ICHI Review: Should You Use Its Liquidity Vaults?

ICHI lets you deposit one token into liquidity vaults that deploy funds to Uniswap V3 pools. The strategy and fee details are important to check before depositing.

Quick take

ICHI may suit DeFi users and token projects seeking single-token liquidity management through Uniswap V3. The main draw is that vaults deploy your deposit into concentrated-liquidity pools to earn trading fees. But those fees are not guaranteed, and the site currently displays zero vaults and networks. Before depositing, confirm a live vault, its strategy, contract, fees and withdrawal terms.

Is it for you?

Who ICHI suits

Good for

  • Token holders looking to put a single asset to work in liquidity pools
  • DeFi users comfortable with concentrated-liquidity and smart-contract risks
  • Projects seeking to build on-chain liquidity for their tokens

Not for

  • Anyone who needs predictable returns or guaranteed principal
  • Users who want a simple deposit product without concentrated-liquidity risk
  • Anyone who cannot verify a live vault, its fees and withdrawal terms before depositing

What can you do with an ICHI Vault?

ICHI's main product is ICHI Vaults. You deposit one token, and the vault deploys it into a concentrated-liquidity pool on Uniswap V3. The stated goal is to earn trading fees for depositors while helping token projects create deeper on-chain liquidity. ICHI also describes uses for DAO treasuries and asset managers.

This is not simply a token deposit that earns a fixed rate. Concentrated liquidity strategies manage exposure around a chosen price range, so outcomes depend on the pool, market movement and strategy. You can lose value relative to holding the token, even if the vault earns trading fees. ICHI does not promise a return.

The site currently displays zero available vaults, supported AMMs and supported networks. That conflicts with the broader network list associated with ICHI, so check the app for a live, usable vault before connecting your wallet. A listed chain does not mean every token or vault is available there.

What could an ICHI deposit cost you?

ICHI says vault depositors earn trading fees from the underlying pool, but those fees vary with trading activity and liquidity conditions. They are not a fixed yield, and ICHI does not publish a general fee schedule covering deposits, withdrawals or any performance or management charges. Review the specific vault details before approving a transaction.

You will also pay the relevant network's gas fees for wallet transactions. The strategy may expose you to changes in token prices and to concentrated-liquidity outcomes: fees earned may not offset losses or underperformance compared with simply holding the deposited asset. If the vault rebalances or changes its allocation, that can also affect your exposure.

Do not rely on an advertised or past yield as a forecast. Compare the vault's current strategy and any disclosed charges with the risks of holding the token directly. If the app does not clearly show fees and withdrawal conditions for a vault, wait rather than assume they are standard across ICHI.

How much should you trust ICHI with your tokens?

ICHI describes its protocol as non-custodial, which means it is designed to work through on-chain contracts rather than taking custody of your assets like a conventional account provider. Non-custodial does not mean risk-free: a contract vulnerability, exploit or faulty strategy could still lead to losses, and market movements can reduce the value of a position.

Two audits are listed for ICHI. Its site also names Quantstamp, Solidified, Certik, Pashov Audit Group, Bail Security and FYEO in connection with security. Those names alone do not establish which contracts were reviewed, what the audits found or whether the current vault contracts match the audited versions. Check the actual reports, dates and contract addresses for the vault you intend to use.

ICHI does not publish a licence in the details reviewed here. Treat this as a DeFi protocol, not a regulated deposit account, and only commit funds you can afford to lose. Verify contract addresses through ICHI's official app and documentation rather than relying on an unsolicited message or search ad.

Can you use ICHI on your chain and wallet?

The network list for ICHI includes Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Polygon and many others, as well as Hedera. That breadth does not mean a particular vault is deployed and accepting deposits on every listed chain. The site's current counters show zero supported networks and vaults, so treat availability as something to verify directly before you proceed.

Using a vault requires a compatible wallet on its specific network, enough of the deposit token and native network currency to pay gas. You will generally need to connect your wallet and approve token access before making an on-chain deposit. Read each transaction prompt carefully and check the token, chain and contract address.

ICHI does not publish information here about mobile app support, transaction speed or a standard withdrawal timetable. On-chain transactions depend on the network, and the vault's own withdrawal conditions matter. Check those conditions in the live app and documentation before depositing; do not assume you can exit instantly or without cost.

Where does ICHI fall short for depositors?

ICHI's main trade-off is that a single-token entry point does not make the underlying strategy simple or safe. Your assets are exposed to a liquidity pool and its price movements, and fee income can be low or variable. There is no published general fee schedule or guaranteed return to make the result easy to estimate in advance.

Availability is another practical limitation: the website's counters currently show no vaults or supported networks, even though ICHI is associated with a long list of chains. If the app does not show an active vault for your token and network, you may have no route to use the product at that time. Do not deposit based solely on the existence of the protocol or a chain listing.

Before using it, look for a current vault-specific strategy description, fees, withdrawal rules, contract address and matching audit coverage. If you cannot verify those points, or you need stable value and predictable access to your funds, a different option may fit better.

Who is ICHI for, and what should you verify first?

ICHI presents its vaults as a way for token holders, projects and treasuries to manage liquidity. That makes it more relevant to people willing to monitor a DeFi position than to someone looking for a passive savings account. Projects may also find the protocol relevant if they want to support liquidity for their own token, but the actual opportunity depends on a live vault and its terms.

The ICHI token is identified as the project's token, but its exact role in the vaults is not explained here. Do not assume holding ICHI is required to deposit, that it entitles you to vault revenue, or that it provides governance rights without checking current project documentation.

For a first deposit, use a small amount and review the position on-chain after it is confirmed. Keep a record of the vault and contract address, and understand how to withdraw before you add funds. A wallet connection is not a reason to approve an unlimited token allowance; only approve what you understand and need.

4 steps

How to start with ICHI

  1. 1

Check ICHI's official app for an active vault on your chosen network; the site's counters currently show zero vaults and networks.

  2. 2

Read the vault's strategy, eligible token, fees, withdrawal rules and current contract address. Confirm any audit covers that contract.

  3. 3

Connect a compatible wallet on the correct chain, keep native tokens available for gas and review each approval prompt.

  4. 4

Start with an amount you can afford to lose, then monitor the vault and understand how to withdraw before adding more.

ICHI FAQs

What does ICHI do?

ICHI Vaults accept a single-token deposit and deploy it into a Uniswap V3 concentrated liquidity pool. The aim is to earn trading fees while helping projects build on-chain liquidity; returns are not guaranteed.

Is ICHI non-custodial?

ICHI describes its liquidity management protocol as non-custodial. That does not remove smart-contract, strategy or market risk, and you should check the vault contract and withdrawal terms before depositing.

How much does it cost to use ICHI?

Depositors may earn trading fees generated by the pool, but ICHI does not publish a general fee schedule or guarantee a yield. Network gas also applies, and a vault's token price exposure can affect your outcome.

Which networks does ICHI support?

ICHI's listed network coverage includes Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and other chains. However, the site's counters currently show zero supported networks and vaults, so confirm that a live vault exists on your chosen chain before connecting a wallet.

Has ICHI been audited?

Two audits are listed for the project, while ICHI's site names several security firms. Check the specific audit report, contract address and scope for the vault you plan to use; an audit does not guarantee safety.
