What can you use BFC for?
BFC is used as a currency for decentralised apps in the Bifrost multichain ecosystem. The stated use is that developers pay BFC to use Bifrost’s multichain middleware to build and operate their apps. If you hold BFC, that gives you exposure to a token with a developer-payment use case; it does not by itself mean you are entitled to revenue or app access.
Before relying on BFC for a particular service, check whether that service actually accepts it and what the payment covers. The token’s described role is narrower than a general claim that it provides governance, staking rewards or transaction-fee benefits. Do not assume BFC has those rights simply because another token or project uses similar language. Also distinguish BFC from BNC, a differently named token associated with a separate Bifrost parachain.
Which networks can you use for BFC?
BFC is issued on Ethereum and Fantom. It is a token on those networks, not the native coin of either one. When you send or receive BFC, the network selected by you and the recipient must match: sending on one network to an address or deposit route that only supports the other can result in lost funds.
Before transferring, check the receiving wallet or exchange’s BFC deposit instructions and confirm the supported network and token contract. A wallet showing a token with the name “BFC” is not enough to prove it is the correct asset; token names and symbols can be copied. Use the contract details confirmed by Bifrost through its official channels, and compare them with the network you intend to use. You will also need that network’s native gas asset to pay for a transfer. Network support can vary between wallets, exchanges and services, so check the exact route rather than assuming every BFC holder can use both networks.
How much BFC is in circulation?
As of 2026-11-08, BFC has about 1.39 billion tokens in circulation and about 2.37 billion total. A maximum supply is not specified, so you should not treat the total supply figure as a confirmed cap. Circulating and total supply are different: the circulating figure represents tokens counted as currently available, while total supply includes more of the token’s issued supply.
Supply figures can change, and token availability does not tell you what BFC is worth or whether there will be future issuance. If supply matters to your decision, check current figures and how the project accounts for circulating tokens before relying on an older number. On 2026-11-08, BFC’s market capitalisation was about $30.9 million, a figure that can move as the token price and supply measures change. None of these figures predicts future performance.
How should you store BFC safely?
Choose a wallet that supports the network you plan to use—Ethereum or Fantom—and lets you verify or add the correct BFC token contract. You do not need to hold BFC on both networks. If you use an exchange instead, confirm which BFC network it accepts for deposits and withdrawals before sending anything.
For self-custody, protect your recovery phrase offline and never share it with someone claiming to provide support. A wallet provider or project team should not need your recovery phrase to help with a transfer. Consider sending a small test amount first, especially when using a new wallet or deposit route; check that it arrives before sending more. Keep enough of the relevant network’s native gas asset for transactions, and remember that a wallet display alone does not confirm a token is genuine. Verify the contract and destination address before approving or signing a transaction.
What could go wrong if you hold BFC?
BFC carries the usual risks of a crypto token: its price can fall sharply, and you may not be able to sell or transfer it when you want. Market capitalisation and trading activity can change, so neither is a guarantee that a buyer will be available at a particular price. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
There are also practical risks. Sending BFC on the wrong network, using a counterfeit token contract, or approving a malicious wallet request can lead to irreversible losses. Smart contracts, wallets and any third-party service you use can have security weaknesses. If you move tokens through a bridge or other intermediary, that adds separate counterparty and technical risks; do not assume it is risk-free just because the token exists on more than one network.
The stated utility depends on developers using Bifrost’s middleware. If that demand does not develop or continue, the practical value of the payment use case may be limited. BFC does not guarantee income or an increase in value.
By the numbers
Bifrost in numbers
Bifrost (BFC) is ranked #624 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $30.9M and a price of $0.0222 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $52.6M, so roughly 59% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 5.0% over 7 days, down 23.7% over 30 days, down 12.2% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $0.7788, set on Aug 18, 2021.
About 1.39B BFC are in circulation, from a total supply of 2.37B. No hard maximum supply is listed.
24-hour trading volume was about $3.35M, or 11% of its market cap: high turnover.
BFC has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Fantom. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

BFC is described as a currency for apps in the Bifrost multichain ecosystem. Developers pay it to use Bifrost’s middleware to build and operate apps.
Which networks support BFC?
BFC is issued on Ethereum and Fantom. Confirm which network the recipient supports before sending, and make sure the token contract is correct.
What is BFC’s supply?
As of 2026-11-08, about 1.39 billion BFC was in circulation and total supply was about 2.37 billion. A maximum supply is not specified.
How do I store BFC?
Use a wallet that supports the relevant network and lets you verify the correct BFC contract. Protect your recovery phrase and keep the network’s native gas asset available for transfers.
Is BFC the native coin of Ethereum or Fantom?
No. BFC is a token issued on Ethereum and Fantom, not the native coin of either network. You need the relevant network’s native asset to pay transaction gas.
What is the market cap of Bifrost?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Bifrost had a market cap of about $30.9M, ranking #624 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of BFC?
Bifrost's all-time high is $0.7788, reached on Aug 18, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.008685 (Aug 19, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of BFC?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 1.39B BFC were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
Which blockchains is BFC on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum, Fantom.
