What does holding USDM mean?
USDM is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued on Cardano. Its stated design is to be backed 1:1 by US dollar reserves, with proof of reserves reported on-chain. That is the intended backing model, not a guarantee that you can always redeem a token for one dollar or sell it at that price on an exchange.
As of 2026-11-08, USDM traded at about $0.99. Its market capitalization was about $11.4 million, with roughly 11.53 million tokens in circulation and the same amount listed as total supply. No maximum supply is listed. These figures can change, and a market price below $1 shows that the traded price can diverge from the target.
Check the token’s exact identity before sending funds. USDM is also the ticker used by other crypto projects, so a matching name or symbol alone does not prove you have the Cardano stablecoin described here.
Which wallet and network should you use?
USDM is issued on Cardano as a native asset. You need a Cardano wallet that supports native assets, and the receiving address must be for Cardano. Sending USDM to an address on a different network can result in lost funds; a token with the same ticker on another chain is not interchangeable.
Before you receive or buy USDM, confirm the exact asset identifier with the issuer’s official information and compare it with what your wallet or trading venue displays. Do not rely on the ticker alone. Check that the wallet can show the token balance and that you can send it onward. Cardano transaction fees are generally paid in ADA, so keep some ADA available for transfers; USDM does not replace the network’s fee token.
A Cardano wallet gives you control of the signing keys, not a promise that USDM will hold its dollar value. If you use a custodial exchange instead, the platform controls withdrawals and may set its own requirements.
Can you use USDM like cash?
The stated purpose of USDM is to represent a US dollar value on Cardano. You may be able to hold it or transfer it where a wallet, exchange or application supports this exact asset. Confirm support before depositing: a platform may list another token called USDM, or may not accept Cardano deposits at all.
The project describes USDM as backed 1:1 by dollar reserves and says proof of reserves is reported on-chain. On-chain reporting can help you inspect reserve-related information, but it does not by itself establish that every reserve is available, independently audited or redeemable by every holder. The issuer’s redemption terms, eligibility requirements and fees are not specified here, so do not assume you can exchange USDM directly for dollars at any time.
If you need a dollar balance for a near-term payment, check the available market depth and withdrawal route first. As of 2026-11-08, 24-hour trading volume was about $33,000, which may mean selling a larger amount could be harder or affect the price.
What could go wrong while you hold USDM?
USDM carries both stablecoin and crypto-wallet risks. Its price can move away from $1: it was about $0.99 on 2026-11-08, and its recorded trading range has included prices well below a dollar. A peg depends on confidence in reserves, redemption access and market liquidity; none is guaranteed by the token label.
Before holding a meaningful amount, check who issues this Cardano USDM, how reserves are evidenced, whether an independent audit is published, and what redemption rules apply to ordinary holders. Do not treat an on-chain reserve report as proof that you personally can redeem tokens. Low trading volume can also make it difficult to exit at a price close to $1.
For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase offline and never share it. Test a small transfer before moving a larger balance, and verify the destination network and asset identifier. A lost phrase, mistaken transfer, compromised device or fake token can make funds unrecoverable. Keep only an amount you can afford to lose if the peg or issuer fails.

USDM (USDM) is ranked #1,144 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $11.4M and a price of $0.9881 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($11.4M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

About 11.53M USDM are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $33.4K, or 0.3% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
USDM has token contracts on Cardano. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
