## What does holding TDROP let you do?
TDROP is ThetaDrop’s marketplace token. The project describes it as a reward for eligible activity on the ThetaDrop NFT Marketplace, a staking-reward token, and a governance token for proposed marketplace changes. Its design is sometimes called “NFT liquidity mining”: users earn TDROP when they make purchases using TFUEL on the secondary market, or through certain third-party NFT apps built on the marketplace smart contract.
Holding TDROP may also qualify you for marketplace VIP benefits, such as early or exclusive NFT access, limited-edition packs, and other perks. These benefits depend on ThetaDrop’s rules and may change; don’t treat them as guaranteed income or a fixed entitlement. The project has described primary-market purchases and initial NFT drops as a planned way to earn TDROP, but that does not establish that the feature is currently available. Check the marketplace’s current terms before relying on a particular reward or benefit.
## Which network and wallet do you need for TDROP?
TDROP is issued on the Theta blockchain as a TNT-20 token. It is not described as a native token of its own blockchain. The project’s stated uses are tied to ThetaDrop, so check that the marketplace currently supports the action you want—such as staking, voting, or using a VIP benefit—before moving tokens there.
For self-custody, use a wallet that explicitly supports the Theta network and TNT-20 assets, and confirm it can display and send TDROP. Wallet support can differ, even when an app supports other tokens or networks. Before sending a large amount, make a small test transfer and check the receiving address and network carefully. Sending TDROP to an incompatible network or address can make it difficult or impossible to recover. A marketplace account and a self-custody wallet are not necessarily the same thing; establish who controls the keys before depositing.
## How much TDROP exists, and what can the supply tell you?
The stated maximum supply is 20 billion TDROP. As of 2026-11-08, the circulating and total supplies were each about 11.05 billion, so the figures put the amount then in circulation well below the stated cap. The maximum is a limit, not a promise that every remaining token will be issued or distributed on a particular schedule.
Supply figures can change, and token availability on an exchange may differ from the circulating total. If supply matters to your decision, check the current contract and project information before relying on an older figure. At the same date, TDROP’s price was about $0.00041 and its market capitalization about $4.5 million; both can move quickly and are not measures of what you can sell your own holdings for. Trading volume and market depth affect whether a sale can be completed at a quoted price.
## How can you store TDROP and avoid common wallet traps?
If you hold TDROP in a self-custody wallet, protect the recovery phrase offline and never share it with a person, website, or support account. Use a strong, unique wallet password, lock your device, and keep your software up to date. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to malware when it supports Theta and TDROP, but confirm compatibility before transferring tokens.
Treat unexpected messages about VIP access, staking rewards, airdrops, or governance votes with caution. Fake claim pages and imitation marketplace accounts may ask you to connect a wallet or approve a transaction. Read wallet prompts closely: a signature or token approval can authorize actions beyond simply viewing a page. If you use a custodial marketplace account, find out whether you control the private keys and how withdrawals work. ThetaDrop’s custody arrangements, security safeguards, and fee schedule are not established, so verify these details before depositing or approving access.
## What could go wrong if you hold or use TDROP?
TDROP’s value and usefulness depend on activity and rules within the ThetaDrop ecosystem. Marketplace rewards, VIP perks, staking terms, and governance participation can change; holding the token does not guarantee a particular reward, benefit, or voting outcome. The project has not established a fixed return for staking, and governance rights do not mean holders control every marketplace decision.
The token also carries ordinary crypto risks: its price can fall sharply, trading can be thin, and you may not be able to sell at the price you expect. At 2026-11-08, its quoted price was about $0.00041, but that is only a dated snapshot. Smart-contract, wallet, account, and operational failures can also lead to loss. Before using TDROP, check current marketplace terms, network support, custody and withdrawal arrangements, and any applicable transaction costs. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
