What can you use AEUR for?

AEUR is a euro-linked stablecoin from Anchored Coins. The issuer says each token is backed one-to-one by reserves held exclusively with Swiss FINMA-licensed banks. That is the issuer’s backing claim; it does not mean AEUR is a bank deposit or that you have the same protections as a bank customer. The token is intended to give you a euro-denominated asset you can hold and transfer on supported blockchains.

You might use AEUR to move value between compatible wallets or to trade against other crypto assets without first converting to a conventional currency. Whether you can use it for a particular payment or trading pair depends on the service accepting it. A stablecoin’s target is not a guaranteed market price: demand, liquidity, exchange access and confidence in redemption can all affect what buyers will pay.

As of 2026-07-31, AEUR was listed at about $1.14, with a reported market capitalization of about $1.1 million. A USD quote is not directly comparable to the euro peg because exchange rates move. Check the live AEUR-to-euro price and available liquidity before relying on it as cash-like value.

Which chains and wallets support AEUR?

Anchored Coins says AEUR is issued natively on Ethereum and BNB Chain. These are separate networks: an AEUR token on one chain is not automatically the same transfer destination as AEUR on the other. Choose the network supported by both your wallet and the service receiving the tokens, and confirm it before sending.

You can store AEUR in a wallet that supports the relevant Ethereum or BNB Chain token standard. Many EVM-compatible software and hardware wallets can hold tokens on these networks, but support varies by wallet and by token contract. Confirm the official contract address through Anchored Coins’ own channels before adding a token; a familiar name or ticker alone does not prove that a token is genuine.

Keep enough of the network’s native asset to pay transaction fees: typically ETH on Ethereum or BNB on BNB Chain. Those fees are separate from AEUR and can vary with network conditions. For safer self-custody, protect your recovery phrase offline, never share it, and test a small transfer if you are unsure about the address or network. A mistaken network or address can make a transfer difficult or impossible to recover.

Does AEUR’s reserve claim guarantee a euro?

The issuer says AEUR is backed one-to-one by reserves held exclusively with Swiss FINMA-licensed banks. Anchored Coins also describes itself as a member of the Swiss self-regulatory organization VQF. These statements tell you how the issuer describes its reserve and regulatory arrangements, but they are not a guarantee that you can redeem a token immediately or at par in every situation.

Before treating AEUR as a substitute for euros, check who is eligible to redeem directly, what minimums or fees apply, how redemption works, and how long it may take. Anchored Coins does not publish those redemption terms or fees in the project description. It also does not identify an independent reserve audit there. That leaves important questions for a holder to verify before relying on the backing claim.

A one-euro target can still diverge from the market price. If you plan to convert a significant amount, check the current euro price, order-book depth and withdrawal options on the service you intend to use. A quoted price alone does not show how much you can sell or redeem at that rate.

How many AEUR tokens are in circulation?

The reported supply figures do not agree: the circulating supply is listed as 983,181.76 AEUR, while total supply is listed as 37,310.96 AEUR. Circulating supply normally cannot exceed total supply, so these figures should not be treated as a reliable account of how many tokens exist. No maximum supply is listed.

This matters because supply figures can affect your understanding of market size and token distribution. Before making a decision based on them, check the token contracts on Ethereum and BNB Chain and look for current issuance and burn information from the issuer. Do not assume the conflicting figures describe the same chain or use the same measurement without confirmation.

AEUR’s reported market capitalization was about $1.1 million as of 2026-07-31, but the reported 24-hour trading volume was unavailable. Small or unclear market activity can make it harder to exchange a larger amount near the displayed price. Treat market-cap and supply data as estimates until the issuer clarifies the discrepancy.

What could go wrong when you hold AEUR?

AEUR combines several risks. Its euro target depends on confidence in the issuer, the reserve arrangement, and the ability to trade or redeem tokens. If that confidence weakens or liquidity dries up, AEUR could trade below one euro. The issuer’s reserve statement does not remove counterparty, banking or regulatory risk.

There are also blockchain risks. A wallet compromise, phishing message, faulty token contract, network outage or transfer to the wrong address can cause loss. Self-custody gives you control of your keys, but also makes you responsible for protecting them. On a hosted exchange or wallet, you rely on that company’s security, solvency and withdrawal access.

Before holding AEUR, consider whether you need a euro-linked token, whether you can access a liquid market or redemption route, and whether you can tolerate losing access to the funds. Verify the chain and contract, use a secure wallet, and avoid keeping more on an exchange than you need for trading. Do not mistake a stablecoin’s intended peg for a guarantee of value or immediate convertibility.
