Owning ARPA: Uses, Networks and Risks

ARPA is the token associated with ARPA Network, a decentralized secure-computation project. The network’s threshold BLS signature technology is designed to support verifiable random-number generation, secure wallets, cross-chain bridges and decentralized custody. Randcast is its randomness application, intended for uses such as games, NFT minting, lotteries and validator task distribution.

Project descriptions and market listings also associate ARPA with network participation, including staking, service fees and node incentives. Those uses depend on the network and the services you interact with; holding ARPA alone does not give you access to every application or guarantee rewards. Check the specific application’s current requirements before sending tokens or staking them. ARPA does not represent ownership in a company, and its price can move independently of whether the network’s services are being used.

ARPA is issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon; it is not listed as the native token of any of those chains. If you hold it, use a wallet that supports both ARPA and the network on which your tokens are held. A token sent to an address on the wrong network may be difficult or impossible to recover.

Before transferring ARPA, check the receiving service’s supported network and confirm the token contract address through ARPA’s official project channels. Do not assume that a wallet showing ARPA on one chain can automatically receive it on another. If you use a centralized exchange, check its deposit and withdrawal network options first. For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase offline and never share it with anyone claiming to provide support. A token balance shown in a wallet is not proof that a transaction used the correct network or contract.

ARPA has a maximum supply of 2 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-08, about 1.743 billion were circulating and total supply was about 2 billion. The difference between circulating and maximum supply does not, by itself, tell you when or how any remaining tokens might enter circulation.

On that date, ARPA traded at about $0.0094, with a market capitalization of about $16.4 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $18.8 million. These are snapshots, not stable values: price and market measures can change quickly, and a quoted market price may not be available for a large trade at the same level. ARPA was well below its recorded all-time high of about $0.269 on 2021-11-03. Past prices do not indicate what it will be worth later.

ARPA carries the risks of a volatile crypto asset and a developing network. Its value may fall sharply, and demand for the token may not track use of Randcast or other ARPA Network services. Technical faults, software vulnerabilities or problems with a bridge or application can also lead to loss. Randomness and cryptographic systems are designed to reduce manipulation, but no design removes every implementation or operational risk.

If you hold ARPA in a self-custody wallet, protect your recovery phrase and private keys: anyone who obtains them can control your tokens. Test a small transfer when using an unfamiliar network or address, and verify the network before confirming. If you stake or use ARPA in a service, check the lock-up, withdrawal conditions and possible penalties before committing funds. Only risk an amount you can afford to lose, and do not treat past price changes as a forecast.
