Quick take

OpenEden’s TBILL Vault may suit eligible Professional Investors who want tokenized exposure to short-dated U.S. Treasury bills. Its page lists a 0% transaction fee and expense ratio, but access is restricted and the fund token is not the same as EDEN. Before applying or sending funds, confirm eligibility, redemption terms, supported networks and the fund’s current disclosures; Treasury exposure still carries risks.

What do you actually get with OpenEden TBILL?

OpenEden’s TBILL Vault is designed to give eligible customers tokenized exposure to a portfolio of short-dated U.S. Treasury bills. The fund issues TBILL tokens, and the vault describes minting and redemption as ways to enter or exit. OpenEden says the fund is bankruptcy remote and that licensed fund managers manage its underlying portfolio. The page also describes 24/7 liquidity, but that does not by itself establish that every holder can redeem at any time or that redemptions settle instantly.

Do not confuse TBILL with EDEN. TBILL is the token associated with the Treasury-bill fund; the vault page does not explain what rights, if any, EDEN holders have in relation to TBILL or the fund. Treat them as separate assets unless the applicable terms explicitly say otherwise. This is a fund product, not a bank deposit or a direct holding of Treasury bills in your own name. Read the fund documents to understand who can hold tokens and what claim a token gives you.

Are OpenEden’s stated fees the whole cost?

The vault lists a 0% transaction fee and a 0% expense ratio. That is a useful headline, but it should not be taken to mean every part of using the product is free. The page does not provide a complete schedule of possible subscription, redemption, transfer or third-party charges. Blockchain network fees may also apply when moving tokens, depending on the network and transaction.

The yield is linked to Treasury-bill exposure, so it can change as the portfolio and market rates change; it is not a fixed rate promised by the vault. The page shows a 7-day yield field, but it displays a dash rather than a current figure. Check the live product information and the fund’s terms before applying, and ask which costs are charged by the fund versus costs paid to a wallet provider or network. Compare the net amount you would receive after any applicable costs, not only the advertised fee lines.

How much protection does the fund structure provide?

There are some structural details to assess: TBILL tokens are issued by Treasury Bills Institutional Liquidity Limited, described as a BVI-regulated professional fund, and OpenEden says the underlying portfolio is managed by licensed fund managers. OpenEden also identifies a Bermuda-licensed digital-asset business within its group. These statements do not mean every OpenEden product has the same regulatory status, or that a regulator guarantees your investment.

The vault page does not publish a smart-contract audit, a custody arrangement, an incident history or a full account of how fund assets and token-holder claims are protected. Nor should “bankruptcy remote” be read as eliminating all insolvency or legal risk. U.S. Treasury bills have credit and market characteristics distinct from crypto assets, but tokenization adds risks involving the issuer, fund operations, custody, blockchain contracts and redemption access. Read the current offering documents and terms, including the legal entity responsible for your account, before committing funds.

Who can use the vault, and what does access involve?

The product is not open to every crypto user. TBILL tokens are stated to be available only to Professional Investors as defined under the BVI Securities and Investment Business Act, and only to eligible customers under the applicable terms. OpenEden says availability can also depend on where you live and other eligibility requirements. The fund is not registered or approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and the page says it is not licensed to provide payment services under Singapore’s Payments Services Act or similar rules elsewhere.

The vault page includes a connect option and a dashboard, but does not name supported networks or wallets. It also does not give a detailed redemption timetable or limits. So you cannot assume that a token held in any wallet or on any chain will be accepted, or that a redemption will be immediate. Confirm the supported wallet, network, funding asset and withdrawal process directly through the official product flow and current terms before transferring anything.

What should you check before putting money in?

Treat OpenEden as a regulated-fund product with crypto rails, not as a simple stablecoin savings account. Treasury bills may be relatively low risk compared with many crypto assets, but returns are not guaranteed and the token adds legal, operational, custody and smart-contract considerations. Liquidity claims also need to be checked against the redemption terms: the vault’s 24/7 description does not tell you whether all customers can redeem around the clock, what limits apply or how long settlement takes.

Before applying, establish that you meet the Professional Investor definition and are allowed to use the product where you live. Read the fund’s offering documents and terms, verify who issues your tokens and what they entitle you to, and check the current network, wallet, fees and redemption procedure. If you cannot confirm the exact receiving address and supported asset in the official interface, do not send funds. Consider getting independent legal or tax advice if the product’s treatment in your jurisdiction is unclear.

4 steps

How to start with Openeden

  1. 1

Confirm that you qualify as a Professional Investor under the fund’s rules and that the product is available in your jurisdiction.

  2. 2

Read the current TBILL Fund terms and offering documents, including token-holder rights, redemption timing, limits and any charges beyond the listed fee lines.

  3. 3

Verify the exact supported wallet, network and funding asset in OpenEden’s official product flow; the vault page does not name them.

  4. 4

Only proceed after checking the issuer and receiving address, and keep your own records of subscriptions and redemptions.

Openeden FAQs

Can anyone buy OpenEden TBILL tokens?

No. The TBILL Fund says its tokens are available only to eligible customers who qualify as Professional Investors under the BVI Securities and Investment Business Act. Your jurisdiction and the fund’s terms may impose additional restrictions.

What fees does OpenEden charge for TBILL?

The vault lists a 0% transaction fee and 0% expense ratio. Those are the fees displayed for the vault; check the fund terms for any other charges that could apply to your subscription, redemption or use of a wallet.

Is OpenEden TBILL safe?

The TBILL Vault is described as a smart-contract vault holding short-dated U.S. Treasury bills, with tokens issued by a BVI-regulated professional fund. That does not remove issuer, fund, custody, smart-contract or redemption risks, and an audit is not published on the page.

How do you mint or redeem TBILL tokens?

The vault page describes minting and redemption but does not name supported networks or explain redemption timing and limits. Confirm the current process and supported assets with OpenEden before sending funds.

Is EDEN the same as the TBILL token?

EDEN and TBILL are not presented as the same token: TBILL represents exposure to the fund’s Treasury-bill portfolio, while the relationship between EDEN and TBILL is not explained on the vault page. Do not assume holding EDEN gives you a claim on the fund.
