What does NEWT do in Newton Protocol?
Newton Protocol is designed to let users, DAOs and other protocols authorize automated onchain actions without depending entirely on centralized bots. Its agent system uses programmable permissions, so you can set conditions for what an agent may do on your behalf. The project describes trusted execution environments (TEEs), zero-knowledge proofs and modular agents as parts of its approach to making those actions verifiable.
NEWT is associated with paying for automation-related computing and protocol activity, including transaction or gas costs, service registration and provider rewards. Check the specific application before interacting: a token’s stated role does not mean every Newton Protocol action requires NEWT, or that a particular app accepts it. Automation also introduces a separate decision for you: whether the permissions you grant are narrow enough for the task. Review what an agent can access, what conditions limit it and how you can revoke or change authorization before approving it.
Which chains and wallets can hold NEWT?
NEWT has been issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain; it is not identified as the native coin of either network. A token balance on one chain is not automatically the same as a balance on the other. When receiving or withdrawing NEWT, choose the network supported by the wallet or exchange at both ends. Sending a token through an unsupported network can make it difficult or impossible to recover.
You can use a wallet that supports the relevant network and token standard, including a hardware wallet paired with compatible wallet software. Before adding or receiving the token, confirm its contract address through Newton Protocol’s official channels. Token names and tickers are not unique, so a lookalike token can appear in a wallet or search result. If you use a custodial exchange, check its available withdrawal networks and fees before moving funds; those can differ from the network’s own transaction costs.
How much NEWT is in circulation?
Newton Protocol has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion NEWT, with 215 million circulating. That means about 21.5% of the maximum supply is circulating; the remainder is not part of the stated circulating figure. A maximum supply is not a schedule: it does not tell you when additional tokens may enter circulation or who may receive them. Check current project disclosures for allocation and release details before relying on assumptions about future supply.
As of 2026-11-08, NEWT’s price was about $0.039, its market capitalization about $8.3 million and its fully diluted valuation about $38.7 million. These are snapshots, not fixed values. A relatively small market capitalization can also mean trading is more sensitive to limited liquidity or concentrated activity. Neither supply figures nor market metrics tell you whether the protocol will gain adoption or whether the token will suit your needs.
How can you store NEWT more safely?
For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase offline and never share it with an agent, support account or website. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys separate from an internet-connected device, but it cannot protect you if you approve a harmful transaction or grant an unsafe permission. Store the recovery phrase somewhere private and durable, and avoid saving a readable copy in cloud storage or sending it through messaging apps.
When you move NEWT, first confirm the destination address and network, then consider a small test transfer if the amount is significant. Keep enough of the network’s native coin for transaction fees: NEWT itself may not pay the standard network fee. Review wallet prompts carefully, especially when granting an agent ongoing permissions. If you lose the recovery phrase, a wallet provider generally cannot restore self-custody access for you.
What risks should you weigh before holding NEWT?
NEWT’s value can fall sharply, and the token’s market price does not guarantee that Newton Protocol’s automation will be widely used. Onchain agents can also make mistakes, act on flawed instructions or be exposed to vulnerabilities in the software, permissions or connected protocols. TEEs and zero-knowledge proofs are security techniques, not a promise that every component or action is risk-free.
You also face ordinary token risks: sending funds to the wrong network or address, interacting with a counterfeit contract, losing your keys, or being unable to sell at a desired price if liquidity is limited. The circulating supply is much smaller than the stated maximum, so future changes in circulating supply may matter; check project disclosures rather than assuming a release timetable. Only hold an amount you can afford to lose, and avoid granting broad agent permissions when a narrower authorization will do.
By the numbers
Newton Protocol in numbers
Newton Protocol (NEWT) is ranked #1,349 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $8.32M and a price of $0.0387 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $38.7M, so roughly 21% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 13.3% over 7 days, down 14.8% over 30 days, down 71.0% over the past year. It trades about 95% below its all-time high of $0.8206, set on Jun 24, 2025.
About 215M NEWT are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (22% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.48M, or 18% of its market cap: high turnover.
NEWT has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

NEWT FAQs
What is NEWT used for?
Newton Protocol describes NEWT as supporting automation-related activity, including computing and transaction costs, service registration and provider rewards. The exact token requirements can depend on the application or service you use.
Which networks support NEWT?
NEWT has been issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Confirm the network supported by both the sending and receiving wallet or exchange before transferring it.
What is the maximum supply of NEWT?
The stated maximum and total supply is 1 billion NEWT, and 215 million are circulating. The maximum does not specify when or how the remaining tokens may enter circulation.
How do I store NEWT safely?
A compatible wallet can hold NEWT on either supported network, and a hardware wallet may help protect your signing keys. Verify the contract address through Newton Protocol’s official channels and keep your recovery phrase private.
Is Newton Protocol risk-free?
The project’s use of TEEs, zero-knowledge proofs and programmable permissions does not eliminate software, authorization or market risks. Review each permission carefully, and remember that token prices and liquidity can change substantially.
What is the market cap of Newton Protocol?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Newton Protocol had a market cap of about $8.32M, ranking #1,349 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of NEWT?
Newton Protocol's all-time high is $0.8206, reached on Jun 24, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.0350 (Aug 18, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of NEWT?
