What does holding EEMON give you?
EEMON is Ondo’s tokenized version of the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (EEM). It is intended to give you economic exposure similar to holding EEM, including reinvestment of any dividends. That is different from buying the ETF through a regular brokerage account: the token is a blockchain-based product, and the token description does not establish that you receive direct shareholder rights, voting rights or a claim you can exercise against the ETF itself.
Ondo describes its tokenized stocks and ETFs as available for eligible non-U.S. retail and institutional users to mint and redeem around the clock, five days a week, with access to traditional exchange liquidity. Restrictions apply, so check your eligibility and the redemption process before relying on that access. EEMON is not a native network coin used to pay for general blockchain services. Its stated purpose is exposure to the ETF.
As of 2026-11-07, EEMON’s reported price was about $59.26 and its 24-hour trading volume was about $10. That low reported volume is a reason to check actual market depth and trading conditions before placing an order.
Which chains and wallets can you use?
EEMON is issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana. You need a wallet that supports the specific network and token standard for the EEMON you hold; a wallet address on one chain will not necessarily work on another. Confirm the network and token contract through Ondo’s official product information before receiving, sending or adding a token to a wallet. A mistaken network or address can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.
The project facts do not name particular wallets or publish a maximum supply. As of 2026-11-07, reported circulating and total supply were both about 110,222 EEMON. Those figures can change as tokens are issued or redeemed, so they are not a fixed cap or a guarantee of available liquidity.
If you use a self-custody wallet, protect its recovery phrase offline and never share it. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to online account compromise, but it cannot protect you from sending EEMON to the wrong chain, approving a malicious transaction or losing access to your recovery phrase. If you hold through a platform instead, check its custody and withdrawal terms.
What risks should you check before holding EEMON?
EEMON’s purpose is to track economic exposure similar to EEM, not to promise a fixed return. The value can move with the underlying emerging-markets ETF and with conditions in the token market. Emerging-market shares may be affected by currency moves, political or regulatory changes, company performance and different local market hours. Token trading being available outside regular U.S. exchange hours does not mean the underlying ETF is trading continuously.
Token prices can also diverge from the value of the underlying exposure. The ability to mint or redeem may help connect the two, but eligibility limits, processing conditions, network congestion or a thin market can affect your ability to act when you want. As of 2026-11-07, reported 24-hour volume was about $10, which signals that you should check live order depth and the difference between buy and sell prices rather than assume you can trade at the displayed price.
Before using EEMON, find out what legal rights attach to the token, how its assets are held, what redemption conditions apply and whether you qualify. Do not assume token ownership is the same as holding EEM shares directly.
How can you store EEMON and avoid common mistakes?
There is no published fee schedule in the project facts. Before minting, redeeming or trading, check the current terms for any platform charges, spreads and blockchain transaction fees. Network fees are paid in the network’s own fee token, not in EEMON, and vary with network conditions. A low quoted trading fee can still be outweighed by a wide spread or the cost of moving tokens between chains.
For self-custody, keep the recovery phrase private and offline, use a device you trust, and verify every transaction’s chain, destination and amount. Do not follow unsolicited messages offering to help you claim or transfer EEMON, and do not approve a wallet request you do not understand. Scammers may impersonate token issuers or direct you to counterfeit tokens; confirm the contract address from an official Ondo channel before interacting.
If you use a custodian or trading platform, review its withdrawal rules, security practices and what happens if it suspends service. Neither self-custody nor a third-party account removes the risks of token price divergence, limited liquidity or restrictions on redemption.
What should you confirm before using EEMON?
EEMON may suit someone seeking blockchain-based exposure similar to an emerging-markets ETF, but it adds token, platform and redemption risks to the investment risks of the underlying market. It is worth comparing the token’s live price and liquidity with the underlying ETF exposure, and checking whether you can actually mint or redeem under the terms that apply to you.
Before committing funds, verify these points:
- You are eligible to use the product in your location.
- You understand the token’s legal rights and redemption conditions.
- Your wallet or platform supports the correct chain and token.
- You have checked current spreads, fees and available market depth.
- You can tolerate losses from both emerging-market price moves and token-market disruptions.
Do not treat the reported supply as a promise that tokens can be sold immediately, or assume that access to a blockchain market guarantees access to the underlying ETF’s liquidity. If any key condition is unclear, pause until you can confirm it from the product’s current terms.
