What can you use SYND for?
SYND is used for gas and governance in the Syndicate Network, which is designed to let developers build application-specific blockchains called appchains. Appchain operators can use SYND to pay for sequencing transactions, deploying sequencer contracts and writing blocks to the network. Syndicate’s Commons Chain, an L3 that settles on Base, also uses SYND as its gas token.
SYND also gives holders voting rights over network decisions. The project says holders vote on matters such as treasury deployments, network upgrades and strategic partnerships through a Wyoming Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Association. That does not make each holder a direct owner of the network’s assets, and a token’s voting rights do not guarantee that proposals will pass or be implemented.
If you are considering holding SYND, separate these uses: network activity may create demand for gas, while governance gives holders a role in decisions. Neither use guarantees a token price or a return.
Which chains and wallets support SYND?
SYND was issued on Ethereum and Base. It is not listed as the native token of either chain; Ethereum’s native gas token is ETH, and Base uses ETH for its standard transaction fees. Syndicate describes SYND as the gas token for its own network and Commons Chain, which settles on Base. So, do not assume that having SYND covers ordinary Ethereum or Base transaction fees.
To hold or transfer SYND, use a wallet that supports the relevant EVM network and the token contract. Check which network a withdrawal or deposit uses before sending, and confirm the token contract through Syndicate’s official channels. A token with the same ticker can be unrelated or counterfeit.
Moving SYND between Ethereum and Base may involve a bridge. Bridges add separate contract and transaction risks, and a transfer on one chain does not mean the token is available in the same wallet view on another. Confirm the destination network and contract before you send funds.
How many SYND tokens exist?
SYND has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 478.7 million were circulating, while the total supply was 1 billion. Circulating supply can change as tokens enter circulation, so check current figures before relying on them. A fixed maximum does not mean every token is already circulating or that the market value cannot fall.
The project describes SYND as having a fixed supply, with 92% minted at genesis and the remaining 8% distributed through programmatic emissions over four years. Its token description also identifies a 258.7 million SYND treasury held by the network’s DUNA. Treasury control, emission schedules and holder votes can affect how tokens are used or released, so consider these alongside the headline supply.
Market figures move quickly. As of 2026-11-08, SYND’s market capitalization was about $2.3 million. That is a dated snapshot, not a measure of what you could sell your holdings for; trading liquidity and the price available can vary.
How should you store SYND safely?
You can hold SYND in a self-custody wallet that supports its Ethereum or Base token contract, or use a custodian that explicitly supports SYND on the network you intend to use. Before depositing, check the supported chain and contract address with the service. Do not rely on the ticker alone: incorrect-network transfers or counterfeit tokens can leave you unable to access your funds.
For a self-custody wallet, keep your recovery phrase offline and private. Anyone who gets it may be able to control your tokens, and support staff should never need it. Consider a hardware wallet for longer-term storage if you know how to use it securely, and test a small transfer before moving a larger amount.
If you use a bridge, check the source and destination networks and understand that bridge contracts can be attacked or fail. A wallet can secure your keys, but it cannot protect you from a compromised token contract, a mistaken transfer or a sharp drop in SYND’s market value.
What could go wrong if you hold SYND?
SYND carries several risks beyond the usual volatility of crypto. Its usefulness depends partly on developers building appchains and using Syndicate’s sequencing infrastructure. If adoption or network activity remains limited, demand for SYND as gas may also be limited. Governance rights do not guarantee that holders can prevent losses or that a proposal will benefit every holder.
The token is available across Ethereum and Base, so choosing the wrong network or using an unsafe bridge can put funds at risk. Smart contracts and wallets can contain vulnerabilities, and governance-controlled treasury activity can affect the ecosystem. Check contract addresses carefully and avoid sharing your recovery phrase or signing transactions you do not understand.
SYND has also shown substantial market risk: its price was about $0.0048 on 2026-11-08, and market prices can change sharply. A quoted price does not ensure you can sell at that level, particularly when trading is thin. Only commit funds you can afford to lose, and do not treat past prices or token utility as a promise of future value.
By the numbers
Syndicate in numbers
Syndicate (SYND) is ranked #2,255 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $2.30M and a price of $0.004802 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $4.80M, so roughly 48% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 20.4% over 7 days, down 32.6% over 30 days, down 97.1% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $2.61, set on Sep 18, 2025.
About 478.7M SYND are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (48% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $12.7K, or 0.6% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
SYND has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

SYND FAQs
What is the SYND token used for?
SYND is used to pay for certain operations on Syndicate Network and Commons Chain, and to vote on network governance matters. It is not the standard gas token for ordinary Ethereum or Base transactions.
Is SYND an Ethereum or Base token?
SYND was issued on Ethereum and Base. Syndicate also describes it as the gas token for Syndicate Network and Commons Chain, an L3 that settles on Base.
What is the maximum supply of SYND?
SYND has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. About 478.7 million were circulating as of 2026-11-08; circulating supply can change.
How do I store SYND?
Use a wallet or custodian that supports SYND on the specific network you need. Confirm the token contract and network before depositing or transferring, since ticker symbols alone do not identify a token reliably.
Is SYND risky to hold?
Yes. SYND’s price can move sharply, and a quoted price does not guarantee that you can sell at that price. Bridge, smart-contract, custody and network-adoption risks can also affect holders.
What is the market cap of Syndicate?
As of Nov 8, 2026, Syndicate had a market cap of about $2.30M, ranking #2,255 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of SYND?
Syndicate's all-time high is $2.61, reached on Sep 18, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.004207 (Jun 14, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of SYND?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 478.7M SYND were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1B.
Which blockchains is SYND on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum, Base.
