Owning MLC: Uses, Chains and Risks

My Lovely Coin (MLC) is the utility token for My Lovely Planet, a web3 game focused on environmental protection. The project says players can use MLC to buy digital items, hold it to unlock exclusive content, and vote on environmental organisations and take part in an Environmental Treasury.

The project also says that planting a tree in the game leads to a real tree being planted. Treat that as a project commitment to check for yourself: token ownership alone does not show how many trees have been planted or how the environmental treasury is managed. Those outcomes depend on the game and its operators, not just on the token.

Before acquiring MLC for in-game access or voting, check that the relevant feature is still available and confirm which MLC network it accepts. A token balance on one chain may not count for a game feature that expects a different deployment. If you mainly want to use the game, consider whether its token requirements and access rules make sense for you before transferring funds.

MLC is issued on Polygon, Solana and BNB Chain. It is not listed as the native token of any of those networks, so you will need the network’s own native coin to pay transaction fees when moving MLC or interacting with apps on that chain.

Choose a wallet that supports both the network and the specific MLC token you intend to hold. Seeing a wallet support Polygon, Solana or BNB Chain does not by itself confirm that it recognises the right MLC deployment. Check the token details against My Lovely Planet’s official information before adding a token or sending funds. Do not rely on the ticker alone: different assets can share a symbol.

Keep withdrawals and deposits on matching networks. Sending MLC to an address or service that does not support that chain can leave the funds inaccessible, and recovery is not guaranteed. If you plan to use MLC in the game, confirm which network the game accepts before transferring. A small test transfer can help catch a network mismatch, but it still costs fees and cannot guarantee that a later transfer will succeed.

MLC has a stated maximum supply of 350 million tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 139.3 million were circulating and about 235.5 million were reported as total supply. These figures are different measures: the maximum is the stated cap, while circulating and total supply describe tokens counted in those categories at that time. Supply figures can change, so check them again before relying on them.

The reported price was about $0.0133 on 2026-11-08, with a market capitalisation of about $1.8 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $3.1 million. These are snapshots, not stable values. The reported one-year price change was about -94.7% at that date, illustrating how sharply MLC’s value can move. Past performance does not indicate what will happen next.

If you hold MLC for in-game utility, consider whether you would still want it if the game’s activity or token demand fell. If you hold it as an asset, remember that a small market can have limited liquidity: a quoted price does not guarantee you can sell a large amount at that price.

Protect MLC as you would any other crypto asset: secure your wallet’s recovery phrase offline, never share it, and check each transaction’s network and recipient address before confirming. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to online account theft if it supports the exact MLC deployment you use. Keep a separate amount of the network’s native coin available for fees.

MLC carries several risks. Its use depends on My Lovely Planet and the game continuing to operate and support the token. Token prices can fall sharply, and thin trading can make it harder to exit at a desired price. Using the wrong chain or token contract can result in lost funds. Smart-contract or wallet vulnerabilities, phishing, and mistakes approving transactions are also common crypto risks.

The environmental purpose is not a guarantee of financial value or measurable impact. Check how the project reports tree planting and treasury decisions, and do not assume that holding MLC automatically creates an environmental benefit. Only use funds you can afford to lose, and do not share your recovery phrase with anyone claiming they need it to help with MLC.
