What does holding NUTS actually give you?
NUTS is Thetanuts Finance’s token, associated with a decentralised options protocol focused on altcoin options. The project has described NUTS as supporting governance and incentives, but that does not by itself tell you what voting rights or rewards holders currently receive. Check the current token terms before counting on either.
Holding NUTS is also different from opening an options position. Owning the token does not automatically put you in an options trade, guarantee income, or give you a claim on protocol revenue. If you want to use Thetanuts Finance’s options products, review how the specific strategy works, its costs and the risks of the contract before depositing assets. Treat NUTS as a separate crypto asset whose value can change, not as a substitute for understanding the options product.
Which chain and wallet can hold NUTS?
NUTS is issued on Ethereum. Thetanuts Finance’s options protocol operates across multiple networks, but that does not mean the NUTS token is natively issued on every network the protocol supports. Check the chain and token contract before sending NUTS or using a bridge; a token with the same name on another network may not be the same asset.
To store it yourself, use a wallet that supports Ethereum tokens. Before adding the token, verify its contract address through Thetanuts Finance’s official channels. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys offline, while a software wallet may be more convenient for interacting with decentralised apps. In either case, keep your recovery phrase private and never enter it into a site or message that claims to help you claim or migrate NUTS. Sending tokens to an incompatible address or choosing the wrong network can make them difficult or impossible to recover.
How much NUTS exists, and how can supply affect you?
NUTS has a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. About 3.16 billion were circulating out of that total, according to figures dated November 8, 2026. The difference between circulating and maximum supply matters: future releases or changes in circulating supply can affect how scarce the token is, but the maximum alone does not show when or how tokens enter circulation.
On November 8, 2026, NUTS traded at about $0.00096, with a market capitalisation of roughly $3 million. These are time-sensitive figures, not a reliable measure of what the token will be worth later. Before making a decision, check current circulating supply, unlock or distribution information, and trading activity. A small market value or low unit price does not mean the token is cheap relative to its risks, and thin trading can make it harder to trade at the displayed price.
How can you store NUTS without losing control?
For self-custody, store NUTS in an Ethereum-compatible wallet you control and protect the recovery phrase offline. Consider a hardware wallet if you hold an amount that would be costly to lose. Keep a small test transfer in mind before moving a larger balance, and verify the receiving address and network on your device before approving a transaction.
Your wallet does not protect you from every risk. If you connect it to a malicious site or approve a harmful token allowance, assets may be taken even though your recovery phrase stays private. Revoke approvals you no longer need using a trusted wallet or security tool, and be wary of unsolicited messages about NUTS airdrops, staking or urgent migrations. Never share your recovery phrase or sign a transaction you cannot understand. If you use a custodial exchange instead, you rely on that provider to safeguard access and process withdrawals.
What should you check before using Thetanuts Finance?
NUTS carries the usual crypto risks: its price can fall sharply, trading may be limited, and a token’s stated uses may change. The options protocol has additional risks for anyone using it, including losses from the options strategy, smart-contract failures, liquidity constraints and pricing or oracle problems. These are risks to assess, not claims that a specific failure has occurred.
Before trading through Thetanuts Finance, verify the current fees, how assets are held or controlled, and whether independent audits cover the contracts you will use. Read what an audit does and does not cover; it is not a guarantee against loss. Check that you understand the strategy and can afford to lose the assets committed to it. Do not treat governance or incentive language as a promise of benefits, and do not rely on past token prices to predict future performance.
By the numbers
Thetanuts Finance in numbers
Thetanuts Finance (NUTS) is ranked #2,018 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $3.03M and a price of $0.0009610 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $9.61M, so roughly 32% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was up 1.0% over 7 days, down 0.2% over 30 days, down 36.5% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $0.0407, set on May 20, 2024.
About 3.16B NUTS are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 10B (32% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $23.0K, or 0.8% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
NUTS has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
NUTS is linked to Thetanuts Finance, which we cover in our Options rankings. See our Thetanuts Finance page for how the protocol works and how we score it.
