What does holding ANT let you do?

ANT is Aragon’s governance token. Aragon builds software for creating and managing decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), and says ANT holders govern the Aragon project through the Aragon DAO. Holding ANT may let you take part in governance, but it does not by itself give you a claim on Aragon’s revenue, assets or future performance.

Aragon’s newer Aragon OSx protocol and no-code Aragon App are deployed on Ethereum and Polygon. That describes where the software is available; it does not mean ANT is issued on both networks. ANT is listed as issued on Ethereum, so check the network carefully before sending it or connecting a wallet. A Polygon deployment of an app is not proof that an ANT token on Polygon is genuine.

If you are considering ANT, look beyond the token’s governance label. Check what proposals holders can vote on, whether votes have binding effects, and whether the DAO is active. Governance rights can be limited by turnout, concentrated holdings or proposal rules, and they are not the same as a guaranteed financial benefit.

Which network and wallet should you use for ANT?

ANT is an Ethereum token. You can hold it in a wallet that supports Ethereum tokens, including a hardware wallet or a software wallet that lets you manage ERC-20 assets. Before sending, confirm that the receiving wallet supports ANT on Ethereum and that you have enough ETH to pay the network fee. Sending to an unsupported network or address can make tokens difficult or impossible to recover.

Aragon’s OSx protocol and app are also available on Polygon, but do not assume that ANT itself is supported there. Check the token contract and network shown in your wallet against Aragon’s current official information before adding a token or approving a transaction. A token with the same name or ticker on another network may be unrelated.

ANT’s liquidity also deserves attention. As of 2026-11-08, reported 24-hour trading volume was about $6, a very small amount. Low trading activity can make it harder to buy or sell at a quoted price, and a transaction may move the market price. Check the order size, spread and execution details before confirming any trade.

What is ANT’s supply, and can you redeem it?

As of 2026-11-08, ANT’s reported circulating and total supply were each about 43.2 million tokens, with a maximum supply of about 45.1 million. These are dated figures, not a live balance: circulating supply and market measures can change. At that date, its reported market capitalization was about $6.2 million. Do not use a market-cap figure as a promise that you can sell your tokens for that value; actual sale proceeds depend on available buyers and liquidity.

A separate issue is the Aragon Association’s announced ANT Redemption Initiative. The announcement described redemption at a fixed rate of 0.0025376 ETH per ANT. That announcement alone does not confirm whether redemptions are currently open, who remains eligible, or what steps apply now. Confirm the current status and requirements through Aragon’s official channels before sending tokens or interacting with a redemption contract.

Be cautious of unsolicited messages offering to redeem or convert ANT. Never share your seed phrase or sign a transaction you do not understand. A redemption claim can be imitated by scammers, and an irreversible blockchain transfer may not be recoverable.

How can you store ANT, and what could go wrong?

For long-term storage, keep ANT in a wallet where you control the private keys. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to online account compromise, but it cannot protect you if you disclose your recovery phrase or approve a malicious transaction. Write the phrase down and store it privately offline; do not enter it into a website, send it to support staff or save it in an unprotected message or cloud document.

Before moving a large balance, send a small test amount to the correct Ethereum address. Verify the network and destination address on the device you are using, and keep some ETH available for transaction fees. Treat token approvals carefully: an approval can allow a smart contract to move tokens, so check what you are authorizing and review or revoke permissions you no longer need using a trusted wallet tool.

The main risks are practical as well as market-related. ANT’s low reported trading volume may limit exit options; governance value depends on participation and decision-making; and smart-contract interactions can fail or expose funds to bugs or malicious permissions. You can lose money, and there is no guaranteed price or redemption outcome.

By the numbers

Aragon in numbers

Aragon (ANT) is ranked #1,534 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $6.21M and a price of $0.1439 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($6.21M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was up 41.4% over 7 days, up 133% over 30 days, up 4.9% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $13.41, set on Dec 31, 2021.

About 43.19M ANT are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 45.09M (96% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $6, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

ANT has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

ANT FAQs

What is Aragon (ANT) used for?

ANT is Aragon’s governance token, associated with decision-making through the Aragon DAO. Governance participation does not automatically give holders a claim on project income or assets.

What network is ANT on?

ANT is issued on Ethereum, so use a wallet that supports Ethereum tokens and verify the network before sending. Aragon’s app also runs on Polygon, but that does not establish that ANT is issued or supported there.

How many ANT tokens are there?

As of 2026-11-08, reported circulating and total supply were about 43.2 million ANT, and maximum supply was about 45.1 million. Supply figures can change, so treat these as dated estimates.

Can I still redeem ANT for ETH?

Aragon announced an initiative with a stated redemption rate of 0.0025376 ETH per ANT. The announcement does not confirm whether redemption is still open or what conditions apply now; verify the current status through Aragon’s official channels before taking action.

How do I store ANT safely?

Use a wallet that supports Ethereum tokens, protect your recovery phrase offline and never share it. Confirm addresses and networks before sending, and review contract permissions before approving transactions.

What is the market cap of Aragon?

As of Nov 8, 2026, Aragon had a market cap of about $6.21M, ranking #1,534 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of ANT?

Aragon's all-time high is $13.41, reached on Dec 31, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.007875 (Aug 8, 2025). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of ANT?

As of Nov 8, 2026, about 43.19M ANT were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 45.09M.

Which blockchains is ANT on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum.
