What does holding TLO give you?
TLO is a share token for Taler’s flagship vault on Ethereum, not a general-purpose lending or governance token. You deposit USDC into the vault and receive TLO to represent your proportional claim on its underlying assets. The vault places assets into curated yield strategies, and TLO’s value can increase as those strategies generate returns. Returns are not guaranteed: strategy losses, costs, or other changes in the vault can affect what your shares are worth.
You can redeem TLO through the vault’s redemption module for the underlying asset, USDC. Withdrawals use an asynchronous module, so do not assume a redemption is immediate. Check the vault’s current redemption process, eligibility rules, and any applicable costs before depositing. Taler has permissioned and permissionless vaults, but that does not mean every vault or role is open to every user. Confirm that you can access the specific vault and understand its strategy before treating TLO as a cash equivalent.
Which chains and wallets can you use for TLO?
TLO is issued on Ethereum. You will need an Ethereum-compatible wallet to hold the Ethereum token and interact with the vault; keep enough ETH available for network transaction fees. Taler also supports a bridged form of TLO on NEAR through NEAR Intents, where it can be swapped through the 1Click solver network. The NEAR route is distinct from depositing into or redeeming directly from the Ethereum vault, so confirm which network and token representation you are using before transferring funds.
The project does not identify a particular wallet you must use. Choose a wallet that supports the relevant network and lets you verify the token contract and transaction details. A token sent to an incompatible network or address may be difficult or impossible to recover. Do not rely only on a token name or ticker when selecting an asset: check that you are interacting with the intended Ethereum token or supported NEAR representation.
How does TLO supply relate to its value?
As of 2026-11-08, TLO’s circulating and total supply were each about 3.73 million tokens. A maximum supply has not been published. These figures can change, so treat them as a dated snapshot rather than a permanent limit. TLO is a vault share: its purpose is to represent a claim on the vault, rather than to maintain a fixed dollar price like a stablecoin.
The value you can realize depends on the vault’s underlying assets and the redemption process, not just on a quoted token price. Vault results may vary as strategies earn or lose value, and a displayed market price may not match the amount available through redemption. Before you deposit, check the current vault accounting and redemption terms. Taler does not publish a guaranteed yield in the project description, so do not assume that past or expected strategy performance will continue.
How can you store TLO and reduce custody risks?
For self-custody, store TLO in a wallet that supports Ethereum, and keep your recovery phrase offline and private. Never share it with someone claiming they need it to process a deposit or redemption. Consider a hardware wallet if you can use one securely, and test unfamiliar wallet steps with care. Check the network and recipient address before sending TLO; Ethereum and NEAR transactions use different networks and token representations.
Using the vault also means interacting with smart contracts. Taler describes a modular system with vault, strategy-integration, pricing, and redemption components, so a problem in one component could affect deposits, valuations, or withdrawals. The project does not publish an independent audit in the supplied project description. That is not proof of a defect, but you should not treat the contracts as risk-free. Start only with an amount you can afford to lose and understand how to exit before depositing.
What can go wrong when you hold or redeem TLO?
TLO exposes you to more than the token’s market price. The vault’s curated yield strategies can lose money, and the pricing process depends on oracle infrastructure. Contract bugs, compromised access controls, or failures in external integrations could also affect assets or operations. Because withdrawals are handled asynchronously, redemption may not be instant; check the current process and do not deposit funds you may need on a fixed schedule.
There is also a cross-chain risk if you use the NEAR representation: bridging and solver-based swaps add separate technical steps and potential failure points. Vault access can depend on its permission settings, so confirm that you are eligible before sending USDC. Taler does not publish the fees in the project description; review any transaction, vault, or redemption costs in the interface before confirming. TLO is not a bank deposit, and neither strategy returns nor recovery of lost funds is assured.
By the numbers
TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler in numbers
TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler (TLO) is ranked #1,861 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $3.84M and a price of $1.03 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($3.84M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 0.1% over 7 days, up 0.5% over 30 days. It is trading at or near its all-time high of $1.03.
About 3.73M TLO are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
TLO has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

TLO FAQs
What is TLO used for?
TLO is the share token for Taler’s flagship Ethereum vault. It represents a proportional claim on the vault’s underlying assets, which are deployed in curated yield strategies.
How do you redeem TLO for USDC?
You deposit USDC into the vault and receive TLO. You can redeem TLO through the vault’s redemption module for USDC, but the process is asynchronous, so a withdrawal may not be immediate.
Is TLO available on more than one blockchain?
TLO is issued on Ethereum and is also bridged to NEAR through NEAR Intents. The NEAR representation and Ethereum vault token involve different networks, so check the network and asset carefully before transferring.
What is the supply of TLO?
As of 2026-11-08, circulating and total supply were each about 3.73 million TLO. A maximum supply has not been published, and these supply figures may change.
What are the main risks of holding TLO?
TLO’s value can be affected by the performance of the vault’s yield strategies, smart-contract or oracle failures, and redemption delays. If you use the NEAR version, cross-chain and swap infrastructure add further risks.
What is the market cap of TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler?
As of Nov 8, 2026, TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler had a market cap of about $3.84M, ranking #1,861 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of TLO?
TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler's all-time high is $1.03, reached on Nov 7, 2026. Its all-time low is $1.02 (Sep 24, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of TLO?
As of Nov 8, 2026, about 3.73M TLO were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
Which blockchains is TLO on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum.
