## What does OGY let you do?

OGY is the utility token of the ORIGYN platform. The project says OGY is used to access the platform and is required to create ORIGYN Certificates, which can be minted, referenced and transacted there. A certificate is an NFT intended to act as a digital twin of a unique physical item, such as a watch, handbag or artwork.

That gives OGY a platform-use role; it does not mean every holder needs OGY for ordinary transfers or that the token itself represents a particular physical object. If you are considering OGY for access to ORIGYN services, check the current service requirements and get a firm quote before committing funds. The project describes OGY as a utility token, but that label does not guarantee demand, value or any legal right to an item.

## Does an ORIGYN Certificate prove you own an item?

An ORIGYN Certificate is described as a digital twin of a unique item, not the item itself. Holding OGY does not, by itself, establish ownership of a watch, artwork or other asset. Nor should you assume that a certificate proves an item's authenticity just because it is recorded as an NFT.

Before relying on a certificate, find out who inspected the physical item, what evidence was checked, whether the inspection can be independently verified, and how the digital record stays connected to the item if it is resold or separated from its certificate. ORIGYN's public description explains the certificate concept, but does not set out a universal verification standard or guarantee for every asset. For a high-value purchase, ask the seller and relevant professionals to verify both the physical item and any associated legal documents.

## Which network and wallet should you use for OGY?

OGY is issued on the Internet Computer (ICP) network. If you plan to hold it in a wallet, confirm that the wallet explicitly supports OGY on ICP; support for ICP or for tokens on other networks does not automatically mean it supports this token. Check the token identifier and network against a trusted ORIGYN source before depositing, and make a small test transfer if appropriate.

Keep your recovery phrase offline and private. Anyone who gets it may be able to control the assets in your wallet, and a mistaken network or address can make a transfer difficult or impossible to recover. If you use an exchange instead, check that it supports OGY withdrawals on ICP and review its custody and withdrawal terms. Do not send OGY to an address simply because it accepts another token with a similar name or symbol.

## How much OGY is in circulation?

As of 2026-11-08, about 8.12 billion OGY were circulating, against a total supply of about 10.41 billion and a stated maximum of about 10.62 billion. These figures describe different things: circulating supply is the amount counted as in circulation, total supply includes additional issued tokens, and the maximum is the stated cap. Supply figures can change, so check current token information before making a decision.

OGY's market price and trading activity also move. It traded at about $0.00117 on 2026-11-08, with a market capitalization of about $9.5 million and 24-hour volume of about $101,000. Those figures are a snapshot, not a promise of liquidity or a reliable estimate of what you could receive when selling. Thin trading can make it harder to exit at a price near the displayed quote.

## What are the main risks of holding OGY?

OGY carries both token-market risk and reliance on ORIGYN's platform. Its price can fall, and limited trading activity may widen the gap between buy and sell prices. Platform use also depends on continued development and adoption; a certificate's practical value depends on the quality of its verification and the link between the NFT and the physical item.

To store OGY, use a wallet that supports the token on ICP, protect your recovery phrase offline, and consider a hardware wallet if it supports OGY. Never share your phrase or approve an unfamiliar transaction. Before using a certificate, check its issuer, supporting evidence, transfer terms and any legal records for the physical asset. Do not treat a token balance or NFT record as a substitute for due diligence, and only commit money you can afford to lose.

By the numbers

ORIGYN in numbers

ORIGYN (OGY) is ranked #1,265 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $9.52M and a price of $0.001173 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $12.2M, so roughly 78% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was up 1.8% over 7 days, down 0.3% over 30 days, down 56.0% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $0.0456, set on Jul 12, 2022.

About 8.12B OGY are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 10.62B (76% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $101K, or 1.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

OGY has token contracts on ICP. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

OGY FAQs

What is OGY used for?

OGY is the utility token of the ORIGYN platform. ORIGYN says it is required to create certificates and access platform functions.

Which blockchain is OGY on?

OGY is issued on the Internet Computer (ICP) network. Use a wallet that explicitly supports OGY on ICP, and verify the token and network before transferring.

Does holding OGY mean I own a real-world asset?
