Fibrous Review: Is Its DEX Routing Worth Using?

Fibrous is a non-custodial DEX aggregator that splits swaps across liquidity sources on supported networks. Its published app fees are clear, but you should check the route, token approvals and current network support before trading.

SkyBitcoins rating

Quick take

Fibrous suits traders who want to compare and split a swap across DEX liquidity on supported networks, or developers integrating quotes through an API. The main reason to use it is route aggregation in one onchain transaction, with published app fees of 0.02% for single-route and 0.15% for multi-route swaps, plus gas. Before signing, verify the network, token and minimum output; the team does not publish audit or licensing details.

Who Fibrous suits

Good for

  • Traders comparing prices across several DEX liquidity sources on one network
  • Wallets and dApps that need swap quotes and ready-to-execute calldata
  • Developers who want to integrate routing through TypeScript or Python SDKs
  • AI-agent users who want FibX to prepare DeFi actions for their review and signature

Not for

  • Traders who need one interface to bridge between networks; Fibrous routes within a network and does not bridge
  • Users who want published audit, licensing or incident disclosures before connecting a wallet
  • Anyone seeking a fixed trade price; routes and quotes can change with onchain liquidity

What can you do with Fibrous?

Fibrous is a DEX aggregator: rather than making you pick one liquidity pool, its path solver evaluates routes across available venues and can divide an order among them. The app offers swaps, Batch and Limit orders, and a Predict product for markets on crypto prices, sports and macro events. Predict is a distinct product from token swapping; check its terms and whether it is available and lawful where you live before using it.

The team also offers an API and SDK that return a quote with execution calldata, aimed at wallets, dApps and developers. FibX is a CLI and MCP server for AI-agent workflows including quotes, swaps and transfers on Base, HyperEVM and Monad, plus Aave V3 on Base. Fibrous says users remain in control of signing: an agent can prepare an action, but you simulate and approve it. These extra tools are useful if you build on DeFi; most casual users can focus on the swap app.

How much does a Fibrous swap cost?

The app lists a 0.02% charge for a single-route swap and 0.15% for a multi-route swap, with gas on top. A trade split across venues may get a better executable price, but the extra route fee means you should compare the final output—not just the headline rate—with a direct swap. Network congestion and gas prices can also affect the total cost.

Fibrous says it does not add a fee to swaps made through its API and SDK. That does not mean those swaps are free: you still need to account for blockchain gas and any costs inherent in the underlying route. The app’s route and fee can depend on how it splits a trade. Review the quote, fee and estimated gas immediately before signing, particularly for a small trade where costs may take a larger share of the amount. Fibrous does not publish a general fee schedule for Batch, Limit or Predict in the homepage details, so check the product’s displayed terms before using those features.

How much should you trust Fibrous with a wallet?

Fibrous describes its swap service as non-custodial. You connect your own wallet, approve a token when needed, then sign the transaction that executes through its onchain aggregation router. The site says a trade is checked against a minimum output and cancelled if that condition is not met at execution. This can protect you from an outdated quote, but it cannot eliminate smart-contract, token or network risks.

The team does not publish audit, licensing or incident details on its homepage. That leaves important independent security and governance questions unanswered; a non-custodial design is not the same as an audited or risk-free product. Be cautious with unfamiliar tokens, check the router and transaction details your wallet presents, and avoid approving an unlimited amount unless you understand the permission. Fibrous’ own figures describe activity, not a security record: the site reports more than $400 million in volume, 880,000 users and 2.1 million trades as of November 2026, but these are team-updated, not live figures.

Which networks and wallets can you use?

Fibrous lists Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad as live networks. Its app routes within a selected network; it does not move assets across chains. Choose the network where your funds are held, and make sure your wallet is on that same network before asking for a quote. The homepage describes HyperEVM, not Hyperliquid L1, as one of its live swap networks.

For a swap, Fibrous says it refreshes the quote against the latest block, estimates gas and applies a short validity window when you press Swap. The route executes in one transaction, although you may first need to sign a token approval. The site says approval can be bundled where EIP-7702 or ERC-4337 smart accounts are enabled. This depends on the wallet and network; do not assume every approval is bundled. The team lists FibX for Base, HyperEVM and Monad, with Aave V3 support on Base. Check the app’s live network selector for current availability before transferring funds.

Where does Fibrous fall short?

The routing model can help when liquidity is spread across venues, but it cannot guarantee the best price in every market. A quote is only a snapshot; pool conditions can move before execution, and a transaction may fail if it no longer meets the minimum output. You also need to account for gas, approvals and the chance that the route uses unfamiliar venues or intermediate tokens.

Fibrous does not bridge, so it is not a one-stop tool for moving assets between the networks it supports. Published network and product details can also differ by feature: the swap app lists four live networks, while FibX has its own narrower network coverage. Confirm the particular product and chain you intend to use. If you want verifiable audits or licensing information before interacting with a DeFi contract, Fibrous does not publish those details on its homepage. For Predict markets, examine the specific market rules and local legal requirements rather than treating them as ordinary token swaps.

5 steps

How to start with Fibrous

  1. 1

Open the Fibrous app and connect a wallet that holds funds on one of the listed networks: Starknet, Base, HyperEVM or Monad.

  2. 2

Select the correct network and verify both token addresses, especially when trading an unfamiliar asset.

  3. 3

Review the route, displayed fee, estimated gas and minimum output; compare the final amount with a direct swap if the trade is material.

  4. 4

Check any token approval requested by your wallet and limit its scope where possible.

  5. 5

Sign only if the transaction details match your intended trade; keep enough native tokens in the wallet for gas.

Fibrous FAQs

Is Fibrous non-custodial?

Fibrous says it is non-custodial: you connect your own wallet and sign the transaction, which executes onchain. That does not remove smart-contract or token risks, so check the token and approval before signing.

What fees does Fibrous charge?

The app lists a 0.02% fee for single-route swaps and 0.15% for multi-route swaps, plus network gas. Fibrous says its API and SDK swaps add no Fibrous fee, though gas and any costs from the route still apply.

Which networks does Fibrous support?

Fibrous lists Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad as live networks. It routes trades within a network and does not bridge assets between them, so confirm the network selected in your wallet before swapping.

Can a Fibrous swap fail or return less than quoted?

Fibrous says it refreshes the quote before execution and cancels the transaction if the minimum output is not met. Quotes can still change, and you pay gas for onchain transactions that are successfully submitted.

Has Fibrous been audited or licensed?

The team does not publish audit, licensing or incident details on its homepage. Treat this as an onchain trading tool rather than a guarantee of safety, and only approve tokens and amounts you intend to use.
