What does holding BLUR actually give you?

BLUR is the governance token associated with Blur, an NFT marketplace and aggregator. The platform was built to help NFT buyers and sellers compare and trade collections across marketplaces. BLUR’s publicly known role is governance: holders may be able to participate in decisions about the protocol. Holding the token does not, by itself, give you ownership of Blur, a share of marketplace revenue, or a guaranteed right to use a service.

Blur’s website was reported to be shutting down in October 2026, and its current access and service status are unclear. Treat the token and the marketplace as separate things: a token may continue to exist on Ethereum even if a website or related service becomes unavailable. Before relying on any claimed BLUR benefit, check whether the relevant feature is currently operating and whether the proposal or terms are genuine.

Which network is BLUR on, and how much exists?

BLUR is issued on Ethereum and is not the native coin of its own blockchain. You need an Ethereum-compatible wallet to hold or transfer it. Ethereum network fees, commonly called gas, are paid in ETH rather than BLUR; the amount varies with network conditions and the transaction you make.

BLUR has a maximum supply of 3 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 2.93 billion were circulating, with 3 billion total. These figures do not tell you how much is actively available to trade or how concentrated ownership is. Token balances and supply can also change as tokens move between wallets. Check the contract and network carefully before accepting a deposit or transfer, especially if a wallet or exchange presents a similarly named token on another chain.

How can you store BLUR without losing access?

You can store BLUR in a wallet that supports Ethereum tokens, including a compatible software wallet or an Ethereum-capable hardware wallet. For a transfer, make sure the receiving wallet supports the token on Ethereum, then check the network and token contract before sending. A wrong-network transfer can be difficult or impossible to recover.

For meaningful holdings, keep your recovery phrase offline and private. Never share it with anyone claiming to restore a Blur account, verify a wallet, or provide token rewards. A hardware wallet can keep signing keys away from an internet-connected device, but it cannot protect you from approving a malicious transaction or sending BLUR to the wrong address. Test a new destination with a small transfer if appropriate, and keep enough ETH in the wallet to pay Ethereum transaction fees.

What could go wrong if you hold or use BLUR?

BLUR’s main risks are tied to both the token and the marketplace. NFT trading demand can fall sharply, and governance tokens can be volatile; as of 2026-11-08, BLUR was trading near its reported all-time low. That is historical context, not a forecast. Do not treat past trading activity, token rewards, or governance rights as proof of future demand or value.

Blur’s current website access and service status are unclear, and fees and safeguards are not clearly established. If the marketplace is unavailable or changes, that may affect the usefulness of its governance token without stopping BLUR from existing on Ethereum. Crypto transfers are generally irreversible, and fake tokens, phishing attempts, compromised wallets, and harmful contract approvals can lead to losses. Verify token details through trustworthy channels, review each wallet prompt, and do not connect a wallet to a site you cannot authenticate.

Blur (BLUR) is ranked #811 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $20.5M and a price of $0.006991 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($21.0M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 12.6% over 7 days, down 62.7% over 30 days, down 85.7% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $5.02, set on Feb 14, 2023.

About 2.93B BLUR are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 3B (98% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $4.71M, or 23% of its market cap: high turnover.

BLUR has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
