## What does holding BCOIN actually give you?

BCOIN is a tokenized tracker certificate designed to follow the share price of Coinbase Global Inc. It is issued by Backed, not by Coinbase, and is not the same thing as buying Coinbase shares through a stockbroker. Holding BCOIN does not by itself establish that you are a Coinbase shareholder or give you shareholder voting rights.

Backed describes its tokens as structured products backed 1:1 by underlying assets held with Swiss third-party custodians. That backing and the certificate structure matter: your exposure depends on the product’s issuer, custody and legal arrangements as well as on Coinbase’s share price. Backed says BCOIN is intended for eligible cryptocurrency market participants, but it does not sell tokens to U.S. persons or for their benefit. Other jurisdiction restrictions may also apply.

BCOIN is not affiliated with or licensed by Coinbase Global Inc. If you want direct share ownership, compare the legal rights and access conditions of a brokerage account with those of this token before deciding what exposure you want.

## Which chains and wallets can you use?

BCOIN is issued on Polygon, BNB Chain, Gnosis Chain (listed in the token data as xDai), Arbitrum, Avalanche, Ethereum and Base. It is not the native coin of any of these networks; it is a token deployed on them. The token is described as an ERC-20, a widely used token standard, though the exact contract and network must match the BCOIN you intend to receive.

To store it yourself, use a wallet that supports the relevant chain and token standard. Before sending, check the network and token contract against Backed’s official product information. A transfer to the wrong chain or address can be difficult or impossible to recover. Keep enough of that chain’s native coin for transaction fees; BCOIN itself may not pay gas.

A wallet only controls the on-chain token. It does not independently prove your eligibility to hold or redeem the tracker certificate. Backed’s product restrictions apply even if a wallet lets you receive or transfer the token. Do not assume that every exchange or wallet supports deposits, withdrawals or redemptions on every listed chain.

## How much BCOIN exists, and how liquid is it?

The reported circulating and total supply are both about 46,364 BCOIN as of 2026-11-08. No maximum supply is reported. These figures can change as tokens are issued or redeemed, so check a current supply figure before relying on it.

As of 2026-11-08, the reported price was about $139.01 and the market capitalization about $6.4 million. The reported 24-hour trading volume was unavailable. That combination is a reason to check actual order-book depth and the market you plan to use: a quoted price is not a promise that you can buy or sell a meaningful amount at that price. The price can also diverge from Coinbase shares because of trading hours, liquidity, token-market demand and the mechanics of the tracker certificate.

BCOIN has no reported maximum supply, and its supply is not a valuation signal. Do not treat a low token count or market capitalization as evidence that the price must rise. For any transaction, confirm the current price, available liquidity, network and applicable restrictions.

## How can you store BCOIN, and what can go wrong?

Self-custody reduces your reliance on an exchange to hold the token, but it puts the burden of security on you. Use a reputable wallet, secure your recovery phrase offline, and never share it with anyone claiming to provide support. Consider a hardware wallet if it suits your needs, and test any unfamiliar transfer with a small amount first. Confirm the chain and contract address before receiving BCOIN.

There are risks beyond wallet theft. The certificate depends on Backed and the product’s legal, custody and redemption arrangements. A claim of 1:1 backing does not remove issuer, custodian, operational or legal risk. Smart-contract defects, network outages, a compromised wallet, low market liquidity or a gap between the token price and Coinbase’s share price can also affect you. A token transfer may be irreversible.

Backed’s product is restricted by jurisdiction and eligibility. U.S. persons and people acting for their benefit are excluded, and other prohibited jurisdictions may apply. Confirm that you are permitted to hold or transact in BCOIN where you live before acquiring or accepting it.

## What should you check before using BCOIN on-chain?

BCOIN is intended to provide on-chain exposure to the price of Coinbase Global shares, so a practical use is holding that exposure in a compatible crypto wallet or using it in a supported on-chain product. Backed names protocols that use its bTokens, but that does not mean every protocol supports BCOIN or that using one removes the product’s eligibility restrictions.

Before using BCOIN in a lending, trading or liquidity protocol, check whether that specific product accepts this token and chain, what collateral or liquidation rules apply, and whether you can withdraw when you need to. DeFi use adds smart-contract, liquidation and liquidity risks on top of the issuer and tracker risks. Do not assume you can redeem directly with Backed or exchange BCOIN for the underlying shares: check the current product terms and eligibility requirements.

If you only want to track Coinbase’s stock price, compare the token’s terms, trading hours and available liquidity with other ways of getting that exposure. BCOIN does not guarantee a return, and its price can fall.
