Owning TMON: Toyota Exposure, Storage and Risks

TMON is Ondo’s tokenized version of Toyota, designed to give you economic exposure similar to holding TM, with dividends reinvested. It is not the same as buying Toyota shares through a broker: the token does not by itself make you a Toyota shareholder or give you shareholder voting rights. Its value can still move with the underlying stock and with the market price of TMON.

Ondo says its tokenized stocks let eligible non-US retail and institutional users mint and redeem tokens 24 hours a day, five days a week, with access to traditional exchange liquidity. Restrictions apply, so check whether you qualify and what redemption terms apply before relying on that route. TMON is issued on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain; it is not a network’s native coin. Make sure any service you use supports TMON on the exact chain you intend to use.

TMON is listed on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain. A wallet must support both the relevant network and the token standard used for your TMON; a wallet that works on Ethereum may not automatically support your Solana or BNB Chain tokens. Before depositing, confirm the network and token address with Ondo or the service you are using. Sending tokens to an unsupported network or address can make them difficult or impossible to recover.

You can use a compatible self-custody wallet to hold the token, or leave it with a platform that supports it. With self-custody, you control the recovery phrase and must keep it private and backed up securely. With a custodial platform, you rely on that provider to safeguard access and process withdrawals. Check withdrawal support and any applicable restrictions before transferring TMON; a token balance shown in a wallet does not guarantee that you can redeem it for cash or underlying shares on demand.

As of November 7, 2026, TMON’s reported circulating and total supply were both about 10,240.1 tokens. No maximum supply is listed, so you should not assume the current total is a hard cap. Supply can change if tokens are minted or redeemed.

On that date, TMON was priced at about $219.44, with a market capitalization of about $2.2 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was only about $10, a sign that trading activity can be very thin. A displayed price may therefore be a poor guide to the price you can actually get for a larger trade. Check the live order depth, spread and redemption terms before acting. These figures change, and past prices do not indicate what TMON will be worth later.

Treat TMON as a tokenized financial product, not as a direct holding in Toyota. You depend on the token’s issuer and related arrangements to maintain the promised economic exposure, and on supported minting or redemption processes if you want to exit that way. Read the current product terms to understand eligibility, fees, redemption conditions and what happens if the issuer or a service provider cannot perform. Ondo says restrictions apply; it does not mean every holder can redeem at any time.

You also face ordinary crypto risks: a wrong-chain transfer, stolen recovery phrase, compromised wallet, smart-contract flaw or service outage can cause losses. Thin trading can make it hard to sell near the displayed price. The underlying stock market and token markets may not operate on the same schedule, and a token’s price can diverge from the exposure it is intended to track. Never store your recovery phrase online or share it with anyone claiming to help.
