Who Solrecover suits

Good for

  • Solana users with empty token accounts and rent to reclaim
  • People who want a wallet-based interface instead of using the Solana CLI
  • Users whose wallets are supported and who are comfortable reviewing transactions before signing

Not for

  • Users whose accounts still contain tokens, since SolRecover says it only closes zero-balance accounts
  • Anyone seeking a free visual recovery service; SolRecover charges 1.9%, though the Solana CLI is a no-service-fee option
  • People who cannot inspect and approve wallet transactions themselves

What can you recover with SolRecover?

SolRecover finds empty Solana token accounts and helps you close them to recover the SOL rent deposit locked in each account. You connect a Solana wallet, scan for eligible accounts, review the proposed recovery and sign the transaction in your wallet. The site says it only closes accounts with zero token balances, so accounts still holding tokens should not be part of the recovery.

Closures are batched, with up to 20 accounts per transaction; larger recoveries may require multiple transactions. SolRecover says it supports Token-2022 accounts, but its interface warns that Token-2022 scanning may be unavailable and some accounts may not appear. Treat the scan as potentially incomplete if that warning appears. This is a rent-recovery tool, not a token swap or a way to recover assets from accounts with balances.

What will SolRecover cost you?

SolRecover charges a flat 1.9% of the SOL recovered. The fee is taken in the same transaction, and the site says 98.1% goes to your wallet. If you arrive through a referral, the referrer receives 1% of the recovery while the total fee remains 1.9%; the remaining 0.9% is the platform share. Referral earnings do not add a separate charge for you.

The interface quotes network gas at about 0.000005 SOL, but blockchain transaction fees can vary. You need enough SOL in your wallet to cover the network fee. SolRecover says scanning is free and charges only when you recover. If you are comfortable using command-line tools, its site points to the Solana CLI as a way to close accounts without a service fee; you still pay network fees. Compare the service fee with the amount you expect to reclaim before approving.

How much should you trust SolRecover with a wallet connection?

SolRecover says it does not hold your keys or take custody of funds: it describes scanning as read-only, transaction building as client-side, and signing as something you do through your own wallet. It also displays the fee recipient in the transaction so you can check where the service charge goes. Those are useful safeguards, but they do not establish that the app’s code or transaction construction has been independently verified.

SolRecover does not publish an audit in the details on its site, and its team and licensing information are not disclosed there. Treat the dapp like any wallet-connected app: use the official app address you intended to visit, inspect the account closures, fee amount and recipient in your wallet, and reject a transaction you do not understand. Never enter a seed phrase into a website. The transaction is on-chain, but on-chain visibility alone is not a security audit.

Will your wallet and token accounts work?

The site lists Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Coinbase and Bitget, among other wallet options, and says Ledger hardware wallets are supported. It does not require an account or a SolRecover token. The described flow is to connect, scan, review and approve in your wallet. SolRecover says it builds transactions locally, but you should still rely on the wallet’s own signing prompt to see what you are authorizing.

The service groups up to 20 account closures into one transaction and can split larger recoveries across transactions. Its scan screen may show a warning that Token-2022 scanning is unavailable, in which case eligible accounts could be missed. The site does not provide a clear mobile-app specification, so check whether your wallet’s in-app browser or connection method works before starting a large recovery. Keep enough SOL for gas, and do not mistake the displayed recovery estimate for a guaranteed final amount.

Is the convenience worth the 1.9% fee?

SolRecover is most useful if you value a graphical, wallet-connected process and are happy to pay 1.9% for it. The main trade-off is straightforward: you save the effort of using command-line tools, but give up part of the recovered rent as a service fee. The project’s own site describes the Solana CLI as a free service-fee alternative, which may suit users comfortable following command-line instructions.

Before connecting, confirm that you are using the intended SolRecover app and that your wallet is supported. After scanning, check which accounts are selected and whether the Token-2022 warning applies. In the signing prompt, verify the number of closures, fee and recipient, and expected return; cancel if they do not match what you reviewed. Do not sign simply because a tool describes a transaction as safe or routine.

Solrecover FAQs

What does SolRecover do?

Solana token accounts hold tokens and require SOL to remain open. When an account has a zero token balance, closing it returns its rent deposit to your wallet, less SolRecover’s fee if you use the service.

How much does SolRecover charge?

SolRecover charges 1.9% of the recovered SOL, taken as part of the recovery transaction. The tool also quotes network gas of about 0.000005 SOL, but actual network fees can vary.

Is SolRecover safe to use?

SolRecover says scans are read-only and that transactions are built locally and signed in your wallet, so it does not take custody of your keys. That is the project’s description, not an independent security verification; check the transaction details in your wallet before signing.

Which wallets does SolRecover support?

The site lists Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Coinbase, Bitget, Ledger and other Solana wallets. It also says it can batch account closures, up to 20 accounts per transaction.

Does SolRecover scan Token-2022 accounts?

SolRecover says it supports Token-2022 accounts, but its scan interface also warns that Token-2022 scanning may be unavailable and some accounts might not appear. Check the scan status and do not assume it found every eligible account.
