## What does holding KNCL mean today?

KNCL is the legacy version of Kyber Network Crystal, the token associated with the Kyber Network decentralized trading protocol. Kyber later introduced an upgraded KNC token; KNCL is not the same token contract as current KNC. That distinction matters: owning KNCL does not automatically mean you hold the upgraded token or have current KNC governance rights.

KNC has been used in Kyber’s ecosystem for governance and other protocol functions. Those uses belong to the current token and protocol, so check the exact token contract and current Kyber guidance before assuming your KNCL can be used for them. Historically, holders had a 1:1 migration route from the legacy token to the upgraded KNC. Whether a conversion is still available for your tokens depends on the current migration process and its support.

Treat KNCL as a legacy asset first, not as a routine way to use Kyber. If you are considering acquiring it, confirm why you want this specific token and how you would later transfer or convert it.

## Which networks and supply figures apply to KNCL?

KNCL is not a native coin for its own blockchain. It has been issued on Ethereum, Harmony and Fantom, so the chain and token contract matter whenever you receive, store or send it. A wallet that supports one of those networks may not automatically support KNCL on all three; check support for the exact network and contract.

As of 2026-11-08, the reported circulating supply was about 10.82 million KNCL, total supply about 11.25 million, and maximum supply 226 million. These are figures for the legacy token and should not be read as the supply of upgraded KNC. The reported KNCL price was about $0.13, with market capitalization around $1.4 million and 24-hour trading volume around $94 on that date. Such low reported volume can make quoted prices unreliable and trading difficult. These figures change, and a quote may not reflect what you could actually sell for.

Before relying on an exchange listing or wallet balance, compare the token symbol, network and contract. Similar names are not enough to identify the right asset.

## How can you store KNCL without losing access?

For self-custody, use a wallet that explicitly supports KNCL on the network where your tokens are held. Hardware wallets can keep signing keys offline, while a reputable software wallet may be more convenient; either way, protect your recovery phrase and never share it with someone claiming they can migrate your tokens for you.

Before sending KNCL, check the receiving wallet or exchange accepts the same token on the same network. Sending on the wrong chain, or to an address that does not support the asset, can make recovery difficult or impossible. A small test transfer can help when you are unsure, but it does not replace checking the address and network carefully.

If you plan to migrate to KNC, use only a current process confirmed by Kyber’s official channels. Do not rely on unsolicited messages, search ads or a site that asks you to reveal your recovery phrase. A migration page should never need your seed phrase.

## What could go wrong if you keep or trade KNCL?

KNCL carries extra uncertainty because it is a legacy token. A wallet may display a balance even when an exchange, decentralized application or migration service no longer supports it. The existence of the upgraded KNC also creates a risk of confusing the two tokens or sending the wrong one to a deposit address.

Liquidity is another concern. The reported 24-hour volume was only about $94 as of 2026-11-08, so a displayed price may not represent an easy sale at that value. Legacy-token markets can have wide spreads, few buyers and exchange listings that change without notice. Check whether a venue supports the exact KNCL contract and network before depositing; never assume a listing for KNC accepts KNCL.

There is also ordinary crypto risk: prices can fall sharply, transactions are generally irreversible, and a lost recovery phrase can mean permanent loss. Decide what you can afford to lose, and do not treat historical prices or a maximum-supply figure as a promise of future value.

By the numbers

Kyber Network Crystal Legacy in numbers

Kyber Network Crystal Legacy (KNCL) is ranked #2,697 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.41M and a price of $0.1302 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($1.46M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 4.4% over 7 days, down 2.0% over 30 days, down 59.5% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $5.80, set on Jan 8, 2018.

About 10.82M KNCL are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 226M (5% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $94, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

KNCL has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, Harmony, Fantom. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups KNCL under DEX tokens, Exchange tokens, Governance tokens.

KNCL FAQs

Is KNCL the same as KNC?

KNCL is the legacy Kyber Network Crystal token, while KNC is the upgraded token. They are different token contracts, so check the symbol and contract rather than relying on the name alone.

Which networks support KNCL?

KNCL has been issued on Ethereum, Harmony and Fantom. Confirm that your wallet or exchange supports the specific network and token contract you hold.

Can I convert KNCL to KNC?

A historical 1:1 migration route from legacy KNCL to upgraded KNC was offered. Check Kyber’s current official guidance to find out whether migration is still supported for your tokens; never share your wallet recovery phrase to convert tokens.

How many KNCL tokens are there?

As of 2026-11-08, the reported circulating supply was about 10.82 million and total supply about 11.25 million, with a stated maximum of 226 million. These figures refer to legacy KNCL, not necessarily the upgraded KNC token.

How do I store KNCL safely?

Only use a wallet that supports KNCL on the network where your tokens are held. Keep your recovery phrase offline and verify both the recipient address and network before sending, since mistaken transfers may be irreversible.

What is the market cap of Kyber Network Crystal Legacy?

As of Nov 8, 2026, Kyber Network Crystal Legacy had a market cap of about $1.41M, ranking #2,697 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of KNCL?

Kyber Network Crystal Legacy's all-time high is $5.80, reached on Jan 8, 2018. Its all-time low is $0.0982 (Aug 14, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

Which blockchains is KNCL on?
