Thesauros Review: Is Its Stablecoin Yield Worth Using?

Thesauros supplies stablecoin vaults and lending connections for fintechs, wallets and platforms. Its published fee and security controls are useful, but check which app and withdrawal terms you would actually use before depositing.

SkyBitcoins rating

Quick take

Thesauros is best suited to fintechs, wallets and platforms that want to add stablecoin lending yield without building vault infrastructure themselves. Deposits earn variable returns through lending markets, with a stated 25% fee on yield and public security reviews. Before depositing, check that your chosen app supports the right chain and asset, and read its withdrawal and custody terms: liquidity can affect when you can redeem.

Is it for you?

Who Thesauros suits

Good for

  • Fintechs and neobanks adding a stablecoin Earn balance to an existing account
  • Wallets and crypto platforms looking to offer lending yield through an integration
  • Stablecoin users who can access a Thesauros-powered vault and understand variable lending returns

Not for

  • People seeking a simple, direct retail savings account: Thesauros is primarily infrastructure for businesses to integrate into their own apps.
  • Anyone who needs guaranteed returns or instant access: yields vary, and withdrawals depend on liquidity, network conditions and vault controls.
  • Users who require a published licence, KYC policy or full public team details before depositing: Thesauros does not publish those details on its product pages.

What can you actually do with Thesauros?

Thesauros is not just a standalone savings account: it provides the vaults and lending connections that fintechs, neobanks, wallets and crypto platforms can put inside their own products. A business supplies the customer-facing interface; Thesauros runs the vault infrastructure and allocates deposits among approved lending markets. The project names Aave, Compound and Morpho vaults, as well as Steakhouse and Gauntlet vaults, among the venues it uses. Interest comes from lending activity, so returns change with borrowing demand and market conditions and are not guaranteed.

The project lists Arbitrum, Base, Monad and Plasma. That does not mean every asset or lending venue is available on every chain, so check the exact vault and network in the app you intend to use. Thesauros also describes an app and an institution-facing product, but its core proposition is business integration. If you are an individual user, confirm that a service you already use offers a Thesauros-powered Earn product before planning a deposit.

How much of your stablecoin yield does Thesauros take?

Thesauros states that it charges a 25% performance fee on yield generated. It says there is no setup fee, management fee or fee on principal, and that nothing is charged if the vault earns nothing. That is a share of returns, not a fixed annual percentage of your deposit; the underlying lending rate itself moves over time.

For integrations, the standard partner share is 30% of the performance fee, or 7.5% of gross yield. The project describes a temporary incentive of up to 50% through the first 60 days after TGE and a planned post-TGE Yield Booster of up to 80% through token bonding. Those arrangements are partner economics, not a guaranteed extra return for depositors. Thesauros has no token listed, and the published incentive language is conditional on TGE and applicable agreements. Before using a vault, check the fee shown by the product you use and its terms; a partner’s arrangement may affect the overall product economics.

What safeguards protect Thesauros deposits—and what remains risky?

The security model has some useful constraints. Thesauros says the executor can move assets only between whitelisted lending markets and that no key can withdraw customer funds; withdrawals are made by the share owner or with their approval. Proposed whitelist changes are timelocked, and deposits and withdrawals have separate pause controls. Customer positions are represented by ERC-4626 vault shares that can be read onchain.

Thesauros reports two public security reviews by Hexens, dated October 2025 and July 2026, and says medium- and low-severity findings were fixed. A review is not a guarantee that contracts cannot fail, and lending venues add their own smart-contract, liquidity and market risks. Thesauros does not publish a licence or a platform-wide KYC policy on its product pages; requirements may depend on the partner service you use. Treat the vault as an onchain investment, not a bank deposit or guaranteed account balance.

Can you get your stablecoins back when you need them?

When you deposit, your stablecoins go into vault contracts and are allocated to lending markets. The vault shares representing your position are held either by your wallet or through the custody setup used by the integrated product. That means the user experience and custody arrangement can differ between a self-custody wallet and a fintech or platform that holds assets for customers.

You redeem vault shares under the relevant vault’s rules. Thesauros says withdrawals depend on available underlying liquidity and can be affected by market conditions, network congestion and protocol controls. Lending positions are not the same as cash held ready for instant payment, so a request may not settle as quickly as a normal transfer. The project does not publish universal withdrawal limits or a single settlement-time promise for every vault. Before depositing, find out who controls your wallet or account, how redemption requests are handled, and whether the specific lending markets have enough liquidity for your intended withdrawal.

What is using a Thesauros-powered product like?

For a business, Thesauros describes a single integration connecting the customer interface to its vaults and lending markets. It says allocations can change as rates move without requiring the partner to change the integration. The customer can see a balance and activity in the partner’s interface, while positions are represented onchain. That can simplify a product build, but it also means your experience depends on the integrating business: its app, support, custody arrangements and customer terms matter alongside Thesauros.

For an individual, do not assume there is an open retail account with the same setup everywhere. Check that the provider names the Thesauros vault, the stablecoin and the chain, and confirm you can inspect the share contract and transaction details. Thesauros does not publish a universal mobile-app or sign-up process; the route to use it is through the relevant app or a business integration. Network fees may also apply to onchain actions, depending on the chain and transaction.

Who should look elsewhere before using Thesauros?

The clearest fit is a company that wants to add stablecoin yield inside a product customers already use. If you are an individual, Thesauros may be one layer behind an Earn feature rather than a destination you sign up to directly. That distinction matters: fees, identity checks, custody and customer support can depend on the integrating app, and the project does not publish one set of retail terms covering every partner.

Other gaps are worth weighing before you commit funds. Returns are variable, and lending-market liquidity can delay redemptions. Public security reviews and timelocked market changes are positive transparency measures, but they cannot remove contract or market risk. The project does not publish a licence or a platform-wide KYC rule on its product pages. If those points are decisive for you, or you need guaranteed returns and immediate withdrawals, a different product may be a better fit. Never deposit money you cannot afford to have exposed to these risks.

4 steps

How to start with Thesauros

  1. 1

If you are an individual, find an app that explicitly offers a Thesauros-powered vault; if you are integrating the service, contact the team and request the architecture, permissions and commercial terms.

  2. 2

Confirm the stablecoin, vault and supported chain in the exact product you will use. Do not assume every listed chain has the same markets or withdrawal liquidity.

  3. 3

Read the app’s custody, KYC, fee and redemption terms, including who holds your vault shares and how withdrawal requests are processed.

  4. 4

Review the vault’s onchain position and security information, then start only with an amount you can afford to expose to smart-contract, lending and liquidity risks.

Thesauros FAQs

What is Thesauros?

Thesauros provides vaults and lending connections that businesses can integrate into a stablecoin Earn product. Deposits are allocated among approved lending markets, including Aave, Compound and Morpho vaults.

What fees does Thesauros charge?

The stated fee is 25% of yield earned, with no fee on principal, management fee or setup fee. The standard partner share is 30% of the performance fee, equivalent to 7.5% of gross yield; your actual product terms may depend on the integration agreement.

Is Thesauros non-custodial?

The project describes its vaults as non-custodial: funds sit in vault contracts and lending markets, while the customer or their custody setup holds the vault shares. Its executor can move assets only between whitelisted markets, not withdraw customer funds.

Can you withdraw from Thesauros vaults?

Thesauros says users can redeem shares under each vault’s rules and subject to available liquidity. Market conditions, network congestion and protocol controls can affect withdrawals, so access may not be immediate.

Which chains does Thesauros support?

Thesauros lists Arbitrum, Base, Monad and Plasma. Confirm the specific chain, stablecoin and vault supported by the app or integration you plan to use before sending funds.
