TeleSwap Review: Should You Use Its Bitcoin Bridge?

TeleSwap offers cross-chain swaps and Bitcoin bridging, but reports of a 2026 exploit make it important to verify the current security and withdrawal status before using it.

Quick take

TeleSwap may suit experienced users who want to swap Bitcoin and other assets across chains from a wallet, without creating an account. Its proposed light-client and collateralized-Locker design is intended to reduce reliance on trusted intermediaries. But reports in July 2026 described a roughly $735,000 attack, while detailed audit and fee information is not published. Check current protocol status and the exact quote before sending funds.

  • Users comparing native BTC routes with wrapped-Bitcoin alternatives
  • People comfortable checking transaction quotes and protocol status before bridging

Not for

  • Users who need a clearly documented audit history or current incident disclosures before depositing
  • Beginners who are not comfortable checking routes, fees and receiving addresses
  • Anyone seeking a published fee schedule or guaranteed transfer times

What can you bridge or swap with TeleSwap?

TeleSwap is a cross-chain bridge and swap service focused on Bitcoin. It says you can swap between native BTC and assets including USDT, USDC and ETH, moving between Bitcoin and supported networks. Its homepage lists Ethereum, Solana, TON, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Optimism and BNB Smart Chain alongside Bitcoin, and promotes access through wallets and aggregators such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rango and Rubic.

The network lists are not fully consistent: the homepage names these routes and claims 13 supported networks, while other project listings show a smaller set. Check the actual route selector before assuming a particular chain or asset is supported. TeleSwap also describes its service as non-custodial and says users can bridge without signing up. That does not remove smart-contract, bridge or transaction risks.

The project claims native BTC can reach your wallet in under two minutes. Treat this as a target, not a promise; timing can depend on the route, network conditions and Bitcoin confirmations. Check the destination address and asset carefully before approving a transfer.

What will a TeleSwap transaction cost?

TeleSwap does not publish a detailed fee schedule in the information reviewed here. Its homepage says bridge fees are a fraction of what centralized exchanges charge, but that comparison is not enough to estimate what your transaction will cost. The total can include a protocol fee, a swap price difference and network fees on the sending and receiving chains. For native Bitcoin, Bitcoin network fees may also affect the route.

Before confirming, inspect the transaction quote for the amount you will receive, the asset and chain being delivered, and any fee or minimum shown. Compare the quoted output with the amount you expect from the input; a displayed quote can change before execution, particularly when liquidity or network conditions shift. Do not rely on a general claim of low fees or on the homepage’s volume figures to predict your own cost.

TeleSwap lists TST as its token, but the project information here does not explain whether holding it affects fees or access. Do not assume a token discount or benefit without checking the current terms in the app.

Can you trust TeleSwap with funds after the 2026 reports?

TeleSwap describes a design using Bitcoin light-client verification and collateralized Lockers. It says Locker collateral is worth more than the BTC held and can be slashed if a Locker misbehaves. That is the project’s stated security model; it does not by itself establish that every route is safe or that users will always recover funds after a failure.

Two audits are listed, but TeleSwap does not identify the auditors, dates, audited components or findings in the information reviewed here. Reports published on July 20, 2026 described a vulnerability attack on TeleSwap on July 15, with losses reported at about $735,000. Those reports also said the team had not publicly disclosed the incident five days later. Treat the report as a serious warning and verify the protocol’s current incident response, affected routes and recovery status before connecting or sending assets.

A bridge can expose funds to contract, verification, liquidity and operational risks. Avoid sending an amount you cannot afford to lose, and do not interpret the project’s claims of trustlessness or audit status as a guarantee.

How do you use TeleSwap without taking avoidable risks?

TeleSwap says there is no account or KYC requirement and promotes use through connected wallets, including MetaMask and Trust Wallet, plus aggregators. In practice, you need a wallet that supports the sending network and enough of the relevant native token to pay network costs. Check that the route is available for your specific asset and destination before you start; the project’s network lists differ across descriptions.

A typical bridge flow is to connect a wallet, select the source and destination networks and assets, enter an amount, review the quote, then approve and submit the transaction. Use only the official TeleSwap interface, confirm the domain yourself, and verify the destination address and chain before signing. Wallet approvals can grant contract permissions, so review what you are authorizing and revoke unused approvals where appropriate.

The site claims transfers can complete in under two minutes, but actual completion may take longer. Keep the transaction ID and check its status on the relevant chain explorers rather than repeating a transfer because it appears delayed.

Who should choose a different Bitcoin bridge?

TeleSwap’s main appeal is the ability to move between native Bitcoin and assets on other networks from a wallet, without a conventional exchange account. Its stated light-client and Locker model is designed to avoid relying on centralized validators, and integrations may make the service accessible from more than one wallet or aggregator.

The trade-offs are material. The published fee information is too limited to compare routes in advance, the audits are not identified with scope or findings, and the supported-network lists do not align across descriptions. Most importantly, reports in July 2026 described a substantial exploit. Until TeleSwap clearly explains what happened, which routes were affected and what protections or fixes are in place, the security uncertainty outweighs convenience for many users.

If you need independently documented safeguards, predictable fees or a clearly explained incident record, choose a bridge that publishes those details. If you still consider TeleSwap, start only after confirming current functionality and incident status, and test with a small amount rather than moving your full balance.

5 steps

How to start with TeleSwap

  1. 1

Confirm TeleSwap’s current status and any incident updates before connecting a wallet.

  2. 2

Check that your exact source asset, destination asset and networks are available in the route selector.

  3. 3

Use a wallet you control, verify the official site address, and review each requested permission.

  4. 4

Compare the quoted receive amount and fees; check the destination address and chain before signing.

  5. 5

If you proceed, start with a small transfer and wait for confirmation before moving more.

TeleSwap FAQs

Is TeleSwap safe to use?

TeleSwap says it uses Bitcoin light-client verification and collateralized Lockers, rather than centralized validators. It also claims two audits, but does not name them or publish their scope in the information reviewed here. Reports in July 2026 described an attack; confirm the protocol’s current status before sending funds.

What can you do with TeleSwap?

TeleSwap advertises swaps between native BTC and assets such as USDT, USDC and ETH across supported networks. Its homepage says native BTC can arrive in under two minutes, but that is a project claim, not a guaranteed delivery time.

How much does TeleSwap charge?

TeleSwap does not publish a fee schedule in the information reviewed here. Its homepage describes fees as a fraction of what centralized exchanges charge, but you should check the quote for network fees and any bridge or swap charges before confirming.

Does TeleSwap require KYC?

TeleSwap says you can connect a wallet without creating an account or completing KYC. You still need a compatible wallet and enough funds for the transaction and network costs. Check that the feature and networks you need are currently available before connecting.
