proposals. That does not guarantee your vote will determine an outcome, and governance rights do not make the token a share in a company or a claim on its profits.

BONE can also be used in staking or liquidity activities in the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Those options can expose you to smart-contract risk, changing reward terms and, for liquidity pools, losses when token prices move relative to each other. Check the specific app and terms before committing tokens.

On Shibarium, BONE is used as the network’s gas token, so you need it to pay for transactions there. Keep some available if you plan to move or use tokens on that chain; holding BONE on Ethereum alone will not cover Shibarium transaction costs.

Which network and wallet do you need for BONE?

BONE is issued on Ethereum and is the native gas token on Shibarium. These are separate networks: a BONE balance on Ethereum is not automatically available to spend on Shibarium. Before sending, check the destination network and confirm that the receiving wallet or exchange supports BONE on that exact network.

Use a wallet that supports Ethereum and can connect to Shibarium. An EVM-compatible wallet may support both, but you may need to add or select the Shibarium network yourself. Confirm the network details through an official Shiba Inu ecosystem channel; a wrong network setting or unsupported deposit can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.

If you move BONE between networks, use only a bridge or transfer route you have independently verified. Bridges and contract interactions introduce additional risks, including smart-contract bugs and fake sites. Check the token contract address against an official project source before adding a token to your wallet: similarly named tokens can be counterfeit.

How much BONE exists, and is its supply capped?

BONE has a maximum supply of 250 million tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 249.9 million were circulating, with total supply reported at about 250.0 million. The figures are close to the cap, but supply numbers can change slightly and should not be treated as a live balance.

A capped supply does not set a floor under BONE’s price or guarantee demand. Its market value can move sharply as trading interest, ecosystem activity and wider crypto-market conditions change. Any market-cap or price figure is time-sensitive; check a current market quote before using one to assess a transaction.

BONE is a token, not a mining asset. The project information available here does not specify a launch date or a consensus mechanism for BONE itself. Do not assume that holding it produces income: governance participation, staking or liquidity activity each has separate conditions and risks.

How can you store BONE and what could go wrong?

For self-custody, keep BONE in a wallet where you control the recovery phrase, and store that phrase offline in a private place. Never share it with anyone or enter it into a site reached through an unsolicited message. A wallet provider cannot restore a phrase you have lost, and anyone who gets it may be able to take your tokens.

Check the network and recipient address before each transfer. Start with a small test transaction when appropriate, and review wallet prompts carefully: approving a contract can grant it permission to move tokens. Revoke permissions you no longer need using a trusted tool, and avoid signing transactions you do not understand.

BONE carries market risk as well as custody risk. Its price can fall, and ShibaSwap contracts, Shibarium applications or bridges may have technical vulnerabilities. BONE’s audit status is not published. If you keep tokens on an exchange instead, you also depend on that company’s account security, withdrawal access and solvency. Do not commit money you cannot afford to lose.

By the numbers

Bone ShibaSwap in numbers

Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) is ranked #1,091 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $12.5M and a price of $0.0499 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($12.5M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 2.3% over 7 days, down 17.3% over 30 days, down 53.0% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $15.50, set on Jul 6, 2021.

About 249.87M BONE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 250M (100% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $243K, or 1.9% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

BONE is the native token of Shibarium; it also has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups BONE under Layer 2 tokens, DeFi tokens, Meme coins.
