## What does holding AURA let you do?

AURA is the token for Aura Finance, a protocol built around Balancer’s veBAL system. Aura coordinates incentives intended to increase the rewards and governance influence available to Balancer liquidity providers and people who stake or vote in the system.

For you as a holder, the token’s role is tied to participating in that incentive and governance setup—not simply owning it. The project describes AURA as part of a system for token stakers and voters, but holding AURA by itself does not guarantee yield, voting power in every decision or a share of protocol revenue. Check the current staking and voting rules in Aura’s own app before committing tokens, including any lock-up, withdrawal or reward conditions. If you are considering depositing liquidity, assess the underlying Balancer pool as well as Aura: pool exposure and token rewards are separate risks.

## Which chains and wallets can hold AURA?

AURA has been issued on Ethereum, Base and xDai (now generally called Gnosis Chain); it is not listed as a native token of its own blockchain. Use an EVM-compatible wallet that supports the network you intend to use. MetaMask and Rabby are examples, and hardware wallets can add key protection when used with a compatible wallet interface.

Before sending tokens, select the matching network and verify the token’s contract address through Aura’s official channels. A ticker alone is not proof that a token is genuine: unrelated assets can use the same name or symbol. Also check whether a wallet or exchange supports the particular network you need. AURA on one chain may not be directly usable on another, and moving assets across chains can involve bridge and smart-contract risks. Never send tokens to an address or network just because a transaction page displays “AURA.”

## How much AURA exists, and how liquid is it?

AURA has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 72.1 million were circulating and about 86.4 million were in total supply. The difference between circulating and total supply matters: additional tokens may enter circulation, though Aura’s release schedule is not specified here, so check the project’s current token information before relying on a particular timing.

As of 2026-11-08, AURA traded at about $0.022, with a market capitalization around $1.6 million and a fully diluted valuation around $1.9 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $10, an exceptionally small figure that may make it difficult to trade at a predictable price. These are snapshots, not stable values. A thin market can mean wider spreads and greater price movement when you place an order, so check current liquidity rather than treating a quoted price as guaranteed.

## What could go wrong when you hold or use AURA?

AURA’s main risks include the token’s price volatility, low trading activity, and the contracts and pools used by Aura and Balancer. A pool can lose value through changes in the prices of its assets, while reward rates can change and rewards paid in volatile tokens may be worth less than expected. Depositing into a yield strategy adds risks beyond simply holding AURA.

Published audit details are limited, so check which contracts and versions have been reviewed before depositing; an audit cannot guarantee that funds are safe. If you use a bridge or a different network, verify the destination chain and account for bridge-specific risks. Keep your wallet recovery phrase offline, never share it, and confirm transaction details before signing. Be especially cautious of unsolicited messages, fake support accounts and sites asking you to approve broad token permissions. Consider whether you could afford to lose the amount at risk.

By the numbers

Aura Finance in numbers

Aura Finance (AURA) is ranked #2,581 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.61M and a price of $0.0223 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $1.93M, so roughly 83% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 15.1% over 7 days, down 1.6% over 30 days, down 72.4% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $4.05, set on Mar 14, 2023.

About 72.14M AURA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100M (72% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $10, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

AURA has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base, xDai. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
