What does owning GMEX give you?

GMEX is a tokenized-stock product intended to track GameStop stock, not a GameStop-themed meme coin and not a native blockchain currency. The xStocks project describes its tokens as backed 1:1 by underlying assets and says holders have a legal claim to the stock’s value. That is different from owning shares through a broker: GMEX’s terms determine what rights you actually have, and the token description alone does not establish shareholder voting rights or direct ownership of shares.

The project also says xStocks can be used with decentralized-finance protocols. That may let you transfer or use GMEX in supported crypto services, but it adds risks beyond holding a listed share. Before using it, check the issuer’s current legal terms, who holds the backing assets, how redemptions work, and whether the product is available to you. The project describes xStocks as EU-regulation-compliant and accessible to non-US users; that does not mean every person or jurisdiction can access GMEX.

Which GMEX network should your wallet use?

GMEX has been issued on Arbitrum, Solana, BNB Chain and Ethereum. It is not the native token of any of these networks. You need a wallet that supports the specific network on which your GMEX is held, as well as that network’s transaction fees. A token shown under the same ticker on another chain may be a different contract, so confirm the network and official token contract before depositing or sending funds.

If you use an exchange, check which GMEX network it supports for deposits and withdrawals. Sending a token over an unsupported network can make it difficult or impossible to recover. Do not assume that a bridge is official or safe just because it offers to move GMEX between chains; verify any bridge and the receiving contract through the project’s official channels. Wallet compatibility also does not guarantee that you can redeem the token for stock or cash. Check the product terms for transfer, eligibility and redemption conditions before relying on that option.

How much GMEX exists, and what do the figures mean?

As of 2026-11-08, GMEX was priced at about $25, with a market capitalization of about $2.1 million. Reported circulating supply was about 82,837 tokens, while total supply was about 4.93 million. No maximum supply is specified. These figures can change, and market capitalization based on circulating supply is not the same as the value of all tokens that may eventually circulate.

That gap between circulating and total supply matters when you assess potential dilution: a larger amount of tokens exists than the reported circulating amount. The project’s public description does not explain the release schedule or the conditions for minting and burning tokens, so check its token documentation before drawing conclusions from supply figures. GMEX’s market price can also differ from GameStop shares because of trading liquidity, token-specific demand and the mechanics used to track the underlying asset. A quoted token price does not guarantee that you can sell or redeem at that price.

How can you store GMEX, and what could go wrong?

For self-custody, use a reputable wallet that supports GMEX on the correct chain. Keep your seed phrase offline, never share it, and make sure you can restore your wallet before sending a significant amount. Check the destination network and token contract carefully; a wrong-chain transfer can result in a permanent loss. If you hold GMEX through a custodial exchange, review its withdrawal and custody arrangements instead of assuming you control the private keys.

GMEX’s main risks include the possibility that the token does not track GameStop shares closely, limited liquidity, and dependence on the issuer and the arrangements backing the token. You also face smart-contract, wallet, exchange and blockchain risks. A legal claim to value is only as useful as the terms, enforcement process and ability to redeem it. The project’s short description does not specify redemption procedures or publish a supply schedule, so read the current legal and product documents before relying on either. Tokenized stock exposure is not the same as a protected brokerage account.
