What can you use Permission Coin for?

Permission Coin (ASK) is a rewards token for Permission.io’s opt-in advertising model. The project says users can earn ASK by choosing to share data and engaging with ads or content, including video ads. Advertisers can use ASK as an incentive for customer engagement and permission-based campaigns.

The idea is to let people choose whether to share information and receive marketing, rather than treating their attention and data as freely available. Permission also describes technology called Data Algebra, intended to help people combine data held across different services. That does not mean holding ASK automatically gives you control over data held by other companies: the value depends on Permission’s products and on advertisers and users adopting them.

The project has discussed enabling ASK earnings and spending with Shopify merchants, with other e-commerce platforms as future goals. Treat those as plans, not guaranteed features. Before relying on ASK for rewards or purchases, check whether the specific service you intend to use currently supports it and what conditions apply.

Which network and wallet should you use for ASK?

ASK has been issued on Polygon and Base; it is not the native coin of either network. If you hold it in a self-custody wallet, you need a wallet that supports the relevant network and token. A token on Polygon and a token on Base are not interchangeable just because both use the ASK name. Confirm the network and token contract against Permission.io’s official information before receiving or sending funds.

To transfer ASK, choose the same network in both the sending and receiving wallet or exchange. Sending on the wrong network can leave the tokens inaccessible, and exchanges may support deposits or withdrawals on only one network. Check the destination service’s deposit instructions before transferring, including any minimum deposit or confirmation requirements.

Network fees are paid in that network’s own gas token, not ASK. Keep enough of the appropriate gas token in the wallet to make a transfer. If you use an exchange, confirm its current ASK network support and withdrawal terms first; these can change.

How much ASK exists, and what does that mean for holders?

ASK has a maximum and total supply of 100 billion tokens. About 23.1 billion were circulating as of November 7, 2026, so a substantial portion of the total supply was not counted as circulating then. The gap matters when you assess dilution: tokens that enter circulation later may affect available supply, though the figures alone do not show when or how that will happen.

As of November 7, 2026, ASK’s market capitalization was about $2.0 million and its fully diluted valuation was about $8.7 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was around $10, an extremely small amount relative to the market cap. These are dated figures, not current quotes, and a low-volume market can make it harder to trade at a displayed price.

Check the token’s current supply and trading conditions before making a transaction. Do not assume that total supply, circulating supply and the amount you can actually sell are the same thing.

How can you store ASK more safely?

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the network where your ASK is held. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private; anyone who obtains it can control the wallet. Consider a hardware wallet if you hold an amount worth protecting, and never enter your recovery phrase into a website or share it with someone claiming to provide support.

Before adding ASK to a wallet, verify the token contract and network using Permission.io’s official channels. Token names and symbols can be copied by unrelated tokens. For a first transfer, send a small test amount and confirm it arrives before moving more. Check the receiving address and network carefully, since blockchain transfers are generally difficult or impossible to reverse.

If you keep ASK on an exchange, you rely on that company to safeguard assets and process withdrawals. Review its supported networks and withdrawal rules, and secure your account with a unique password and available two-factor authentication. Keep records of transfers and rewards for your own tax and accounting needs.

What could go wrong if you hold ASK?

ASK’s main risk is that its usefulness depends on Permission.io’s advertising and data-sharing products attracting users, advertisers and participating services. A stated goal or planned integration is not a guarantee of adoption or future demand. If the service changes or participation is limited, the token’s practical utility may be affected.

There is also market risk. ASK’s price has been volatile, and the trading volume reported for November 7, 2026 was about $10 over 24 hours. Thin trading can mean wide spreads, difficulty finding a buyer, or a large price move when an order is placed. A market-cap figure does not mean you can sell your holdings at that valuation.

You also face blockchain risks, including sending tokens on the wrong network, losing wallet access, and interacting with a counterfeit token or malicious contract. Sharing personal data for rewards raises a separate privacy question: consider what data you disclose, how the service says it will use it, and whether the reward is worth that disclosure to you.

About 23.11B ASK are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100B (23% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $10, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

ASK has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Polygon, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
