Owning B3TR: Uses, Storage and Risks

B3TR is the reward token used in VeBetter, an ecosystem of apps on VeChainThor. Participating apps can reward verified actions such as cycling, exercising, using reusable products, joining cleanups or charging an electric vehicle. The app checks the action and records proof on VeChainThor before awarding B3TR; the exact steps and eligibility can differ by app.

B3TR is not VeBetter’s governance token. Community members use VOT3 to vote weekly on how B3TR rewards are distributed among apps. If you hold B3TR, check the rules of the app you plan to use: receiving rewards depends on its verification process, and holding the token alone does not mean you will earn more. Treat rewards as variable rather than guaranteed income.

B3TR is issued on VeChainThor. The project information identifies no other supported chain, so do not assume that a token with the same ticker on another network is the same asset. Before sending B3TR, confirm that both the sending and receiving wallets support VeChainThor assets and that the destination accepts B3TR.

Choose a wallet that supports VeChainThor, such as VeWorld, and verify the token and network in the wallet before making a transfer. A wallet may not display a token automatically even when it supports the network. Never send B3TR to an address on a different chain just because the address looks familiar. If you are using an app in VeBetter, check its own instructions for connecting a wallet and handling rewards.

As of 2026-11-08, B3TR has about 480.6 million tokens in circulation out of a total supply of about 480.6 million. Its maximum supply is 1 billion.
