Owning POLS: Uses, Chains and Risks

POLS is Polkastarter’s token, tied to a platform for launching token sales and projects. It is also associated with POLS Power, which facilitates participation in initial decentralized offerings (IDOs) and other token sales on Polkastarter. Holding POLS does not by itself guarantee access to a sale or an allocation; check the current participation rules before relying on a balance for eligibility.

Polkastarter describes holders as able to vote on product features, token utility, auction types and which projects are featured. Treat those voting rights as a way to express preferences, not a promise that a proposal will pass or that the platform will adopt it. If you are considering POLS, focus on whether you want to use the platform or take part in its governance, rather than assuming the token’s price will rise.

POLS is issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base; it is not listed as the native token of any of those networks. These are separate networks, so the same token can exist in different network versions. When receiving or sending POLS, make sure the wallet and exchange withdrawal network match. A transfer to an incompatible network or address can be difficult or impossible to recover.

Use a wallet that supports the network where your POLS is held. Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base are EVM-compatible networks, so many common EVM wallets can work with them, but you may need to add or select the correct network. Check the token contract address against an official Polkastarter channel before importing a token or making a transfer; token symbols alone are not unique. You may also need the network’s native coin to pay transaction fees, which are separate from POLS.

POLS has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. The reported total supply is also 100 million, with about 99.21 million circulating as of 2026-11-08. Circulating supply is the portion reported as in circulation; it does not tell you how tokens are distributed among holders or whether they are actively used.

Supply figures can change as tokens move into or out of circulation, so check current figures if they matter to your decision. A capped supply does not ensure demand, liquidity or a particular market value. Nor does it tell you whether holding POLS will qualify you for an IDO or voting: those depend on Polkastarter’s current rules and how its products operate.

For long-term storage, use a wallet you control and protect its recovery phrase offline. Never share that phrase or enter it into a site or message that claims to offer support. Consider a hardware wallet if you hold an amount that would be costly to lose, and test a small transfer before moving a larger balance. Keep POLS on the correct network and retain enough of that network’s native coin for transaction fees.

POLS carries several risks: its market price can fall sharply, and trading activity does not guarantee that you can sell at your preferred price. As of 2026-11-08, POLS was about $0.051, with a market capitalization of about $5.0 million and 24-hour trading volume of about $367,000. The project’s launchpad, token-sale and governance activity may also change; a wallet error, compromised recovery phrase or issue with a relevant smart contract can cause losses. Only hold an amount you can afford to lose.
