Quick take
XORA may suit XRP holders who accept custody risk and variable returns, but its 22% headline is not 22% paid in XRP. The advertised value combines 15% XRP yield with a 7% estimated XORA reward value; XORA says the token is not yet tradable. There is no fixed lock-up, but withdrawals can face manual review or treasury controls. Before depositing, verify the current rate and understand that XORA is not a bank and has no funded depositor reserve.

Who XORA suits
Good for
- XRP holders willing to use a custodial service for variable daily yield
- Users who can accept that part of the advertised return is an estimated token reward
- Small XRP savers who understand that very small daily payouts may be skipped
Not for
- People who want to keep full control of their XRP in a self-custody wallet
- Anyone who needs a guaranteed, fixed return or insured bank deposits
- Users who need immediate, unconditional withdrawals, since reviews or treasury holds can delay or block releases
- People who want yield paid entirely in a liquid, established asset
What return does XORA actually offer?
XORA is a custodial savings service built around XRP on the XRP Ledger. You deposit XRP to an account address with a required destination tag, and XORA says daily yield starts automatically without a staking transaction or fixed lock-up. The service describes the funds as held in a custodial XRPL account and says yield comes from a single treasury wallet. Its website also displays other deposit assets, including RLUSD, BTC, XLM and TRX, but the clearest live yield details are for XRP; it describes TRX as a pilot where enabled in-app.
The headline is “up to 22% APY value” for the first balance tier, up to 1,000 XRP. That figure combines 15% XRP yield with a 7% estimated XORA reward value. Higher XRP balances are assigned lower stated tiers of 19%, 17% or 15%; XORA holdings do not determine the APY tier. The XORA reward token is not tradable yet, so its estimated value should not be treated as cash or as a guaranteed return. Rates are variable, and the native XRP yield is currently treasury-subsidised.
What can reduce the value of XORA’s yield?
XORA does not publish a complete deposit and withdrawal fee schedule. Its swap screen says Trocador fees apply to swaps, so swapping through that feature can cost you even if you only intend to hold XRP. On-chain XRP transfers also use the XRP Ledger’s network fee, which is separate from any service charge. Check the amount and any fee shown before confirming a transaction.
The larger cost question is the return itself. The 22% headline is an APY value, not a promise that you receive 22% more XRP: the stated split is 15% XRP yield plus an estimated 7% XORA reward value. XORA says rewards accrue in tokens, and that the token is not yet tradable; its internal reward estimate is not a market price or guaranteed cash return. The rate can change, and the XRP yield is treasury-subsidised. Daily payouts below 0.001 XRP are skipped, so very small balances may not receive a daily payout. Treat any projected total as an estimate, not a fixed amount you can withdraw.
How much protection do you have if XORA holds your XRP?
You give XORA custody of the XRP you deposit, so this is not a self-custody staking setup. XORA describes an XRPL-native custodial account, public on-chain reserve signals and internal ledger reconciliation. It also lists operational controls such as restricted signing access, anomaly monitoring, circuit breakers and daily reconciliation. These safeguards may reduce operational risks, but they do not remove the possibility of loss or a delayed withdrawal.
XORA says it is not a chartered bank. Its planned depositor-reserve buffer is not funded or live, and it is not government deposit insurance. No independent audit is listed, and enhanced signing controls, additional independent custody attestations and expanded third-party security reviews are described as roadmap items. The product therefore asks you to trust its custody and treasury operations without the reassurance of a live funded reserve or published independent audit. Only deposit funds you can afford to have inaccessible or lose, and consider testing the deposit and withdrawal process with a small amount first.
How do you deposit and get your XRP back?
To start, XORA offers sign-in with a passkey, Google, email or wallet. After signing in, it says it provides an XRP deposit address and destination tag. You must include that tag when sending XRP; XORA warns that a deposit without it may not credit automatically. Confirm both the address and tag in your account before sending, and use a small test transfer if you are new to the service.
XORA says yield accrues automatically on eligible XRP balances, with no separate opt-in or staking transaction. It also says there is no qualifying minimum deposit, but payouts under 0.001 XRP are skipped; at the first tier it estimates balances below about 2.61 XRP may earn too little to receive a payout. Withdrawals are initiated from the account and sent on XRPL once released. XORA expects settlement in three to five seconds after release, but large withdrawals and some first withdrawals to a new address may undergo manual review. The service describes a mobile banking experience, but confirm what app or interface is currently available before transferring funds.
What should you check before choosing XORA?
The main trade-off is that XORA combines custody with an advertised yield whose headline includes an estimated token reward. You do not control the treasury wallet, and the service’s own description allows account, treasury and risk controls to delay or block withdrawal releases. No fixed lock-up does not mean every withdrawal is immediate or unconditional.
The XORA token is not tradable yet, and planned features such as card tiers, governance and other holder perks are not live products. Do not count future perks or the token’s internal estimated value as current benefits. XORA also does not publish a full fee schedule, and no independent audit is listed. This makes it harder to compare the actual net return and assess the controls than it would be with a product that publishes independent assurance, complete fees and a liquid reward asset. If you proceed, check the live terms and rate in your account, start small, and keep funds needed for near-term spending elsewhere.
5 steps
How to start with XORA
- 1
Check that using a crypto savings service is appropriate for you and that you can accept XORA custody, variable yield and the possibility of delayed or blocked withdrawals.
- 2
Create an account using a sign-in method XORA supports, then review the current rate, reward split and any applicable account requirements before funding it.
- 3
Copy the XRP address and required destination tag from your account. Verify both carefully; do not send XRP without the tag.
- 4
Consider sending a small test amount first and confirm it appears in your XORA balance before depositing more.
- 5
Review any fees shown, then test a small withdrawal so you understand the release process and possible manual review before relying on XORA for funds you may need quickly.
XORA FAQs
Is XORA’s 22% APY paid in XRP?
The advertised 22% APY value combines 15% XRP yield with a 7% estimated value for XORA rewards at the first balance tier. The reward estimate is not a market price or guaranteed cash return, and XORA says rates can change. Higher XRP balances have lower stated tiers of 19%, 17% and 15%.
Can you withdraw XRP from XORA at any time?
XORA says there is no fixed lock-up and withdrawals are available on demand. Once a withdrawal is released, it is broadcast to the XRP Ledger and is expected to settle in seconds, but large withdrawals and some first withdrawals to a new address can require manual review. Reviews or treasury holds can delay or block a release.
Is XORA non-custodial or insured?
No. XORA says it holds funds in custody, and describes a custodial XRPL account architecture. You rely on XORA to control and release the XRP; the service is not a chartered bank, and its planned depositor reserve is not funded or government deposit insurance.
Does an XORA XRP deposit need a destination tag?
XORA requires a destination tag when you deposit XRP to your account address. It warns that XRP sent without the tag may not credit automatically. Check the address and tag shown in your account before confirming a transfer.
What fees does XORA charge?
XORA does not publish a deposit or withdrawal fee schedule in its product information. Its swap screen says Trocador fees apply to swaps; separate XRPL network fees may also apply when transactions are sent on-chain. Check the amount and any displayed charges before confirming.
