What does holding TANGO give you?

Contango is a DeFi protocol for building leveraged positions by repeatedly combining spot trades and borrowing from money markets. Its described strategies include leveraging liquid-staking and restaking assets, using Pendle PTs, seeking differences between rates, and creating delta-neutral positions to pursue funding payments. These strategies can behave differently from holding an asset outright: borrowed funds magnify both gains and losses, and positions may be liquidated.

That does not establish what holding TANGO itself gives you. The project description explains Contango’s protocol but does not specify a use for the TANGO token, such as governance, fee discounts, revenue rights or rewards. Don’t assume that using the protocol requires TANGO or that owning TANGO gives you a claim on its positions. Check the project’s current token documentation before relying on any particular token benefit.

Which network and wallet do you need for TANGO?

TANGO is issued on Arbitrum; it is not listed as the native token of a blockchain. To hold it yourself, use a wallet that supports Arbitrum and the relevant token standard. Before sending funds, confirm that the wallet is set to the correct Arbitrum network and verify the token’s contract address through Contango’s official channels. A token with the same name or ticker on another network may not be the same asset.

If you plan to use Contango, distinguish the wallet that holds TANGO from the assets committed to an open leveraged position. Connecting a wallet does not by itself mean you have opened a position, but signing a transaction can approve token spending or interact with a protocol contract. Read each wallet prompt and check the asset, amount and transaction before approving. Never share your recovery phrase or private keys with a website, support agent or anyone claiming to help.

How much TANGO is in circulation, and how liquid is it?

As of 2026-11-07, the reported circulating supply was about 456.4 million TANGO out of a total and maximum supply of 1 billion. That leaves roughly 543.6 million tokens outside the circulating figure; the supply data does not explain when or how those tokens may enter circulation. A maximum supply is not the same as the amount currently available to trade.

On that date, TANGO’s reported price was about $0.00445, market capitalization about $2.0 million, fully diluted valuation about $4.5 million and 24-hour trading volume about $7. These are point-in-time figures, not a quote you can rely on now. The reported 7-day price change was about +151% while the 1-year change was about -43%, illustrating how sharply performance can vary across timeframes. The very low reported trading volume is a practical concern: a displayed price may not be available for a trade of your size, and selling can move the price.

How can you store TANGO more safely?

For a long-term TANGO holding, use a wallet you control and protect its recovery phrase offline. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure to malware when used correctly, but it cannot protect you if you approve a malicious transaction or enter your recovery phrase into a fake site. Keep the phrase private, and consider a secure backup that you can access if your device is lost.

Confirm the Arbitrum network and token contract before depositing TANGO into a wallet or moving it between services. Test a small transfer first if you are unfamiliar with the destination. Be cautious with unsolicited airdrops, unfamiliar tokens and requests to connect your wallet or sign a message; a signature can authorize actions even when no coins appear to move. If you interact with Contango, review spending approvals and revoke permissions you no longer need using a trusted wallet tool. Self-custody means you are responsible for recovering access and checking transactions.

What can go wrong with TANGO or a Contango position?

Holding TANGO and using Contango’s leveraged strategies carry separate risks. TANGO’s market price can fall, and the low reported trading volume may make it harder to exit at a quoted price. Token supply figures also do not tell you when additional tokens could circulate, so check for current project disclosures rather than assuming supply is fixed at the circulating amount.

A leveraged loop adds borrowing costs, changing collateral values and liquidation risk. If the value or health of a position falls below a protocol’s requirements, collateral may be sold to repay debt. Borrow rates and market liquidity can change, and a strategy involving staking assets, PTs or funding rates can behave differently than expected. Smart-contract bugs, oracle issues and failures in connected protocols can also cause losses. Before committing funds, understand the position’s collateral, debt, fees, liquidation threshold and exit route. Don’t treat a strategy described as delta-neutral or low-funding as risk-free.

By the numbers

Contango in numbers

Contango (TANGO) is ranked #2,363 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $2.03M and a price of $0.004453 as of Nov 7, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $4.45M, so roughly 46% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was up 151% over 7 days, up 94.1% over 30 days, down 43.1% over the past year. It trades about 96% below its all-time high of $0.1182, set on Dec 6, 2024.

About 456.37M TANGO are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (46% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $7, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

TANGO has token contracts on Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

TANGO FAQs

What network is TANGO on?

TANGO is issued on Arbitrum. Use a wallet that supports that network and verify the token contract before receiving or sending it.

What is the TANGO token used for?

Contango describes strategies for leveraged DeFi positions, but its project description does not establish a specific benefit or right for TANGO holders. Check current token documentation before assuming it provides governance, rewards or fee discounts.

What is the supply of TANGO?

The reported circulating supply was about 456.4 million TANGO, with a total and maximum supply of 1 billion, as of 2026-11-07. These figures can change, and the circulating supply is not the same as the maximum.

Can you lose money using Contango?

A leveraged position can incur borrowing costs and be liquidated if its collateral or health falls below required levels. Smart-contract, oracle, connected-protocol and market-liquidity risks can also lead to losses.

How do you store TANGO safely?

Use a wallet that supports Arbitrum, keep your recovery phrase offline and private, and check the token contract and network before sending. Review wallet approvals and be wary of unexpected tokens or signing requests.

What is the market cap of Contango?

As of Nov 7, 2026, Contango had a market cap of about $2.03M, ranking #2,363 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of TANGO?

Contango's all-time high is $0.1182, reached on Dec 6, 2024. Its all-time low is $0.0001506 (Apr 22, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
